സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 106

1 യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിൻ; യഹോവെക്കു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‌വിൻ; അവൻ നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളതു.

Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

2 യഹോവയുടെ വീൎയ്യപ്രവൃത്തികളെ ആർ വൎണ്ണിക്കും? അവന്റെ സ്തുതിയെ ഒക്കെയും ആർ വിവരിക്കും?

Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD, or fully declare all his praise?

3 ന്യായത്തെ പ്രമാണിക്കുന്നവരും എല്ലായ്പോഴും നീതി പ്രവൎത്തിക്കുന്നവനും ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാർ.

Blessed are those who uphold justice, who practice righteousness at all times.

4 യഹോവേ, നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തവരുടെ നന്മ ഞാൻ കാണേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സന്തോഷത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ അവകാശത്തോടുകൂടെ പുകഴേണ്ടതിന്നും

Remember me, LORD, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation,

5 നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടുള്ള കടാക്ഷപ്രകാരം എന്നെ ഓൎത്തു, നിന്റെ രക്ഷകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ സന്ദൎശിക്കേണമേ.

that I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.

6 ഞങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പാപം ചെയ്തു; ഞങ്ങൾ അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചു.

We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.

7 ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ മിസ്രയീമിൽവെച്ചു നിന്റെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെ ഗ്രഹിക്കാതെയും നിന്റെ മഹാദയയെ ഓൎക്കാതെയും കടല്ക്കരയിൽ, ചെങ്കടല്ക്കരയിൽവെച്ചു തന്നേ മത്സരിച്ചു.

Our fathers did not understand your wonders in Egypt. They did not remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, but were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.

8 എന്നിട്ടും അവൻ തന്റെ മഹാശക്തി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ നാമംനിമിത്തം അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power known.

9 അവൻ ചെങ്കടലിനെ ശാസിച്ചു, അതു ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയി; അവൻ അവരെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽകൂടി എന്നപോലെ ആഴിയിൽകൂടി നടത്തി.

He rebuked the Red Sea also, and it was dried up; so he led them through the depths, as through a desert.

10 അവൻ പകയന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു; ശത്രുവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു അവരെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു.

He saved them from the hand of him who hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.

11 വെള്ളം അവരുടെ വൈരികളെ മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അവരിൽ ഒരുത്തനും ശേഷിച്ചില്ല.

The waters covered their adversaries. There was not one of them left.

12 അവർ അവന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അവന്നു സ്തുതിപാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Then they believed his words. They sang his praise.

13 എങ്കിലും അവർ വേഗത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ മറന്നു; അവന്റെ ആലോചനെക്കു കാത്തിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

They soon forgot his works. They did not wait for his counsel,

14 മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ചു അവർ ഏറ്റവും മോഹിച്ചു; നിൎജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു അവർ ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.

but gave in to craving in the desert, and tested God in the wasteland.

15 അവർ അപേക്ഷിച്ചതു അവൻ അവൎക്കുകൊടുത്തു; എങ്കിലും അവരുടെ പ്രാണന്നു ക്ഷയം അയച്ചു.

He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul.

16 പാളയത്തിൽവെച്ചു അവർ മോശെയോടും യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധനായ അഹരോനോടും അസൂയപ്പെട്ടു.

They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron, the LORD's holy one.

17 ഭൂമി പിളൎന്നു ദാഥാനെ വിഴുങ്ങി; അബീരാമിന്റെ കൂട്ടത്തെയും മൂടിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram.

18 അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ തീ കത്തി; അഗ്നിജ്വാല ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

A fire was kindled in their company. The flame burned up the wicked.

19 അവർ ഹോരേബിൽവെച്ചു ഒരു കാളക്കുട്ടിയെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി; വാൎത്തുണ്ടാക്കിയ വിഗ്രഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

They made a calf in Horeb, and worshiped a molten image.

20 ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ മഹത്വമായവനെ പുല്ലു തിന്നുന്ന കാളയോടു സദ്രശനാക്കി തീൎത്തു.

Thus they exchanged their glory for an image of a bull that eats grass.

21 മിസ്രയീമിൽ വലിയ കാൎയ്യങ്ങളും ഹാമിന്റെ ദേശത്തു അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളും

They forgot God, their Savior, who had done great things in Egypt,

22 ചെങ്കടലിങ്കൽ ഭയങ്കരകാൎയ്യങ്ങളും ചെയ്തവനായി തങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷിതാവായ ദൈവത്തെ അവർ മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.

Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and awesome things by the Red Sea.

23 ആകയാൽ അവരെ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ വൃതനായ മോശെ കോപത്തെ ശമിപ്പിപ്പാൻ അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ പിളൎപ്പിൽ നിന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ അവൻ അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയുമായിരുന്നു.

Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn't destroy them.

24 അവർ മനോഹരദേശത്തെ നിരസിച്ചു; അവന്റെ വചനത്തെ വിശ്വസിച്ചതുമില്ല.

