ഹഗ്ഗായി 2

1 ഏഴാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തൊന്നാം തിയ്യതി ഹഗ്ഗായിപ്രവാചകൻമുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

In the seventh month, in the twenty-first day of the month, the word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet, saying,

2 നീ യെഹൂദാദേശാധിപതിയായി ശെയല്തീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരുബ്ബാബേലിനോടും മഹാപുരോഹിതനായി യെഹോസാദാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവയോടും ജനത്തിൽ ശേഷിപ്പുള്ളവരോടും പറയേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

"Speak now to Zerubbabel, the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying,

3 നിങ്ങളിൽ ഈ ആലയത്തെ അതിന്റെ ആദ്യമഹത്വത്തോടെ കണ്ടവരായി ആർ ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു? ഇപ്പോൾ കണ്ടിട്ടു നിങ്ങൾക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു? ഏതുമില്ലാത്തതുപോലെ തോന്നുന്നില്ലയോ?

'Who is left among you who saw this house in its former glory? How do you see it now? Isn't it in your eyes as nothing?

4 ഇപ്പോഴോ സെരുബ്ബാബേലേ, ധൈൎയ്യപ്പെടുക എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; മഹാപുരോഹിതനായി യഹോസാദാക്കിന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവേ, ധൈൎയ്യപ്പെടുക; ദേശത്തിലെ സകലജനവുമായുള്ളോരേ, ധൈൎയ്യപ്പെട്ടു വേല ചെയ്‌വിൻ എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,' says Jehovah. 'Be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' says Jehovah, 'and work, for I am with you,' says Jehovah of hosts.

5 നിങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽ നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്ന നിയമത്തിന്റെ വചനം ഓൎപ്പിൻ; എന്റെ ആത്മാവു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടാ.

This is the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, and my Spirit lived among you. 'Do not be afraid.'

6 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: ഇനി കുറഞ്ഞോന്നു കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും കടലിനെയും കരയെയും ഇളക്കും.

For this is what Jehovah of hosts says: 'Yet once more, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens and the earth and the sea and the dry land;

7 ഞാൻ സകലജാതികളെയും ഇളക്കും; സകലജാതികളുടെയും മനോഹരവസ്തു വരികയും ചെയ്യും; ഞാൻ ഈ ആലയത്തെ മഹത്വപൂൎണ്ണമാക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.

and I will shake all nations, and they will come with the treasures of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory, says Jehovah of hosts.

8 വെള്ളി എനിക്കുള്ളതു, പൊന്നും എനിക്കുള്ളതു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

The silver is mine, and the gold is mine,' says Jehovah of hosts.

9 ഈ ആലയത്തിന്റെ പിന്നത്തെ മഹത്വം മുമ്പിലേത്തതിലും വലുതായിരിക്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ഈ സ്ഥലത്തു ഞാൻ സമാധാനം നല്കും എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says Jehovah of hosts; 'and in this place will I give peace,' says Jehovah of hosts."

10 ദാൎയ്യാവേശിന്റെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടു, ഒമ്പതാം മാസം, ഇരുപത്തുനാലാം തിയ്യതി ഹഗ്ഗായി പ്രവാചകൻ മുഖാന്തരം യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

In the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Daryavesh, the word of Jehovah came by Haggai the prophet, saying,

11 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: നിങ്ങൾ പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടു ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ചോദിക്കേണ്ടതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

"Thus says Jehovah of hosts: Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying,

12 ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ കോന്തലെക്കൽ വിശുദ്ധമാംസം വഹിച്ചു, ആ കോന്തലകൊണ്ടു അപ്പമോ പായസമോ വീഞ്ഞോ എണ്ണയോ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഒരു ഭക്ഷണസാധനമോ തൊട്ടാൽ അതു വിശുദ്ധമാകുമോ? അതിന്നു പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ഇല്ല എന്നുത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

'If someone carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with his fold touches bread, stew, wine, oil, or any food, will it become holy?'" The priests answered, "No."

13 എന്നാൽ ഹഗ്ഗായി: ശവത്താൽ അശുദ്ധനായ ഒരുത്തൻ അവയിൽ ഒന്നു തൊടുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അതു അശുദ്ധമാകുമോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു: അതു അശുദ്ധമാകും എന്നു പുരോഹിതന്മാർ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

Then Haggai said, "If one who is unclean by reason of a dead body touch any of these, will it be unclean?" The priests answered, "It will be unclean."

