ഇയ്യോബ് 20
1 അതിന്നു നയമാത്യനായ സോഫർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
And Zophar the Naamathite answered and said,
2 ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ എന്റെ നിരൂപണങ്ങൾ പൊങ്ങിവരുന്നു. എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ തത്രപ്പാടു ഹേതുവായിട്ടു തന്നേ.
Therefore do my thoughts give me an answer, and for this is my haste within me.
3 എനിക്കു ലജ്ജാകരമായ ശാസന ഞാൻ കേട്ടു; എന്നാൽ ആത്മാവു എന്റെ വിവേകത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നു.
I hear a reproof putting me to shame; and [my] spirit answereth me by mine understanding.
4 മനുഷ്യൻ ഭൂമിയിൽ ഉണ്ടായതുമുതൽ പുരാതനമായ വസ്തുത നീ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?
Knowest thou [not] this, that of old, since man was placed upon earth,
5 ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ ജയഘോഷം താല്ക്കാലികമത്രെ; വഷളന്റെ സന്തോഷം ക്ഷണനേരത്തേക്കേയുള്ളു.
The exultation of the wicked is short, and the joy of the ungodly man but for a moment?
6 അവന്റെ മഹിമ ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയൎന്നാലും അവന്റെ തല മേഘങ്ങളോളം എത്തിയാലും
Though his height mount up to the heavens, and his head reach unto the clouds,
7 അവൻ സ്വന്തമലംപോലെ എന്നേക്കും നശിക്കും; അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ളവർ അവൻ എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിക്കും.
Like his own dung doth he perish for ever; they which have seen him shall say, Where is he?
8 അവൻ സ്വപ്നംപോലെ പറന്നുപോകും. അവനെ പിന്നെ കാണുകയില്ല; അവൻ രാത്രിദൎശനംപോലെ പാറിപ്പോകും.
He flieth away as a dream, and is not found; and is chased away as a vision of the night.
9 അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള കണ്ണു ഇനി അവനെ കാണുകയില്ല; അവന്റെ ഇടം ഇനി അവനെ ദൎശിക്കയുമില്ല.
The eye which saw him shall [see him] not again; and his place beholdeth him no more.
10 അവന്റെ മക്കൾ ദരിദ്രന്മാരോടു കൃപ യാചിക്കും; അവന്റെ കൈ തന്നേ അവന്റെ സമ്പത്തു മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും.
His children shall seek the favour of the poor, and his hands restore his wealth.
11 അവന്റെ അസ്ഥികളിൽ യൌവനം നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവ അവനോടുകൂടെ പൊടിയിൽ കിടക്കും.
His bones were full of his youthful strength; but it shall lie down with him in the dust.
12 ദുഷ്ടത അവന്റെ വായിൽ മധുരിച്ചാലും അവൻ അതു നാവിൻ കീഴെ മറെച്ചുവെച്ചാലും
Though wickedness be sweet in his mouth [and] he hide it under his tongue,
13 അതിനെ വിടാതെ പിടിച്ചു വായ്ക്കകത്തു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുവെച്ചാലും
[Though] he spare it, and forsake it not, but keep it within his mouth,
14 അവന്റെ ആഹാരം അവന്റെ കുടലിൽ പരിണമിച്ചു അവന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ സൎപ്പവിഷമായിത്തീരും.
His food is turned in his bowels; it is the gall of asps within him.
15 അവൻ സമ്പത്തു വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു; അതു വീണ്ടും ഛൎദ്ദിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; ദൈവം അതു അവന്റെ വയറ്റിൽനിന്നു പുറത്താക്കിക്കളയും.
He hath swallowed down riches, but he shall vomit them up again: God shall cast them out of his belly.
16 അവൻ സൎപ്പവിഷം നുകരും; അണലിയുടെ നാവു അവനെ കൊല്ലും.
He shall suck the poison of asps; the viper's tongue shall kill him.
17 തേനും പാൽപാടയും ഒഴുകുന്ന തോടുകളെയും നദികളെയും അവൻ കണ്ടു രസിക്കയില്ല.
He shall not see streams, rivers, brooks of honey and butter.
18 തന്റെ സമ്പാദ്യം അവൻ അനുഭവിക്കാതെ മടക്കിക്കൊടുക്കും; താൻ നേടിയ വസ്തുവകെക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം സന്തോഷിക്കയുമില്ല.
That which he laboured for shall he restore, and not swallow down; its restitution shall be according to the value, and he shall not rejoice [therein].
19 അവൻ ദരിദ്രന്മാരെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ചുപേക്ഷിച്ചു; താൻ പണിയാത്ത വീടു അപഹരിച്ചു.
For he hath oppressed, hath forsaken the poor; he hath violently taken away a house that he did not build.
20 അവന്റെ കൊതിക്കു പതംവരായ്കയാൽ അവൻ തന്റെ മനോഹരധനത്തോടുകൂടെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയില്ല.
Because he knew no rest in his craving, he shall save nought of what he most desired.
21 അവൻ തിന്നുകളയാതെ ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കയില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധി നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല.
Nothing escaped his greediness; therefore his prosperity shall not endure.
22 അവന്റെ സമൃദ്ധിയുടെ പൂൎണ്ണതയിൽ അവന്നു ഞെരുക്കം ഉണ്ടാകും; അരിഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൈ ഒക്കെയും അവന്റെമേൽ വരും.
In the fulness of his sufficiency he shall be in straits; every hand of the wretched shall come upon him.
23 അവൻ വയറു നിറെക്കുമ്പോൾ തന്നേ ദൈവം തന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപം അവന്റെ മേൽ അയക്കും; അവൻ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ അതു അവന്റെ മേൽ വൎഷിപ്പിക്കും.
It shall be that, to fill his belly, he will cast his fierce anger upon him, and will rain it upon him into his flesh.
24 അവൻ ഇരിമ്പായുധം ഒഴിഞ്ഞോടും; താമ്രചാപം അവനിൽ അസ്ത്രം തറെപ്പിക്കും.
If he have fled from the iron weapon, the bow of brass shall strike him through.
25 അവൻ പറിച്ചിട്ടു അതു അവന്റെ ദേഹത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറത്തുവരുന്നു; മിന്നുന്ന മുന അവന്റെ പിത്തത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ഘോരത്വങ്ങൾ അവന്റെമേൽ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
He draweth it forth; it cometh out of his body, and the glittering point out of his gall: terrors are upon him.
26 അന്ധകാരമൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ നിക്ഷേപമായി സംഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരും ഊതാത്ത തീക്കു അവൻ ഇരയാകും; അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതിനെ അതു ദഹിപ്പിക്കും;
All darkness is laid up for his treasures: a fire not blown shall devour him; it shall feed upon what is left in his tent.
27 ആകാശം അവന്റെ അകൃത്യത്തെ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും ഭൂമി അവനോടു എതിൎത്തുനില്ക്കും.
The heavens shall reveal his iniquity, and the earth shall rise up against him.
28 അവന്റെ വീട്ടിലെ വരവു പോയ്പോകും; അവന്റെ കോപത്തിന്റെ ദിവസത്തിൽ അതു ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും.
The increase of his house shall depart, flowing away in the day of his anger.
29 ഇതു ദുഷ്ടന്നു ദൈവം കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഓഹരിയും ദൈവം അവന്നു നിയമിച്ച അവകാശവും ആകുന്നു.
This is the portion of the wicked man from God, and the heritage appointed to him by God.
