യെശയ്യാവ് 43

1 ഇപ്പോഴോ യാക്കോബേ, നിന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചവനും, യിസ്രായേലേ, നിന്നെ നിൎമ്മിച്ചവനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ പേർ ചൊല്ലി വിളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീ എനിക്കുള്ളവൻ തന്നേ.

But now thus hath said the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not; for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; mine art thou.

2 നീ വെള്ളത്തിൽകൂടി കടക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടി ഇരിക്കും; നീ നദികളിൽകൂടി കടക്കുമ്പോൾ അവ നിന്റെമീതെ കവികയില്ല; നീ തീയിൽകൂടി നടന്നാൽ വെന്തു പോകയില്ല; അഗ്നിജ്വാല നിന്നെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കയുമില്ല.

Whenever thou passest through the waters, I am with thee; and through the rivers, —they shall not overflow thee: whenever thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be scorched; neither shall the flame burn on thee.

3 നിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനുമായ യഹോവ എന്ന ഞാൻ നിന്റെ രക്ഷകൻ; നിന്റെ മറുവിലയായി ഞാൻ മിസ്രയീമിനെയും നിനക്കു പകരമായി കൂശിനെയും സെബയെയും കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt for thy ransom, Cush and Seba in place of thee.

4 നീ എനിക്കു വില ഏറിയവനും മാന്യനും ആയി ഞാൻ നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിച്ചിരിക്കയാൽ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു പകരം മനുഷ്യരെയും നിന്റെ ജീവന്നു പകരം ജാതികളെയും കൊടുക്കുന്നു.

Since thou art precious in my eyes, art honorable, and I indeed do love thee: therefore will I give men in place of thee, and nations instead of thy soul.

5 ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ; ഞാൻ നിന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടു; നിന്റെ സന്തതിയെ ഞാൻ കിഴക്കുനിന്നു വരുത്തുകയും പടിഞ്ഞാറു നിന്നു നിന്നെ ശേഖരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

Fear not, for I am with thee; from the east will I bring thy seed, and from the west will I gather thee.

6 ഞാൻ വടക്കിനോടു: തരിക എന്നും തെക്കിനോടു: തടുത്തുവെക്കരുതെന്നും കല്പിക്കും; ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരെയും ഭൂമിയുടെ അറ്റത്തുനിന്നു എന്റെ പുത്രിമാരെയും

I will say to the north, Give up; and to the south, Withhold not: bring my sons from afar, and my daughters from the ends of the earth;

7 എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ വിളിച്ചും എന്റെ മഹത്വത്തിന്നായി സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു നിൎമ്മിച്ചു ഉണ്ടാക്കിയും ഇരിക്കുന്ന ഏവരെയും കൊണ്ടുവരിക എന്നു ഞാൻ കല്പിക്കും.

Every one that is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory; whom I have formed; yea, whom I have made.

8 കണ്ണുണ്ടായിട്ടും കുരുടന്മാരായും ചെവിയുണ്ടായിട്ടും ചെകിടന്മാരായും ഇരിക്കുന്ന ജനത്തെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരുവിൻ.

Bring forward the blind people that have eyes, and the deaf that have ears.

9 സകലജാതികളും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടട്ടെ, വംശങ്ങൾ ചേൎന്നുവരട്ടെ; അവരിൽ ആർ ഇതു പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും, പണ്ടു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതു കേൾപ്പിച്ചുതരികയും ചെയ്യുന്നു? അവർ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു സാക്ഷികളെ കൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ; അവർ കേട്ടിട്ടു സത്യം തന്നേ എന്നു പറയട്ടെ.

Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can announce this? and cause us to hear former things? let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: or let them hear, and say, It is truth.

10 നിങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞു എന്നെ വിശ്വസിക്കയും ഞാൻ ആകുന്നു എന്നു ഗ്രഹിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സാക്ഷികളും ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ദാസനും ആകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു: എനിക്കു മുമ്പെ ഒരു ദൈവവും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല, എന്റെ ശേഷം ഉണ്ടാകയുമില്ല.

Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: in order that ye may know and believe me, and understand, that I am he; before me there was no god formed, and after me there will be none.

11 ഞാൻ, ഞാൻ തന്നേ, യഹോവ; ഞാനല്ലാതെ ഒരു രക്ഷിതാവുമില്ല.

I, I am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour.

12 നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു അന്യദേവനല്ല, ഞാൻ തന്നേ പ്രസ്താവിക്കയും രക്ഷിക്കയും കേൾപ്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു; അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങൾ എന്റെ സാക്ഷികൾ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ ദൈവം തന്നേ.

I myself have announced it, and I have saved, and I have let it be heard, and there was no strange [god] among you; and ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and I am God.

13 ഇന്നും ഞാൻ അനന്യൻ തന്നേ; എന്റെ കയ്യിൽനിന്നു വിടുവിക്കുന്നവൻ ആരുമില്ല; ഞാൻ പ്രവൎത്തിക്കും; ആർ അതു തടുക്കും?

Yea, from the [first] day am I he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: if I will work, is there one that can hinder it?