14 അതിന്നു ഹഗ്ഗായി ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാൽ: അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഈ ജനവും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ഈ ജാതിയും എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ആകുന്നു എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു. അവരുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയൊക്കെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; അവർ അവിടെ അൎപ്പിക്കുന്നതും അശുദ്ധം അത്രേ.

Then Haggai answered, "'So is this people, and so is this nation before me,' says Jehovah; 'and so is every work of their hands. That which they offer there is unclean.

15 ആകയാൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്നുതൊട്ടു പിന്നോക്കം, യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിങ്കൽ കല്ലിന്മേൽ കല്ലു വെച്ചതിന്നു മുമ്പുള്ളകാലം വിചാരിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ.

Now, please consider from this day and backward, before a stone was laid on a stone in the temple of Jehovah.

16 ആ കാലത്തു ഒരുത്തൻ ഇരുപതു പറയുള്ള കൂമ്പാരത്തിലേക്കു ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ പത്തു മാത്രമേ കാണുകയുള്ളു; ഒരുത്തൻ അമ്പതു പാത്രം കോരുവാൻ ചക്കാലയിൽ ചെല്ലുമ്പോൾ ഇരുപതു മാത്രമേ കാണുകയുള്ളു.

Through all that time, when one came to a heap of twenty measures, there were only ten. When one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty, there were only twenty.

17 വെൺകതിരും വിഷമഞ്ഞും കൽമഴയുംകൊണ്ടു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ നിങ്ങളുടെ കൈകളുടെ സകലപ്രവൃത്തികളിലും ദണ്ഡിപ്പിച്ചു; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങൾ എങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

I struck you with blight, mildew, and hail in all the work of your hands; yet you did not turn to me,' says Jehovah.

18 നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്നുതൊട്ടു മുമ്പോട്ടു ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുവിൻ; ഒമ്പതാം മാസം, ഇരുപത്തു നാലാം തിയ്യതിമുതൽ, യഹോവയുടെ മന്ദിരത്തിന്നു അടിസ്ഥാനം ഇട്ട ദിവസം തുടങ്ങിയുള്ള കാലത്തിൽ തന്നേ ദൃഷ്ടിവെക്കുവിൻ.

'Consider, please, from this day and backward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, since the day that the foundation of Jehovah's temple was laid, consider it.

19 വിത്തു ഇനിയും കളപ്പുരയിൽ കിടക്കുന്നുവോ? മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയും അത്തിവൃക്ഷവും മാതളവും ഒലിവുമരവും കായ്ക്കുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇന്നുമുതൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും.

Is the seed yet in the barn? Yes, the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree haven't brought forth. From this day will I bless you.'"

20 ഇരുപത്തുനാലാം തിയ്യതി യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു രണ്ടാം പ്രാവശ്യം ഹഗ്ഗായിക്കുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാൽ:

The word of Jehovah came the second time to Haggai in the twenty-fourth day of the month, saying,

21 നീ യെഹൂദാദേശാധിപതിയായ സെരുബ്ബാബേലിനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു: ഞാൻ ആകാശത്തെയും ഭൂമിയെയും ഇളക്കും.

"Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, 'I will shake the heavens and the earth.

22 ഞാൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ സിംഹാസനം മറിച്ചിടും; ജാതികളുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെ ബലം നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും; ഞാൻ രഥത്തെയും അതിൽ കയറി ഓടിക്കുന്നവരെയും മറിച്ചുകളയും; കുതിരകളും പുറത്തു കയറി ഓടിക്കുന്നവരും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ സഹോദരന്റെ വാളിനാൽ വീഴും.

I will overthrow the throne of kingdoms. I will destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations. I will overthrow the chariots, and those who ride in them. The horses and their riders will come down, everyone by the sword of his brother.

23 അന്നാളിൽ - സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു - എന്റെ ദാസനായി ശെയല്തീയേലിന്റെ മകനായ സെരുബ്ബാബേലേ, ഞാൻ നിന്നെ എടുത്തു മുദ്രമോതിരമാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു; ഞാൻ നിന്നെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.

In that day, says Jehovah of hosts, will I take you, Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel,' says Jehovah, 'and will make you as a signet, for I have chosen you,' says Jehovah of hosts."
