യിരെമ്യാവു 19
1 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം കല്പിച്ചു: നീ പോയി കുശവനോടു ഒരു മൺകുടം വിലെക്കു വാങ്ങി ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിലും പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ മൂപ്പന്മാരിലും ചിലരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു
Thus said YHWH: “Go, and you have acquired a potter’s earthen vessel, and from [the] elderly of the people, and from [the] elderly of the priests,
2 ഹർസീത്ത് (ഓട്ടുനുറുക്കു) വാതിലിന്റെ പുറമെയുള്ള ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയിൽ ചെന്നു, ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്ന വാക്കുകളെ അവിടെ പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതു:
and you have gone forth to the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, that [is] at the opening of the gate of the pottery, and have proclaimed there the words that I speak to you,
3 യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരും യെരൂശലേം നിവസികളുമായുള്ളോരേ, യഹോവയുടെ വചനം കേൾപ്പിൻ! യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: കേൾക്കുന്നവന്റെ ചെവി മുഴങ്ങത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു ഒരനൎത്ഥം വരുത്തും.
and have said, Hear a word of YHWH, you kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem!” Thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: “Behold, I am bringing in evil on this place, at which the ears of everyone who is hearing it tingles,
4 അവർ എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, ഈ സ്ഥലത്തെ വഷളാക്കി, തങ്ങളും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരും അറിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ലാത്ത അന്യദേവന്മാൎക്കു അവിടെവെച്ചു ധൂപംകാട്ടി, ഈ സ്ഥലത്തെ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവരുടെ രക്തംകൊണ്ടു നിറെക്കയും
because that they have forsaken Me, and make known this place, and make incense in it to other gods, that they did not know, they and their fathers, and the kings of Judah, and they have filled this place [with] innocent blood,
5 ബാലിന്നു ഹോമബലികളായി തങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരെ തീയിൽ ഇട്ടു ദഹിപ്പിപ്പാൻ ബാലിന്നു പൂജാഗിരികളെ പണികയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. അതു ഞാൻ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടില്ല, അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല, എന്റെ മനസ്സിൽ വന്നിട്ടുമില്ല.
and have built the high places of Ba‘al to burn their sons with fire, burnt-offerings to Ba‘al, that I did not command, nor spoke of, nor did it come up on My heart.
6 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിന്നു ഇനി തോഫെത്ത് എന്നും ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോംതാഴ്വര എന്നും പേരുപറയാതെ കുലത്താഴ്വര എന്നു പേരുപറയുന്ന കാലം വരും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
Therefore, behold, days are coming,” a declaration of YHWH, “and this place is no longer called The Tophet and Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but Valley of the Slaughter.
7 അങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു യെഹൂദയുടെയും യെരൂശലേമിന്റെയും ആലോചനയെ നിഷ്ഫലമാക്കും; ഞാൻ അവരെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വാൾകൊണ്ടും അവൎക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൈകൊണ്ടും വീഴുമാറാക്കുകയും അവരുടെ ശവങ്ങളെ ആകാശത്തിലെ പക്ഷികൾക്കും കാട്ടിലെ മൃഗങ്ങൾക്കും ഇരയാക്കിക്കൊടുക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
And I have made void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and have caused them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of those seeking their life, and I have given their carcass for food to the bird of the heavens, and to the beast of the earth,
8 ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ സ്തംഭനത്തിന്നും പരിഹാസത്തിന്നും വിഷയമാക്കിത്തീൎക്കും; അതിന്നരികെ കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും സ്തംഭിച്ചു അതിന്നു നേരിട്ട സകലബാധകളുംനിമിത്തം ചൂളകുത്തും.
and I have made this city for a desolation, and for a hissing, everyone passing by it is astonished, and hisses for all its plagues.
9 അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളും അവൎക്കു പ്രാണഹാനി വരുത്തുവാൻ നോക്കുന്നവരും അവരെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഞെരുക്കത്തിലും നിരോധത്തിലും ഞാൻ അവരെ സ്വന്ത പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മാംസവും പുത്രിമാരുടെ മാംസവും തിന്നുമാറാക്കും; ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നും.
And I have caused them to eat the flesh of their sons, and the flesh of their daughters, and they each eat the flesh of his friend, in the siege and in the constriction with which their enemies constrict them, and those seeking their life.”
10 പിന്നെ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ പോന്ന പുരുഷന്മാർ കാൺകെ നീ ആ മൺകുടും ഉടെച്ചു അവരോടു പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
“And you have broken the bottle before the eyes of the men who are going with you,
11 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നന്നാക്കിക്കൂടാതവണ്ണം കുശവന്റെ പാത്രം ഉടെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ഞാൻ ഈ ജനത്തെയും ഈ നഗരത്തെയും ഉടെച്ചുകളയും. അടക്കം ചെയ്‌വാൻ വേറെ സ്ഥലമില്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവരെ തോഫെത്തിൽ അടക്കംചെയ്യും.
and have said to them, Thus said YHWH of Hosts: Thus I break this people and this city, as one breaks the potter’s vessel, that is not able to be repaired again, and in Tophet they bury—without place to bury;
12 ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തോടും അതിലെ നിവാസികളോടും ചെയ്യും; ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തെ തോഫെത്തിന്നു സമമാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
so I do to this place—a declaration of YHWH—and to its inhabitants, so as to make this city as Tophet;
13 മലിനമായിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേംവീടുകളും യെഹൂദാരാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ അരമനകളും അവർ മേല്പുരകളിൽവെച്ചു ആകാശത്തിലെ സൎവ്വസൈന്യത്തിന്നും ധൂപം കാണിക്കയും അന്യദേവന്മാൎക്കു പാനീയബലി പകരുകയും ചെയ്ത എല്ലാ വീടുകളും തന്നേ തോഫെത്ത് എന്ന സ്ഥലംപോലെയാകും.
and the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, have been as the place of Tophet—defiled, even all the houses on whose roofs they have made incense to all the host of the heavens, so as to pour out oblations to other gods.”
14 അനന്തരം യിരെമ്യാവു യഹോവ തന്നെ പ്രവചിപ്പാൻ അയിച്ചിരുന്ന തോഫെത്തിൽനിന്നു വന്നു, യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പ്രാകാരത്തിൽ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു സകലജനത്തോടും:
And Jeremiah comes in from Tophet, to where YHWH had sent him to prophesy, and he stands in the court of the house of YHWH, and he says to all the people:
15 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അവർ എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ കേൾക്കാതെ ശാഠ്യംപിടിച്ചിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ ഈ നഗരത്തിന്നു വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന അനൎത്ഥം ഒക്കെയും അതിന്നു അതിന്നടുത്ത എല്ലാപട്ടണങ്ങൾക്കും വരുത്തും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
“Thus said YHWH of Hosts, God of Israel: Behold, I am bringing to this city, and on all its cities, all the calamity that I have spoken against it, for they have hardened their neck to not hear My words!”
