യിരെമ്യാവു 32

1 യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ പത്താം ആണ്ടിൽ, നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ പതിനെട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ തന്നേ, യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു.

The word which came to Jeremiah from Jehovah in the tenth year of Zedekiah, the king of Judah, which was the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar.

2 അന്നു ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ സൈന്യം യെരൂശലേമിനെ നിരോധിച്ചിരുന്നു; യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകനോ യെഹൂദാരാജാവിന്റെ അരമനയുടെ കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു അടെക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

And at that time the army of the king of Babylon was laying siege to Jerusalem, and Jeremiah the prophet was shut up in the court of the prison, which was in the house of the king of Judah.

3 ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കും; അവൻ അതിനെ പിടിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും

For Zedekiah, the king of Judah, had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, “Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am about to give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it;

4 യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു ഒഴിഞ്ഞുപോകാതെ, ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവൻ ഇവനുമായി വായോടുവായ് സംസാരിക്കയും കണ്ണോടുകണ്ണു കാണുകയും ചെയ്യും;

and Zedekiah, the king of Judah, shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldaeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes;

5 അവൻ സിദെക്കീയാവെ ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോകും; ഞാൻ അവനെ സന്ദൎശിക്കുംവരെ അവൻ അവിടെ ഇരിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ കല്ദയരോടു യുദ്ധംചെയ്താലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു സാദ്ധ്യം ഉണ്ടാകയില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നും നീ പ്രവചിപ്പാൻ എന്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവു അവനെ അവിടെ അടെച്ചിരുന്നു.

and he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith Jehovah; though ye fight with the Chaldaeans, ye shall not prosper?”

6 യിരെമ്യാവു പറഞ്ഞതു: യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എനിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Then said Jeremiah, The word of Jehovah came to me, and said:

7 നിന്റെ ഇളയപ്പനായ ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മകൻ ഹനമെയേൽ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: അനാഥോത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിച്ചുകൊൾക; അതു മേടിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം വീണ്ടെടുപ്പിന്റെ അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ എന്നു പറയും.

Behold, Hanameel, the son of Shallum, thine uncle, will come to thee, and say, Buy thee my field which is in Anathoth, for thine is the redemption-right to buy it.

8 യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകൻ ഹനമെയേൽ കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു: ബെന്യാമീൻദേശത്തു അനാഥോത്തിലെ എന്റെ നിലം മേടിക്കേണമേ; അവകാശം നിനക്കുള്ളതല്ലോ, വീണ്ടെടുപ്പും നിനക്കുള്ളതു; നീ അതു മേടിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം എന്നു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അതു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നു ഞാൻ ഗ്രഹിച്ചു.

And so Hanameel, the son of my uncle, came to me in the court of the prison according to the word of Jehovah, and said to me: Buy, I pray thee, my field, which is in Anathoth, for thine is the right of inheritance and redemption; buy it for thyself! Then I knew that this was the word of Jehovah.

9 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകൻ ഹനമെയേലിനോടു അനാഥോത്തിലെ നിലം മേടിച്ചു, വില പതിനേഴു ശേക്കെൽ വെള്ളി തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

I bought, therefore, the field of Hanameel, my uncle's son, in Anathoth, and I paid him the money, seventeen shekels of silver.

10 ആധാരം എഴുതി മുദ്രയിട്ടു സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു ഒപ്പിടുവിച്ച ശേഷം ഞാൻ പണം അവന്നു തുലാസിൽ തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.

And I wrote a deed, and sealed it, and took witnesses thereto, and weighed the silver in the balances.

11 ഇങ്ങനെ ന്യായവും പതിവും അനുസരിച്ചു മുദ്രയിട്ടിരുന്നതും തുറന്നിരുന്നതുമായ ആധാരങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ വാങ്ങി,

And I took the purchase-deed, that which was sealed according to the law and the statutes, and that which was open,

12 ഇളയപ്പന്റെ മകനായ ഹനമെയേലും ആധാരത്തിൽ ഒപ്പിട്ടിരുന്ന സാക്ഷികളും കാവല്പുരമുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നിരുന്ന യെഹൂദന്മാരൊക്കെയും കാൺകെ ആധാരം മഹസേയാവിന്റെ മകനായ നേൎയ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കൽ കൊടുത്തു.

and I gave the purchase-deed to Baruch, the son of Neriah, the son of Maaseiah, in the presence of Hanameel, my uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses, who subscribed their names to the purchase-deed, and in the presence of all the Jews who sat in the court of the prison.

13 അവർ കേൾക്കെ ഞാൻ ബാരൂക്കിനോടു കല്പിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

And I charged Baruch in their presence, saying,

14 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: മുദ്രയിട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതും തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഈ ആധാരങ്ങളെ മേടിച്ചു അവ ഏറിയകാലം നില്പാന്തക്കവണ്ണം ഒരു മൺപാത്രത്തിൽ വെക്കുക.

Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Take these writings, this sealed purchase-deed, and this open deed, and put them into an earthen vessel, that they may endure a great length of time.

