യിരെമ്യാവു 23

1 എന്റെ മേച്ചൽപുറത്തെ ആടുകളെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും ചിതറിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഇടയന്മാൎക്കു അയ്യോ കഷ്ടം എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Woe be to the pastors that destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture! saith the LORD.

2 അതുകൊണ്ടു, തന്റെ ജനത്തെ മേയിക്കുന്ന ഇടയന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തെ സൂക്ഷിക്കാതെ അവയെ ചിതറിച്ചു ഓടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇതാ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings, saith the LORD.

3 എന്റെ ആട്ടിൻ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവയെ ഞാൻ അവയെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും ശേഖരിച്ചു അവയുടെ പുല്പുറങ്ങളിലേക്കു വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവരും; അവ വൎദ്ധിച്ചു പെരുകും.

And I will gather the remnant of my flock from all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

4 അവയെ മേയിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ ഇടയന്മാരെ നിയമിക്കും; അവ ഇനി പേടിക്കയില്ല, ഭ്രമിക്കയില്ല, കാണാതെപോകയുമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

And I will set shepherds over them who shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

5 ഞാൻ ദാവീദിന്നു നീതിയുള്ളോരു മുളയായവനെ ഉത്ഭവിപ്പിക്കുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവൻ രാജാവായി വാണു ബുദ്ധിയോടെ പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചു ദേശത്തു നീതിയും ന്യായവും നടത്തും.

Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice upon the earth.

6 അവന്റെ കാലത്തു യെഹൂദാ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും; യിസ്രായേൽ നിൎഭയമായി വസിക്കും; അവന്നു യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ നീതി എന്നു പേർ പറയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell in safety: and this [is] his name by which he shall be called, JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

7 ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു ഇനി പറയാതെ,

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that they shall no more say, The LORD liveth, who brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

8 യിസ്രായേൽഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ വടക്കുദേശത്തുനിന്നും ഞാൻ അവരെ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരുന്ന സകലദേശങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയാണ എന്നു പറയുന്ന കാലം വരും; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തദേശത്തു വസിക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

But, the LORD liveth, who brought and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I have driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

9 പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അരുളപ്പാടു: എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെ ഉള്ളിൽ നുറുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അസ്ഥികൾ ഒക്കെയും ഇളകുന്നു; യഹോവ നിമിത്തവും അവന്റെ വിശുദ്ധവചനങ്ങൾനിമിത്തവും ഞാൻ, മത്തനായിരിക്കുന്നവനെപ്പോലെയും വീഞ്ഞു കുടിച്ചു ലഹരിപിടിച്ചവനെപ്പോലെയും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.

My heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the LORD, and because of the words of his holiness.

10 ദേശം വ്യഭിചാരികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; ശാപംനിമിത്തം ദേശം ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നു; മരുഭൂമിയിലെ മേച്ചല്പുറങ്ങൾ ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഓട്ടം ദോഷമുള്ളതും അവരുടെ ബലം നേരുകെട്ടതും ആകുന്നു.

For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force [is] not right.

11 പ്രവാചകനും പുരോഹിതനും ഒരുപോലെ വഷളന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ആലയത്തിലും ഞാൻ അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

For both prophet and priest are profane; even in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.

12 അതുകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ വഴി അവൎക്കു ഇരുട്ടത്തു വഴുവഴുപ്പു ആയിരിക്കും; അവർ അതിൽ കാൽ തെറ്റി വീഴും; ഞാൻ അവൎക്കു അനൎത്ഥം, അവരുടെ സന്ദൎശനകാലം തന്നേ, വരുത്തും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Wherefore their way shall be to them as slippery [ways] in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, [even] the year of their visitation, saith the LORD.

13 ശമൎയ്യയിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽ ഞാൻ ഭോഷത്വം കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ബാലിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രവചിച്ചു എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err.

