യിരെമ്യാവു 25
1 യോശീയാവിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ നാലാം ആണ്ടിൽ - ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ ഒന്നാം ആണ്ടു തന്നേ - സകല യെഹൂദാജനത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു യിരെമ്യാവിന്നുണ്ടായ അരുളപ്പാടു.
The word that hath been unto Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, — it [is] the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, —
2 യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകൻ അതു സകല യെഹൂദാജനത്തോടും സകലയെരൂശലേംനിവാസികളോടും പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നാൽ:
Which Jeremiah the prophet hath spoken concerning all the people of Judah, even unto all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:
3 ആമോന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യോശീയാവിന്റെ പതിമൂന്നാം ആണ്ടുമുതൽ ഇന്നുവരെ ഈ ഇരുപത്തുമൂന്നു സംവത്സരം യഹോവയുടെ വചനം എനിക്കുണ്ടാകയും ഞാൻ ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളോടു സംസാരിക്കയും ചെയ്തിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടില്ല.
'From the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah, and unto this day — this three and twentieth year — hath the word of Jehovah been unto me, and I speak unto you, rising early and speaking, and ye have not hearkened;
4 യഹോവ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായ തന്റെ സകല ദാസന്മാരെയും ഇടവിടാതെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ കേട്ടില്ല; കേൾക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം നിങ്ങളുടെ ചെവി ചായിച്ചതുമില്ല.
And Jehovah hath sent unto you all His servants, the prophets, rising early and sending, and ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear, saying:
5 നിങ്ങൾ ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ ദുൎമ്മാൎഗ്ഗവും ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തികളും വിട്ടുതിരിവിൻ; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാൎക്കും തന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങൾ എന്നും എന്നേക്കും പാൎക്കും.
'Turn back, I pray you, each from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell on the ground that Jehovah hath given to you and to your fathers from age unto age,
6 അന്യദേവന്മാരെ സേവിച്ചു നമസ്കരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവരോടു ചേരരുതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിക്കയും അരുതു; എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു അനൎത്ഥം വരുത്തുകയില്ല എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
And ye do not go after other gods to serve them, and to bow yourselves to them, nor do ye provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, and I do no evil to you;
7 എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ അനൎത്ഥത്തിന്നായി നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കോപിപ്പിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം എന്റെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കാതിരുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
And ye have not hearkened unto Me — an affirmation of Jehovah — so as to provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands for evil to you.
8 അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കായ്കകൊണ്ടു
'Therefore thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Because that ye have not obeyed My words,
9 ഞാൻ ആളയച്ചു വടക്കുള്ള സകലവംശങ്ങളെയും എന്റെ ദാസനായി ബാബേൽരാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിനെയും ഈ ദേശത്തിന്റെ നേരെയും അതിലെ നിവാസികളുടെ നേരെയും ചുറ്റും വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ സകലജാതികളുടെ നേരെയും വരുത്തി അവരെ ഉന്മൂലനാശം ചെയ്തു സ്തംഭനഹേതുവും പരിഹാസവിഷയവും ശാശ്വതശൂന്യവുമാക്കിത്തിൎക്കും.
Lo, I am sending, and have taken all the families of the north — an affirmation of Jehovah — even unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and have brought them in against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations round about, and have devoted them, and appointed them for an astonishment, and for a hissing, and for wastes age-during.
10 ഞാൻ ആനന്ദഘോഷവും സന്തോഷധ്വനിയും മണവാളന്റെ സ്വരവും മണവാട്ടിയുടെ സ്വരവും തിരികല്ലിന്റെ ഒച്ചയും വിളക്കിന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും.
And I have destroyed from them the voice of rejoicing, and the voice of joy, voice of bridegroom and voice of bride, noise of millstones, and the light of lamps.
11 ഈ ദേശമൊക്കെയും ശൂന്യവും സ്തംഭനഹേതുവും ആകും; ഈ ജാതികൾ ബാബേൽരാജാവിനെ എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം സേവിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
And all this land hath been for a waste, for an astonishment, and these nations have served the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 എഴുപതു സംവത്സരം തികയുമ്പോൾ, ഞാൻ ബാബേൽരാജാവിനെയും ആ ജാതിയെയും കല്ദയരുടെ ദേശത്തെയും അവരുടെ അകൃത്യംനിമിത്തം സന്ദൎശിച്ചു അതിനെ ശാശ്വതശൂന്യമാക്കിത്തീൎക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
'And it hath come to pass, at the fulness of seventy years, I charge against the king of Babylon, and against that nation — an affirmation of Jehovah — their iniquity, and against the land of the Chaldeans, and have appointed it for desolations age-during.
