സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 123

1 സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവനായുള്ളോവേ, നിങ്കലേക്കു ഞാൻ എന്റെ കണ്ണു ഉയൎത്തുന്നു.

A Song of Ascents. Unto thee do I lift up mine eyes, O thou that sittest in the heavens.

2 ദാസന്മാരുടെ കണ്ണു യജമാനന്റെ കയ്യിലേക്കും ദാസിയുടെ കണ്ണു യജമാനത്തിയുടെ കയ്യിലേക്കും എന്നപോലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണു ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു, അവൻ ഞങ്ങളോടു കൃപചെയ്യുവോളം നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

Behold, as the eyes of servants [look] unto the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes [look] unto the LORD our God, until he have mercy upon us.

3 യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കൃപ ചെയ്യേണമേ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കൃപ ചെയ്യേണമേ; ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്ദ സഹിച്ചു മടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt.

4 സുഖിയന്മാരുടെ പരിഹാസവും അഹങ്കാരികളുടെ നിന്ദയും സഹിച്ചു ഞങ്ങളുടെ മനം ഏറ്റവും മടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.