14 യെരൂശലേമിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിലോ ഞാൻ അതിഭയങ്കരമായുള്ളതു കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്തു വ്യാജത്തിൽ നടക്കുന്നു; ആരും തന്റെ ദുഷ്ടത വിട്ടുതിരിയാതവണ്ണം അവർ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരെ ധൈൎയ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; അവരെല്ലാവരും എനിക്കു സൊദോംപോലെയും, അതിലെ നിവാസികൾ ഗൊമോറപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem a horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evil-doers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them to me as Sodom, and the inhabitants of it as Gomorrah.

15 അതുകൊണ്ടു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെക്കുറിച്ചു ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഞാൻ അവരെ കാഞ്ഞിരം തീറ്റി നഞ്ചുവെള്ളം കുടിപ്പിക്കും; യെരൂശലേമിലെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരിൽനിന്നല്ലോ വഷളത്വം ദേശത്തെല്ലാടവും പരന്നിരിക്കുന്നതു.

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land.

16 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കരുതു; അവർ നിങ്ങളെ വ്യാജം ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ വായിൽനിന്നുള്ളതല്ല സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ ദൎശനമത്രേ അവർ പ്രവചിക്കുന്നതു.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not to the words of the prophets that prophesy to you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, [and] not from the mouth of the LORD.

17 എന്നെ നിരസിക്കുന്നവരോടു അവർ: നിങ്ങൾക്കു സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ശാഠ്യപ്രകാരം നടക്കുന്നവരോടൊക്കെയും: നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഒരു ദോഷവും വരികയില്ല എന്നും പറയുന്നു.

They say still to them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say to every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

18 യഹോവയുടെ വചനം ദൎശിച്ചുകേൾപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയിൽ നിന്നവൻ ആർ? അവന്റെ വചനം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നവൻ ആർ?

For who hath stood in the counsel of the LORD, and hath perceived and heard his word? who hath marked his word, and heard [it]?

19 യഹോവയുടെ ക്രോധം എന്ന കൊടുങ്കാറ്റു, വലിയ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റുതന്നേ, പുറപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അതു ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ തലമേൽ ചുറ്റിയടിക്കും.

Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

20 തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിലെ ഉദ്ദേശങ്ങളെ നടത്തിത്തീരുവോളം യഹോവയുടെ കോപം മാറുകയില്ല; ഭാവികാലത്തു നിങ്ങൾ അതിനെ പൂൎണ്ണമായി ഗ്രഹിക്കും.

The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he shall have executed, and till he shall have performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days ye shall consider it perfectly.

21 ഞാൻ ഈ പ്രവാചകന്മാരെ അയക്കാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവർ ഓടി; ഞാൻ അവരോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അവർ പ്രവചിച്ചു.

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.

22 അവർ എന്റെ ആലോചനസഭയിൽ നിന്നിരുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ കേൾപ്പിച്ചു അവരെ അവരുടെ ആകാത്തവഴിയിൽനിന്നും അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ദോഷത്തിൽനിന്നും തിരിപ്പിക്കുമായിരുന്നു.

But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.

23 ഞാൻ സമീപസ്ഥനായ ദൈവം മാത്രം ആകുന്നുവോ? ദൂരസ്ഥനായ ദൈവവുമല്ലയോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

[Am] I a God at hand, saith the LORD, and not a God afar off.

24 ഞാൻ കാണാതവണ്ണം ആൎക്കെങ്കിലും മറയത്തു ഒളിപ്പാൻ കഴിയുമോ? എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നവനല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD.

25 ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു, സ്വപ്നം കണ്ടു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ ഭോഷ്കു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ വാക്കു ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

26 സ്വന്തഹൃദയത്തിലെ വഞ്ചനയുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാരായി ഭോഷ്കു പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാൎക്കു ഈ താല്പൎയ്യം എത്രത്തോളം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കും?

How long shall [this] be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yes, [they are] prophets of the deceit of their own heart;

27 അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർ ബാൽ നിമിത്തം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഇവർ അന്യോന്യം വിവരിച്ചു പറയുന്ന സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു എന്റെ ജനം എന്റെ നാമം മറന്നുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇടവരുത്തുവാൻ വിചാരിക്കുന്നു.

Who think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.