13 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ആ ദേശത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന സകല വചനങ്ങളെയും യിരെമ്യാവു സകലജാതികളെയും കുറിച്ചു പ്രവചിച്ചതും ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുമായ സകലത്തെയും ഞാൻ അതിന്നു വരുത്തും.
And I have brought in on that land all My words that I have spoken against it, all that is written in this book, that Jeremiah hath prophesied concerning all the nations.
14 അനേകം ജാതികളും വലിയ രാജാക്കന്മാരും അവരെക്കൊണ്ടു സേവചെയ്യിക്കും. ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ക്രിയകൾക്കും അവരുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും തക്കവണ്ണം അവൎക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യും.
For laid service on them — also them — have many nations and great kings, and I have given recompence to them according to their doing, and according to the work of their hands.
15 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ എന്നോടു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: ഈ ക്രോധമദ്ധ്യം നിറഞ്ഞ പാനപാത്രം എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അയക്കുന്ന ജാതികളെ ഒക്കെയും കുടിപ്പിക്ക.
'For thus said Jehovah God of Israel unto me, Take the wine cup of this fury out of My hand, and thou hast caused all the nations to drink it unto whom I am sending thee;
16 അവർ കുടിച്ചു ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ അയക്കുന്ന വാൾനിമിത്തം ചാഞ്ചാടി ഭ്രാന്തന്മാരായിത്തീരും.
And they have drunk, and shaken themselves and shewn themselves foolish, because of the sword that I am sending among them.
17 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ പാനപാത്രം യഹോവയുടെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി, യഹോവ എന്നെ അയച്ച സകലജാതികളെയും കുടിപ്പിച്ചു.
'And I take the cup out of the hand of Jehovah, and cause all the nations to drink unto whom Jehovah sent me:
18 ഇന്നുള്ളതുപോലെ ശൂന്യവും സ്തംഭനഹേതുവും പരിഹാസവിഷയവും ശാപവാക്യവുമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിനെയും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങളെയും രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും
Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, And its kings, its heads, To give them to waste, to astonishment, To hissing, and to reviling, as [at] this day.
19 പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും മിസ്രയീംരാജാവായ ഫറവോനെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരെയും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെയും
Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, And his heads, and all his people,
20 സകലപ്രജകളെയും സൎവ്വസമ്മിശ്രജാതിയെയും ഊസ് ദേശത്തിലെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശത്തിലെ സകലരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും അസ്കലോനെയും ഗസ്സയെയും എക്രോനെയും അസ്തോദിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവരെയും
And all the mixed people, And all the kings of the land of Uz, And all the kings of the land of the Philistines, And Ashkelon, and Gazzah, and Ekron, And the remnant of Ashdod,
21 ഏദോമിനെയും മോവാബിനെയും അമ്മോന്യരെയും സകല സോർ രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും
Edom, and Moab, and the sons of Ammon,
22 സകല സീദോന്യരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും സമുദ്രത്തിന്നക്കരെയുള്ള ദ്വീപുകളിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും
And all the kings of Tyre, And all the kings of Zidon, And the kings of the isle that [is] beyond the sea,
23 ദേദാനെയും തേമയെയും ബൂസിനെയും തലയുടെ അരികു വടിച്ചവരെ ഒക്കെയും എല്ലാ അരാബ്യരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും
Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, And all cutting the corners [of the beard],
24 മരുവാസികളായ സമ്മിശ്രജാതിയുടെ സകല രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും
And all the kings of Arabia, And all the kings of the mixed people, Who are dwelling in the wilderness,
25 സകല സിമ്രിരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും ഏലാമിലെ സകല രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും മേദ്യരുടെ സകല രാജാക്കന്മാരെയും തമ്മിൽ അടുത്തും അകന്നും ഇരിക്കുന്ന
And all the kings of Zimri, And all the kings of Elam, And all the kings of Media,
26 എല്ലാവടക്കെരാജാക്കന്മാരെയും ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലലോകരാജ്യങ്ങളെയും തന്നേ; ശേശക്ക് രാജാവോ അവരുടെ ശേഷം കുടിക്കേണം.
And all the kings of the north, The near and the far off, one unto another, And all the kingdoms of the earth, That [are] on the face of the ground, And king Sheshach drinketh after them.
27 നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ കുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചു ഛൎദ്ദിച്ചു, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ അയക്കുന്ന വാളുകൊണ്ടു ഇനി എഴുന്നേല്ക്കാതവണ്ണം വീഴുവിൻ.
And thou hast said unto them: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts God of Israel, Drink ye, yea drink abundantly, And vomit, and fall, and rise not, Because of the sword that I am sending among you.
28 എന്നാൽ പാനപാത്രം നിന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വാങ്ങി കുടിപ്പാൻ അവൎക്കു മനസ്സില്ലാഞ്ഞാൽ നീ അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:
And it hath come to pass, When they refuse to receive the cup out of thy hand to drink, That thou hast said unto them: Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, Ye do certainly drink.