15 ഇനിയും ഈ ദേശത്തു വീടുകളും നിലങ്ങളും മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളും ക്രയവിക്രയം ചെയ്യും എന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

For thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Yet again shall houses and fields and vineyards be bought in this land.

16 അങ്ങനെ ആധാരം നേൎയ്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ ബാരൂക്കിന്റെ പക്കൽ ഏല്പിച്ചശേഷം, ഞാൻ യഹോവയോടു പ്രാൎത്ഥിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

And when I had delivered the purchase-deed to Baruch, the son of Neriah, I prayed to Jehovah, saying,

17 അയ്യോ, യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവേ, നിന്റെ മഹാശക്തികൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജം കൊണ്ടും നീ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഉണ്ടാക്കി; നിനക്കു അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ഒന്നുമില്ല.

Ah, Lord, Jehovah! Behold, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power and thy stretched-out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

18 നീ ആയിരം തലമുറയോളം ദയകാണിക്കയും പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നു അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കളുടെ മാൎവ്വിടത്തിൽ പകരം കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; മഹത്വവും വല്ലഭത്വവുമുള്ള ദൈവമേ, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്നല്ലോ നിന്റെ നാമം.

Thou showest kindness to a thousand generations, and recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of the children who come after them. The great, the mighty God, Jehovah of hosts is his name,

19 നീ ആലോചനയിൽ വലിയവനും പ്രവൃത്തിയിൽ ശക്തിമാനും ആകുന്നു; ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നും പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ഫലത്തിന്നും തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ മനുഷ്യരുടെ എല്ലാവഴികളിന്മേലും ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുന്നു.

great in counsel and mighty in work; for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men, to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings;

20 നീ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തും ഇന്നുവരെയും യിസ്രായേലിലും മറ്റു മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഇടയിലും അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചു ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ നിനക്കു ഒരു നാമം സമ്പാദിക്കുകയും

who hast displayed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt even to this day, and in Israel, and among other men, and hast made thee a name, as at this day;

21 നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ അടയാളങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടും അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടും ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടും നീട്ടിയ ഭുജംകൊണ്ടും മഹാഭീതികൊണ്ടും മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവരികയും

and hast brought forth thy people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with a stretched-out arm, and with great terror,

22 അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാൎക്കു കൊടുപ്പാൻ നീ അവരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്തതായി പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ഈ ദേശത്തെ അവൎക്കു കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

and hast given them this land, which thou didst swear to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey;

23 അവർ അതിൽ കടന്നു അതിനെ കൈവശമാക്കി; എങ്കിലും അവർ നിന്റെ വാക്കു അനുസരിക്കയോ നിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണംപോലെ നടക്കയോ ചെയ്തില്ല; ചെയ്‌വാൻ നീ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതൊന്നും അവർ ചെയ്തില്ല; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ അനൎത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും നീ അവൎക്കു വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

and they have come in and possessed it; but they have not obeyed thy voice, nor walked according to thy law. They have done nothing of all which thou commandedst them to do. Therefore hast thou caused all this evil to come upon them.

24 ഇതാ, വാടകൾ! നഗരത്തെ പിടിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു! വാളും ക്ഷാമവും മഹാമാരിയും ഹേതുവായി ഈ നഗരം അതിന്നു നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അരുളിചെയ്തതു സംഭവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ അതു കാണുന്നുവല്ലോ.

Behold, the mounds of the enemy have already come up against the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldaeans, who fight against it by means of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence; and what thou hast spoken is come to pass, and, behold, thou seest it.

25 യഹോവയായ കൎത്താവേ, നഗരം കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കെ, നിലം വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചു അതിന്നു സാക്ഷികളെ വെക്കുവാൻ നീ എന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.

And yet hast thou said to me, O Lord Jehovah, “Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses thereto!” when the city is given into the hand of the Chaldaeans.

26 അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

Then came the word of Jehovah to Jeremiah, saying:

27 ഞാൻ സകലജഡത്തിന്റെയും ദൈവമായ യഹോവയാകുന്നു; എനിക്കു കഴിയാത്ത വല്ല കാൎയ്യവും ഉണ്ടോ?

Behold, I, Jehovah, am the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?

28 അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിലും ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ കയ്യിലും ഏല്പിക്കും; അവൻ അതിനെ പിടിക്കും.

Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldaeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, and he shall take it.

29 ഈ നഗരത്തിന്റെ നേരെ യുദ്ധം ചെയ്യുന്ന കല്ദയർ കടന്നു നഗരത്തിന്നു തീ വെച്ചു അതിനെ, എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു മേല്പുരകളിൽവെച്ചു ബാലിന്നു ധൂപംകാട്ടി അന്യദേവന്മാൎക്കു പാനീയബലി പകൎന്നിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളോടുകൂടെ ചുട്ടുകളയും.

And the Chaldaeans who fight against this city shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses upon whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out incense to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

30 യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും ബാല്യംമുതൽ എനിക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായുള്ളതു മാത്രം ചെയ്തുവന്നു; യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിച്ചതേയുള്ളു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done nothing but evil before me from their youth; yea, the children of Israel have but provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith Jehovah.

