ഇയ്യോബ് 24
1 സൎവ്വശക്തൻ ശിക്ഷാസമയങ്ങളെ നിയമിക്കാത്തതും അവന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാർ അവന്റെ വിസ്താര ദിവസങ്ങളെ കാണാതിരിക്കുന്നതും എന്തു?
"Why aren't times made known by Shaddai? Why do not those who know him see his days?
2 ചിലർ അതിരുകളെ മാറ്റുന്നു; ചിലർ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തെ കവൎന്നു കൊണ്ടുപോയി മേയ്ക്കുന്നു.
There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them.
3 ചിലർ അനാഥന്മാരുടെ കഴുതയെ കൊണ്ടുപൊയ്ക്കളയുന്നു; ചിലർ വിധവയുടെ കാളയെ പണയംവാങ്ങുന്നു.
They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, and they take the widow's ox for a pledge.
4 ചിലർ സാധുക്കളെ വഴി തെറ്റിക്കുന്നു; ദേശത്തെ എളിയവർ ഒരുപോലെ ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നു.
They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the earth all hide themselves.
5 അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാട്ടുകഴുതകളെപ്പോലെ ഇര തേടി വേലെക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ശൂന്യപ്രദേശം മക്കൾക്കു വേണ്ടി അവൎക്കു ആഹാരം.
Look, as wild donkeys in the desert, they go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food. The wilderness yields them bread for their children.
6 അവർ വയലിൽ അന്യന്റെ പയർ പറിക്കുന്നു; ദുഷ്ടന്റെ മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടത്തിൽ കാലാ പെറുക്കുന്നു.
They cut their provender in the field. They glean the vineyard of the wicked.
7 അവർ വസ്ത്രമില്ലാതെ നഗ്നരായി രാത്രി കഴിച്ചുകൂട്ടുന്നു; കുളിരിൽ അവൎക്കു പുതപ്പും ഇല്ല.
They lie all night naked without clothing, and have no covering in the cold.
8 അവർ മലകളിൽ മഴ നനയുന്നു; മറവിടം ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ അവർ പാറയെ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നു.
They are wet with the showers of the mountains, and embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.
9 ചിലർ മുലകുടിക്കുന്ന അനാഥകുട്ടികളെ അപഹരിക്കുന്നു; ചിലർ ദരിദ്രനോടു പണയം വാങ്ങുന്നു.
There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor,
10 അവർ വസ്ത്രം കൂടാതെ നഗ്നരായി നടക്കുന്നു; പട്ടിണി കിടന്നുകൊണ്ടു കറ്റ ചുമക്കുന്നു.
So that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves.
11 അന്യരുടെ മതിലുകൾക്കകത്തു അവർ ചക്കാട്ടുന്നു; മുന്തിരിച്ചക്കു ചവിട്ടുകയും ദാഹിച്ചിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst.
12 പട്ടണത്തിൽ ആളുകൾ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു; പട്ടുപോയവരുടെ പ്രാണൻ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്നോ അതിൽ നീരസം തോന്നുന്നില്ല.
From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God doesn't regard the folly.
13 ഇവർ വെളിച്ചത്തോടു മത്സരിക്കുന്നു; അതിന്റെ വഴികളെ അറിയുന്നില്ല; അതിന്റെ പാതകളിൽ നടക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
"These are of those who rebel against the light. They do not know its ways, nor abide in its paths.
14 കുലപാതകൻ രാവിലെ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു; ദരിദ്രനെയും എളിയവനെയും കൊല്ലുന്നു; രാത്രിയിൽ കള്ളനായി നടക്കുന്നു.
The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.
15 വ്യഭിചാരിയുടെ കണ്ണു അസ്തമാനം കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ മുഖം മറെച്ചു നടന്നു ഒരു കണ്ണും എന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, 'No eye shall see me.' He disguises his face.
16 ചിലർ ഇരുട്ടത്തു വീടു തുരന്നു കയറുന്നു; പകൽ അവർ വാതിൽ അടെച്ചു പാൎക്കുന്നു; വെളിച്ചത്തു ഇറങ്ങുന്നതുമില്ല.
In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They do not know the light.
17 പ്രഭാതം അവൎക്കൊക്കെയും അന്ധതമസ്സു തന്നേ; അന്ധതമസ്സിന്റെ ഘോരത്വങ്ങൾ അവൎക്കു പരിചയമുണ്ടല്ലോ.
For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.
18 വെള്ളത്തിന്മേൽ അവർ വേഗത്തിൽ പൊയ്പോകുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓഹരി ഭൂമിയിൽ ശപിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളുടെ വഴിക്കു അവർ തിരിയുന്നില്ല.
"They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the earth. They do not turn into the way of the vineyards.
Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned. (Sheol h7585)
20 ഗൎഭപാത്രം അവനെ മറന്നുകളയും; കൃമി അവനെ തിന്നു രസിക്കും; പിന്നെ ആരും അവനെ ഓൎക്കയില്ല; നീതികേടു ഒരു വൃക്ഷംപോലെ തകൎന്നു പോകും.
The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.
21 പ്രസവിക്കാത്ത മച്ചിയെ അവൻ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയുന്നു; വിധവെക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നതുമില്ല.
He devours the barren who do not bear. He shows no kindness to the widow.
22 അവൻ തന്റെ ശക്തിയാൽ നിഷ്കണ്ടകന്മാരെ നിലനില്ക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു; ജീവനെക്കുറിച്ചു നിരാശപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ അവർ എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുന്നു.
Yet he preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.
23 അവൻ അവൎക്കു നിൎഭയവാസം നല്കുന്നു; അവർ ഉറെച്ചുനില്ക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി അവരുടെ വഴികളിന്മേൽ ഉണ്ടു.
He gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.
24 അവർ ഉയൎന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; കുറെകഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടോ അവർ ഇല്ല; അവരെ താഴ്ത്തി മറ്റെല്ലാവരെയുംപോലെ നീക്കിക്കളയുന്നു; കതിരുകളുടെ തലപോലെ അവരെ അറുക്കുന്നു.
They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.
25 ഇങ്ങനെയല്ലെങ്കിൽ എന്നെ കള്ളനാക്കുകയും എന്റെ വാക്കു ഖണ്ഡിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ആർ?
If it isn't so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?"