29 നിങ്ങൾ കുടിച്ചേ മതിയാവു. എന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന നഗരത്തിന്നു ഞാൻ അനൎത്ഥം വരുത്തുവാൻ തുടങ്ങുന്നു; പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ കേവലം ശിക്ഷകൂടാതെ പോകുമോ? ശിക്ഷകൂടാതെ പോകയില്ല; ഞാൻ സകല ഭൂവാസികളുടെയുംമേൽ വാളിനെ വിളിച്ചുവരുത്തും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
For lo, in the city over which My name is called, I am beginning to do evil, And ye — ye are entirely acquitted! Ye are not acquitted, for a sword I am proclaiming, For all inhabitants of the land, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts.
30 ആകയാൽ നീ ഈ വചനങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും അവരോടു പ്രവചിച്ചു പറക: യഹോവ ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നു ഗൎജ്ജിച്ചു, തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനിവാസത്തിൽനിന്നു നാദം പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ തന്റെ മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെ നോക്കി ഉറക്കെ ഗൎജ്ജിക്കുന്നു; മുന്തിരിച്ചക്കു ചവിട്ടുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ അവൻ സകലഭൂവാസികൾക്കും നേരെ ആൎപ്പുവിളിക്കുന്നു.
And thou, thou dost prophesy unto them all these words, and hast said unto them: Jehovah from the high place doth roar, And from His holy habitation giveth forth His voice, He surely roareth for His habitation, A shout as of treaders down, God answereth all the inhabitants of the land,
31 ആരവം ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തോളം എത്തുന്നു; യഹോവെക്കു ജാതികളോടു ഒരു വ്യവഹാരം ഉണ്ടു; അവൻ സകലജഡത്തോടും വ്യവഹരിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെ വാളിന്നു ഏല്പിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
Wasting hath come unto the end of the earth, For a controversy hath Jehovah with nations, He hath executed judgment for all flesh, The wicked! He hath given them to the sword, An affirmation of Jehovah.
32 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അനൎത്ഥം ജാതിയിൽനിന്നു ജാതിയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെടുന്നു; ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നു വലിയ കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു ഇളകിവരും.
Thus said Jehovah of Hosts: Lo, evil is going out from nation to nation, And a great whirlwind is stirred up from the sides of the earth.
33 അന്നാളിൽ യഹോവയുടെ നിഹതന്മാർ ഭൂമിയുടെ ഒരറ്റം മുതൽ മറ്റെ അറ്റംവരെ വീണു കിടക്കും; അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു ആരും വിലപിക്കയില്ല; അവരെ എടുത്തു കുഴിച്ചിടുകയില്ല; അവർ നിലത്തിന്നു വളമായിത്തീരും.
And the pierced of Jehovah have been in that day, From the end of the earth even unto the end of the earth, They are not lamented, nor gathered, nor buried, For dung on the face of the ground they are.
34 ഇടയന്മാരെ, മുറയിട്ടു നിലവിളിപ്പിൻ! ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാരേ, വെണ്ണീരിൽ കിടന്നുരുളുവിൻ; നിങ്ങളെ അറുപ്പാനുള്ള കാലം തികെഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഉടെച്ചുകളയും; നിങ്ങൾ മനോഹരമായോരു പാത്രംപോലെ വീഴും;
Howl, ye shepherds, and cry, And roll yourselves, ye honourable of the flock, For full have been your days, For slaughtering, and [for] your scatterings, And ye have fallen as a desirable vessel.
35 ഇടയന്മാൎക്കു ശരണവും ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാൎക്കു ഉദ്ധാരണവും ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.
And perished hath refuge from the shepherds, And escape from the honourable of the flock.
36 യഹോവ മേച്ചല്പുറത്തെ പാഴാക്കിക്കളയുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഇടയന്മാർ നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതും ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠന്മാർ മുറയിടുന്നതും കേൾപ്പാറാകും.
A voice [is] of the cry of the shepherds, And a howling of the honourable of the flock, For Jehovah is spoiling their pasture.
37 സമാധാനമുള്ള മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ ഉഗ്രകോപംനിമിത്തം നശിച്ചുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.
And the peaceable habitations have been cut down, Because of the fierceness of the anger of Jehovah.
38 അവൻ ഒരു ബാലസിംഹം എന്നപോലെ തന്റെ മുറ്റുകാടു വിട്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വാൾകൊണ്ടും, അവന്റെ ഉഗ്രകോപംകൊണ്ടും അവരുടെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
He hath forsaken, as a young lion, His covert, Surely their land hath become a desolation, Because of the oppressing fierceness, And because of the fierceness of His anger!