14 നിങ്ങളുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരനും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനുമായ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങളുടെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ ബാബേലിലേക്കു ആളയച്ചു, അവരെയൊക്കെയും, കല്ദയരെ തന്നേ, ഓടിപ്പോകുന്നവരായി അവർ ഘോഷിച്ചുല്ലസിച്ചിരുന്ന കപ്പലുകളിൽ താഴോട്ടു ഓടുമാറാക്കും.

Thus hath said the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, For your sake did I send to Babylon, and in swift vessels brought I them all down, and the Chaldeans, in the ships of their joyful song.

15 ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പരിശുദ്ധനായ യഹോവയും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവും നിങ്ങളുടെ രാജാവും ആകുന്നു.

I am the Lord, the Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King.

16 സമുദ്രത്തിൽ വഴിയും പെരുവെള്ളത്തിൽ പാതയും ഉണ്ടാക്കുകയും

Thus hath said the Lord, who maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

17 രഥം, കുതിര, സൈന്യം, ബലം എന്നിവയെ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: അവർ ഒരുപോലെ കിടക്കുന്നു, എഴുന്നേല്ക്കയില്ല; അവർ കെട്ടുപോകുന്നു; വിളക്കുതിരിപോലെ കെട്ടുപോകുന്നു.

Who bringeth forth chariot and horse, army and power: together shall they lie down, they shall not rise up again; they are extinct, like a wick are they quenched.

18 മുമ്പുള്ളവയെ നിങ്ങൾ ഓൎക്കേണ്ടാ; പണ്ടുള്ളവയെ നിരൂപിക്കയും വേണ്ടാ.

Remember not the former things, and ancient events regard no more.

19 ഇതാ, ഞാൻ പുതിയതൊന്നു ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതു ഇപ്പോൾ ഉത്ഭവിക്കും; നിങ്ങൾ അതു അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? അതേ, ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ഒരു വഴിയും നിൎജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു നദികളും ഉണ്ടാക്കും.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now shall it spring forth; will ye not acknowledge it? I will even make in the wilderness a way, and in the desert rivers.

20 ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു കുടിപ്പാൻ കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വെള്ളവും നിൎജ്ജനപ്രദേശത്തു നദികളും നല്കിയിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു കാട്ടുമൃഗങ്ങളും കുറക്കന്മാരും ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷികളും എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിക്കും.

The beasts of the field shall honor me, the monsters and the ostriches; because I give waters in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my elect;

21 ഞാൻ എനിക്കു വേണ്ടി നിൎമ്മിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ജനം എന്റെ സ്തുതിയെ വിവരിക്കും.

This people which I have formed for myself; my praise shall they relate.

22 എന്നാൽ യാക്കോബേ, നീ എന്നെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; യിസ്രായേലേ, നീ എന്റെ നിമിത്തം അദ്ധ്വാനിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

But on me hast thou not called, O Jacob; for thou art become weary of me, O Israel.

23 നിന്റെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളുടെ കുഞ്ഞാടുകളെ നീ എനിക്കു കൊണ്ടുവന്നിട്ടില്ല; നിന്റെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളാൽ നീ എന്നെ ബഹുമാനിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; ഭോജനയാഗങ്ങളാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ഭാരപ്പെടുത്തീട്ടില്ല; ധൂപനംകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിന്നെ അദ്ധ്വാനിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുമില്ല.

Thou hast not brought unto me the lamb of thy burnt-offerings; and with thy sacrifices hast thou not honored me: I have not troubled thee with meat-offerings, nor wearied thee with frankincense.

24 നീ എനിക്കായി വയമ്പു വാങ്ങീട്ടില്ല; നിന്റെ ഹനനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കു തൃപ്തിവരുത്തീട്ടുമില്ല; നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു നീ എന്നെ അദ്ധ്വാനിപ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു എന്നെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Thou hast not bought for me sweet cane, and with the fat of thy sacrifices hast thou not satisfied me; but thou hast troubled me with thy sins, thou hast wearied me with thy iniquities.

25 എന്റെ നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ, ഞാൻ തന്നേ, നിന്റെ അതിക്രമങ്ങളെ മായിച്ചുകളയുന്നു; നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ ഓൎക്കയുമില്ല.

I, it is I that blot out thy transgressions for my own sake, and thy sins I will not remember.

26 എന്നെ ഓൎപ്പിക്ക; നാം തമ്മിൽ വ്യവഹരിക്ക; നീ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു വാദിച്ചുകൊൾക.

Put me in remembrance; let us plead together: relate thou, in order that thou mayest be justified.

27 നിന്റെ ആദ്യപിതാവു പാപം ചെയ്തു; നിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യസ്ഥന്മാർ എന്നോടു ദ്രോഹം ചെയ്തു.

Thy first father did sin, and they that plead for thee transgressed against me.

28 അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ മലിനമാക്കി, യാക്കോബിനെ ഉന്മൂലനാശത്തിന്നും, യിസ്രായേലിനെ നിന്ദെക്കും ഏല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Therefore do I profane the holy princes, and I give up Jacob to the curse, and Israel to reproaches.