31 അവർ ഈ നഗരത്തെ പണിത നാൾമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെയും ഞാൻ അതിനെ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയത്തക്കവണ്ണം അതു എനിക്കു കോപവും ക്രോധവും വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

For this city hath been the object of my anger and my fury, from the day when they built it even to this day; that I might remove it from before my face,

32 എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളും യെഹൂദാമക്കളും അവരുടെ രാജാക്കന്മാരും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും പുരോഹിതന്മാരും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും യെഹൂദാപുരുഷന്മാരും യെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളും ചെയ്ത സകലദോഷവുംനിമിത്തം തന്നേ.

because of all the wickedness of the children of Israel, and of the children of Judah, which they have committed to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

33 അവർ മുഖമല്ല, പുറമത്രേ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതു; ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു പഠിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടും ഉപദേശം കൈക്കൊൾവാൻ അവർ മനസ്സുവെച്ചില്ല.

For they have turned to me the back, and not the face; though I have taught them, rising up early and teaching them, yet have they not hearkened to receive instruction.

34 എന്റെ നാമം വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ആലയത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുവാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവർ അതിൽ മ്ലേച്ഛവിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

And they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

35 മോലെക്കിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും പുത്രിമാരെയും ദഹിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവർ ബെൻഹിന്നോംതാഴ്വരയിൽ ബാലിന്റെ പൂജാഗിരികളെ പണിതു; ഈ മ്ലേച്ഛതകളെ പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചു യെഹൂദയെക്കൊണ്ടു പാപം ചെയ്യിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ അതു തോന്നീട്ടുമില്ല.

And they have built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Moloch, which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should practise their abomination, to cause Judah to sin.

36 ഇപ്പോൾ, വാൾ, ക്ഷാമം, മഹാമാരി എന്നിവയാൽ ബാബേൽരാജാവിന്റെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്ന ഈ നഗരത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:

Yet now thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel concerning this city, of which ye say, “It is delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.”

37 എന്റെ കോപത്തിലും ക്രോധത്തിലും മഹാരോഷത്തിലും ഞാൻ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ സകലദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ഞാൻ അവരെ ശേഖരിക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരെ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തി അതിൽ നിൎഭയമായി വസിക്കുമാറാക്കും.

Behold, I will gather them out of all the countries whither I have driven them in my anger and my fury and my great wrath, and I will bring them back to this place, and I will cause them to dwell securely,

38 അവർ എനിക്കു ജനമായും ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു ദൈവമായും ഇരിക്കും.

and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

39 അവൎക്കും അവരുടെ ശേഷം അവരുടെ മക്കൾക്കും ഗുണംവരത്തക്കവണ്ണം അവർ എന്നെ എന്നേക്കും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു ഏകമനസ്സും ഏകമാൎഗ്ഗവും കൊടുക്കും.

And I will give them one heart, and one way, to fear me continually, that it may be well with them, and with their children after them.

40 ഞാൻ അവരെ വിട്ടുപിരിയാതെ അവൎക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ അവരോടു ഒരു ശാശ്വതനിയമം ചെയ്യും; അവർ എന്നെ വിട്ടുമാറാതെയിരിപ്പാൻ എങ്കലുള്ള ഭക്തി ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ആക്കും.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, nor cease to do them good; for I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.

41 ഞാൻ അവരിൽ സന്തോഷിച്ചു അവൎക്കു ഗുണം ചെയ്യും. ഞാൻ പൂൎണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂൎണ്ണമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ അവരെ ഈ ദേശത്തു നടും.

Yea, I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will plant them in this land in truth, with my whole heart, and with my whole soul.

42 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു ഈ വലിയ അനൎത്ഥമൊക്കെയും വരുത്തിയതുപോലെ തന്നേ ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു വാഗ്ദത്തം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാനന്മയും അവൎക്കു വരുത്തും.

For thus saith Jehovah: As I have brought upon this people all this great evil, so will I bring upon them all the good which I have promised them.

43 മനുഷ്യനും മൃഗവും ഇല്ലാതെ ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു, കല്ദയരുടെ കയ്യിൽ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്ന ഈ ദേശത്തു അവർ നിലങ്ങളെ വിലെക്കു മേടിക്കും.

And fields shall yet be bought in this land, of which ye say, “It is desolate, without man or beast; it is given into the hand of the Chaldaeans.”

44 ഞാൻ അവരുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ബെന്യാമീൻദേശത്തും യെരൂശലേമിന്നു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളിലും മലനാട്ടിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും താഴ്വീതിയിലെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും തെക്കെ പട്ടണങ്ങളിലും ആളുകൾ നിലങ്ങളെ വിലെക്കു മേടിച്ചു ആധാരങ്ങൾ എഴുതി മുദ്രയിട്ടു സാക്ഷികളെയും വെക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Fields shall men buy for money, and subscribe deeds, and seal them, and take witnesses, in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the hill-country, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south; for I will bring them back from their captivity, saith Jehovah.