Yes, they despised the pleasant land. They did not believe his word,

25 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിൽവെച്ചു പിറുപിറുത്തു; യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾക്കാതെയിരുന്നു.

but murmured in their tents, and did not listen to the LORD's voice.

26 അതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ: മരുഭൂമിയിൽ അവരെ വീഴിക്കുമെന്നും അവരുടെ സന്തതിയെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽ നശിപ്പിക്കുമെന്നും

Therefore he swore to them that he would overthrow them in the wilderness,

27 അവരെ ദേശങ്ങളിൽ ചിതറിച്ചുകളയുമെന്നും അവൎക്കു വിരോധമായി തന്റെ കൈ ഉയൎത്തി സത്യംചെയ്തു.

and that he would make their offspring fall among the nations, and scatter them in the lands.

28 അനന്തരം അവർ ബാൽപെയോരിനോടു ചേൎന്നു; പ്രേതങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ബലികളെ തിന്നു.

They joined themselves also to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.

29 ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ക്രിയകളാൽ അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; പെട്ടെന്നു ഒരു ബാധ അവൎക്കു തട്ടി.

Thus they provoked him to anger with their deeds. The plague broke in on them.

30 അപ്പോൾ ഫീനെഹാസ് എഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിക്ഷ നടത്തി; ബാധ നിൎത്തലാകയും ചെയ്തു.

Then Phinehas stood up, and executed judgment, so the plague was stopped.

31 അതു എന്നേക്കും തലമുറതലമുറയായി അവന്നു നീതിയായിഎണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

That was credited to him for righteousness, for all generations to come.

32 മെരീബാവെള്ളത്തിങ്കലും അവർ അവനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചു; അവരുടെനിമിത്തം മോശെക്കും ദോഷം ഭവിച്ചു.

They angered him also at the waters of Meribah, so that Moses was troubled for their sakes;

33 അവർ അവന്റെ മനസ്സിനെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു അവൻ അധരങ്ങളാൽ അവിവേകം സംസാരിച്ചുപോയി.

because they were rebellious against his spirit, he spoke rashly with his lips.

34 യഹോവ തങ്ങളോടു നശിപ്പിപ്പാൻ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവർ ജാതികളെ നശിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.

They did not destroy the peoples, as the LORD commanded them,

35 അവർ ജാതികളോടു ഇടകലൎന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ പഠിച്ചു.

but mixed themselves with the nations, and learned their works.

36 അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും സേവിച്ചു; അവ അവൎക്കൊരു കണിയായി തീൎന്നു.

They served their idols, which became a snare to them.

37 തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും അവർ ഭൂതങ്ങൾക്കു ബലികഴിച്ചു.

Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.

38 അവർ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്ത രക്തം, പുത്രീപുത്രന്മാരുടെ രക്തം തന്നേ ചൊരിഞ്ഞു; അവരെ അവർ കനാന്യവിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾക്കു ബലികഴിച്ചു, ദേശം രക്തപാതകംകൊണ്ടു അശുദ്ധമായ്തീൎന്നു.

They shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.

39 ഇങ്ങനെ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ക്രിയകളാൽ മലിനപ്പെട്ടു, തങ്ങളുടെ കൎമ്മങ്ങളാൽ പരസംഗം ചെയ്തു.

Thus were they defiled with their works, and prostituted themselves in their deeds.

40 അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയുടെ കോപം തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ നേരെ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവൻ തന്റെ അവകാശത്തെ വെറുത്തു.

Therefore the LORD burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.

41 അവൻ അവരെ ജാതികളുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിച്ചു; അവരെ പകെച്ചവർ അവരെ ഭരിച്ചു.

He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.

42 അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ അവരെ ഞെരുക്കി; അവർ അവൎക്കു കീഴടങ്ങേണ്ടിവന്നു.

Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.

43 പലപ്പോഴും അവൻ അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ആലോചനയാൽ അവനോടു മത്സരിച്ചു; തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം അധോഗതി പ്രാപിച്ചു.

Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.

44 എന്നാൽ അവരുടെ നിലവിളി കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അവൻ അവരുടെ കഷ്ടതയെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു.

Nevertheless he regarded their distress, when he heard their cry.

45 അവൻ അവൎക്കായി തന്റെ നിയമത്തെ ഓൎത്തു; തന്റെ മഹാദയപ്രകാരം അനുതപിച്ചു.

He remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.

46 അവരെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോയവൎക്കെല്ലാം അവരോടു കനിവു തോന്നുമാറാക്കി.

He made them also to be pitied by all those who carried them captive.

47 ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‌വാനും നിന്റെ സ്തുതിയിൽ പ്രശംസിപ്പാനും ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു ഞങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കേണമേ.

Save us, LORD, our God, gather us from among the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.

48 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; ജനമെല്ലാം ആമേൻ എന്നു പറയട്ടെ. യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പിൻ.

Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. And let all the people say, "Amen." Praise the LORD.