28 സ്വപ്നംകണ്ട പ്രവാചകൻ സ്വപ്നം വിവരിക്കട്ടെ; എന്റെ വചനം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവൻ എന്റെ വചനം വിശ്വസ്തതയോടെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കട്ടെ; വൈക്കോലും കോതമ്പും തമ്മിൽ ഒക്കുമോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What [is] the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD?

29 എന്റെ വചനം തീ പോലെയും പാറയെ തകൎക്കുന്ന ചുറ്റികപോലെയും അല്ലയോ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

[Is] not my word like a fire? saith the LORD? and like a hammer [that] breaketh the rock in pieces?

30 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഒരുത്തനോടു ഒരുത്തൻ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാൎക്കു ഞാൻ വിരോധമാകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Therefore behold, I [am] against the prophets, saith the LORD, that steal my words every one from his neighbor.

31 തങ്ങളുടെ നാവെടുത്തു അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നു പറയുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാൎക്കു ഞാൻ വിരോധമാകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Behold, I [am] against the prophets, saith the LORD, that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

32 വ്യാജസ്വപ്നങ്ങളെ പ്രവചിച്ചു വിവരിച്ചു ഭോഷ്കുകൊണ്ടു വ്യൎത്ഥപ്രശംസകൊണ്ടും എന്റെ ജനത്തെ തെറ്റിച്ചുകളയുന്നവൎക്കു ഞാൻ വിരോധമാകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ അവരെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല, അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, അവർ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു ഒട്ടും പ്രയോജനമായിരിക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Behold, I [am] against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

33 ഈ ജനമോ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനോ പുരോഹിതനോ യഹോവയുടെ ഭാരം (അരുളപ്പാടു) എന്തു എന്നു നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, നീ അവരോടു; നിങ്ങൾ ആകുന്നു ഭാരം; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു എന്നു പറക.

And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What [is] the burden of the LORD? thou shalt then say to them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the LORD.

34 പ്രവാചകനോ പുരോഹിതനോ ജനമോ; യഹോവയുടെ ഭാരം എന്നു പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ ആ മനുഷ്യനെയും അവന്റെ ഭവനത്തെയും സന്ദൎശിക്കും.

And [as for] the prophet, and the priest, and the people that shall say, The burden of the LORD, I will even punish that man and his house.

35 യഹോവ എന്തുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു? യഹോവ എന്തു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെയത്രേ ഒരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടും താന്താന്റെ സഹോദരനോടും ചോദിക്കേണ്ടതു.

Thus shall ye say every one to his neighbor, and every one to his brother, What hath the LORD answered? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

36 യഹോവയുടെ ഭാരം എന്നു ഇനി മിണ്ടരുതു; അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അവനവന്റെ വാക്കു അവനവന്നു ഭാരമായ്തീരും; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ എന്ന ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങൾ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.

And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; for ye have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.

37 യഹോവ നിന്നോടു എന്തുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു? യഹോവ എന്തരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നിങ്ങനെയത്രേ പ്രവാചകനോടു ചോദിക്കേണ്ടതു.

Thus shalt thou say to the prophet, What hath the LORD answered thee? and, What hath the LORD spoken?

38 യഹോവയുടെ ഭാരം എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിലോ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ ഭാരം എന്നു പറയരുതു എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചിട്ടും നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെ ഭാരം എന്നീ വാക്കു പറകകൊണ്ടു

But since ye say, The burden of the LORD; therefore thus saith the LORD; Because ye say this word, The burden of the LORD, and I have sent to you, saying, Ye shall not say, The burden of the LORD;

39 ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ എടുത്തു നിങ്ങളെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കും നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാൎക്കും ഞാൻ തന്നിട്ടുള്ള നഗരത്തെയും എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിന്നു എറിഞ്ഞുകളയും.

Therefore behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city that I gave to you and your fathers, [and cast you] out of my presence:

40 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നിത്യനിന്ദയും മറന്നുപോകാത്ത നിത്യലജ്ജയും വരുത്തും.

And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you, and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten.
