സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 109
1 എന്റെ പുകഴ്ചയായ ദൈവമേ, മൌനമായിരിക്കരുതേ.
Unto the end. A Psalm of David.
2 ദുഷ്ടന്റെ വായും വഞ്ചകന്റെ വായും എന്റെ നേരെ തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഭോഷ്കുള്ള നാവുകൊണ്ടു അവർ എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
O God, do not be silent toward my praise, for the mouth of the sinner and the mouth of the deceitful one have been opened against me.
3 അവർ ദ്വേഷവാക്കുകൾകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞു കാരണംകൂടാതെ എന്നോടു പൊരുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
They have spoken against me with deceitful tongues, and they have surrounded me with hateful words, and they fought against me over nothing.
4 എന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തിന്നു പകരം അവർ വൈരം കാണിക്കുന്നു; ഞാനോ പ്രാൎത്ഥന ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
Instead of choosing to act on my behalf, they detracted me. But I gave myself to prayer.
5 നന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മയും സ്നേഹത്തിന്നു പകരം ദ്വേഷവും അവർ എന്നോടു കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
And they set evil against me, instead of good, and hatred, in return for my love.
6 നീ അവന്റെമേൽ ഒരു ദുഷ്ടനെ നിയമിക്കേണമേ; എതിരാളി അവന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു നില്ക്കട്ടെ.
Establish the sinner over him, and let the devil stand at his right hand.
7 അവനെ വിസ്തരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവൻ കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്നു തെളിയട്ടെ; അവന്റെ പ്രാൎത്ഥന പാപമായി തീരട്ടെ.
When he is judged, may he go forth in condemnation, and may his prayer be counted as sin.
8 അവന്റെ നാളുകൾ ചുരുങ്ങിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അവന്റെ സ്ഥാനം മറ്റൊരുത്തൻ ഏല്ക്കട്ടെ.
May his days be few, and let another take his episcopate.
9 അവന്റെ മക്കൾ അനാഥരും അവന്റെ ഭാൎയ്യ വിധവയും ആയി തീരട്ടെ.
May his sons be orphans, and his wife a widow.
10 അവന്റെ മക്കൾ അലഞ്ഞു തെണ്ടിനടക്കട്ടെ; തങ്ങളുടെ ശൂന്യഭവനങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു ഇരന്നു നടക്കട്ടെ;
May his sons be carried by those who walk unsteadily, and may they go begging. And may they be cast out of their dwelling places.
11 കടക്കാരൻ അവന്നുള്ളതൊക്കെയും കൊണ്ടു പോകട്ടെ; അന്യജാതിക്കാർ അവന്റെ പ്രയത്നഫലം കൊള്ളയിടട്ടെ.
May the money lenders scrutinize all his belongings, and let foreigners plunder his labors.
12 അവന്നു ദയ കാണിപ്പാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടാകരുതേ; അവന്റെ അനാഥരോടു ആൎക്കും കൃപ തോന്നരുതേ.
May there be no one to assist him, nor anyone to be compassionate to his orphaned children.
13 അവന്റെ സന്തതി മുടിഞ്ഞുപോകട്ടെ; അടുത്ത തലമുറയിൽ തന്നേ അവരുടെ പേർ മാഞ്ഞു പോകട്ടെ;
May his posterity be in utter ruin. In one generation, may his name be wiped away.
14 അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യം യഹോവ ഓൎക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ; അവന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ പാപം മാഞ്ഞുപോകയുമരുതേ.
May the iniquity of his fathers return in memory before the sight of the Lord, and do not let the sin of his mother be wiped away.
15 അവ എല്ലായ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; അവരുടെ ഓൎമ്മ അവൻ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു ഛേദിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.
May these be opposite the Lord always, but let their memory perish from the earth.
16 അവൻ ദയ കാണിപ്പാൻ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ; എളിയവനെയും ദരിദ്രനെയും മനംതകൎന്നവനെയും മരണപൎയ്യന്തം ഉപദ്രവിച്ചു.
For certain things are not remembered about them, in order to be merciful.
17 ശാപം അവന്നു പ്രിയമായിരുന്നു; അതു അവന്നു ഭവിച്ചു; അനുഗ്രഹം അവന്നു അപ്രിയമായിരുന്നു; അതു അവനെ വിട്ടകന്നു പോയി.
And so the destitute man was pursued, with the beggar and the remorseful in heart, so as to be put to death.
18 അവൻ വസ്ത്രംപോലെ ശാപം ധരിച്ചു; അതു വെള്ളംപോലെ അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിലും എണ്ണപോലെ അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിലും ചെന്നു.
And he loved a curse, and it came to him. And he was unwilling to have a blessing, and it went far from him. And he clothed himself with curses like a garment, and it entered his inner self like water, and it entered his bones like oil.
19 അതു അവന്നു പുതെക്കുന്ന വസ്ത്രംപോലെയും നിത്യം അരെക്കു കെട്ടുന്ന കച്ചപോലെയും ഇരിക്കട്ടെ.
May it be to him like a garment that covers him, and like a belt that always cinches him.
20 ഇതു എന്റെ എതിരാളികൾക്കും എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി ദോഷം പറയുന്നവൎക്കും യഹോവ കൊടുക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഫലം ആകുന്നു.
This is the work of those who detract me with the Lord and who speak evils against my soul.
21 നീയോ കൎത്താവായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നടുത്തവണ്ണം എന്നോടു ചെയ്യേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദയ നല്ലതാകകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കേണമേ.
But as for you, Lord, O Lord: act on my behalf for your name’s sake. For your mercy is sweet.
22 ഞാൻ അരിഷ്ടനും ദരിദ്രനും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ മുറിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.
Free me, for I am destitute and poor, and my heart has been disquieted within me.
23 ചാഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന നിഴൽപോലെ ഞാൻ കടന്നുപോകുന്നു; ഒരു വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെപ്പോലെ എന്നെ ചാടിക്കുന്നു.
I have been taken away like a shadow when it declines, and I have been shaken off like locusts.
24 എന്റെ മുഴങ്കാലുകൾ ഉപവാസംകൊണ്ടു വിറെക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ ദേഹം പുഷ്ടിവിട്ടു ക്ഷയിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
My knees have been weakened by fasting, and my flesh has been replaced by oil.
25 ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു ഒരു നിന്ദയായ്തീൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ കാണുമ്പോൾ അവർ തല കുലുക്കുന്നു.
And I have become a disgrace to them. They saw me, and they shook their heads.
26 എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ ദയെക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.
Help me, O Lord, my God. Save me according to your mercy.
27 യഹോവേ, ഇതു നിന്റെ കൈ എന്നും നീ ഇതു ചെയ്തു എന്നും അവർ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.
And let them know that this is your hand, and that you, O Lord, have done this.
28 അവർ ശപിക്കട്ടെ; നീയോ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കേണമേ; അവർ എതിൎക്കുമ്പോൾ ലജ്ജിച്ചുപോകട്ടെ; അടിയനോ സന്തോഷിക്കും;
They will curse, and you will bless. May those who rise up against me be confounded. But your servant will rejoice.
29 എന്റെ എതിരാളികൾ നിന്ദ ധരിക്കും; പുതെപ്പു പുതെക്കുംപോലെ അവർ ലജ്ജ പുതെക്കും.
May those who detract me be clothed with shame, and may they be covered with their confusion, as if with a double cloak.
30 ഞാൻ എന്റെ വായ്കൊണ്ടു യഹോവയെ അത്യന്തം സ്തുതിക്കും; അതേ, ഞാൻ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ അവനെ പുകഴ്ത്തും.
I will confess exceedingly to the Lord with my mouth. And I will praise him in the midst of the multitude.
31 അവൻ എളിയവനെ ശിക്ഷെക്കു വിധിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു രക്ഷിപ്പാൻ അവന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു നില്ക്കുന്നു.
For he stands at the right hand of the poor, in order to save my soul from persecutors.
