ആവർത്തനപുസ്തകം 6
1 നിങ്ങൾ കൈവശമാക്കുവാൻ കടന്നുചെല്ലുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ ജീവകാലം ഒക്കെയും നീയും നിന്റെ മകനും മകന്റെ മകനും ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ എല്ലാചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും പ്രമാണിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവനെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നും
“And this [is] the command, the statutes and the judgments which your God YHWH has commanded to teach you to do in the land which you are passing over there to possess it,
2 നീ ദീൎഘായുസ്സോടിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നുമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുതരുവാൻ കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള കല്പനകളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും ഇവ ആകുന്നു.
so that you fear your God YHWH, to keep all His statutes and His commands which I am commanding you, you, and your son, and your son’s son, all [the] days of your life, and so that your days are prolonged.
3 ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലേ, നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ പാലും തേനും ഒഴുകുന്ന ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റവും വൎദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും നീ കേട്ടു ജാഗ്രതയോടെ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്ക.
And you have heard, O Israel, and observed to do [them], that it may be well with you, and that you may multiply exceedingly, as YHWH, God of your fathers, has spoken to you, [in] the land flowing with milk and honey.
4 യിസ്രായേലേ, കേൾക്ക; യഹോവ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമാകുന്നു; യഹോവ ഏകൻ തന്നേ.
Hear, O Israel: Our God YHWH—YHWH [is] one!
5 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നീ പൂൎണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂൎണ്ണമനസ്സോടും പൂൎണ്ണശക്തിയോടും കൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.
And you have loved your God YHWH with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
6 ഇന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്ന ഈ വചനങ്ങൾ നിന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കേണം.
And these words which I am commanding you today have been on your heart,
7 നീ അവയെ നിന്റെ മക്കൾക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും നീ വീട്ടിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോഴും വഴി നടക്കുമ്പോഴും കിടക്കുമ്പോഴും എഴുന്നേല്ക്കുമ്പോഴും അവയെക്കുറിച്ചു സംസാരിക്കയും വേണം.
and you have repeated them to your sons, and spoken of them in your sitting in your house, and in your walking in the way, and in your lying down, and in your rising up,
8 അവയെ അടയാളമായി നിന്റെ കൈമേൽ കെട്ടേണം; അവ നിന്റെ കണ്ണുകൾക്കു മദ്ധ്യേ പട്ടമായി ഇരിക്കേണം.
and have bound them for a sign on your hand, and they have been for frontlets between your eyes,
9 അവയെ നിന്റെ വീട്ടിന്റെ കട്ടിളകളിൻമേലും പടിവാതിലുകളിലും എഴുതേണം.
and you have written them on doorposts of your house and on your gates.
10 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിനക്കു തരുമെന്നു അബ്രാഹാം, യിസ്ഹാക്, യാക്കോബ്, എന്ന നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു നിന്നെ കൊണ്ടുചെന്നു നീ പണിയാത്ത വലുതും നല്ലതുമായ പട്ടണങ്ങളും
And it has been, when your God YHWH brings you into the land which He has sworn to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to you great and good cities which you have not built,
11 നീ നിറെക്കാതെ സകലസമ്പത്തും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകളും നീ കുഴിക്കാത്ത കിണറുകളും നീ നട്ടുണ്ടാക്കാത്ത മുന്തിരിത്തോട്ടങ്ങളും ഒലിവുതോട്ടങ്ങളും നിനക്കു തരികയും നീ തിന്നു തൃപ്തിപ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ
and houses full of all good things which you have not filled, and wells dug which you have not dug, vineyards and olive-yards which you have not planted, that you have eaten and been satisfied.
12 നിന്നെ അടിമവീടായ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന യഹോവയെ മറക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾക.
Take heed to yourself lest you forget YHWH who has brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants.
13 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ സേവിക്കേണം; അവന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സത്യം ചെയ്യേണം.
You fear your God YHWH, and you serve Him, and you swear by His Name.
14 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ കോപം നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി ജ്വലിച്ചു നിന്നെ ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കാതിരിപ്പാൻ ചുറ്റുമിരിക്കുന്ന ജാതികളുടെ ദേവന്മാരായ അന്യദൈവങ്ങളുടെ പിന്നാലെ നീ പോകരുതു;
You do not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who [are] around you,
15 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ തീക്ഷ്ണതയുള്ള ദൈവം ആകുന്നു.
for your God YHWH [is] a zealous God in your midst—lest the anger of your God YHWH burns against you, and He has destroyed you from off the face of the ground.
16 നിങ്ങൾ മസ്സയിൽവെച്ചു പരീക്ഷിച്ചതുപോലെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ പരീക്ഷിക്കരുതു.
You do not try your God YHWH as you tried [Him] in Massah.
17 നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള കല്പനകളും സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും നിങ്ങൾ ജാഗ്രതയോടെ പ്രമാണിക്കേണം.
You diligently keep the commands of your God YHWH, and His testimonies and His statutes which He has commanded you,
18 നിനക്കു നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും യഹോവ നിന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത നല്ലദേശം നീ ചെന്നു കൈവശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതുപോലെ
and you have done that which is right and good in the eyes of YHWH, so that it is well with you, and you have gone in and possessed the good land which YHWH has sworn to your fathers,
19 നിന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളെയും നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു ഓടിച്ചുകളയേണ്ടതിന്നും നീ യഹോവയുടെ മുമ്പാകെ ന്യായവും ഹിതവുമായുള്ളതിനെ ചെയ്യേണം.
to drive away all your enemies from your presence, as YHWH has spoken.
20 നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളോടു കല്പിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള സാക്ഷ്യങ്ങളും ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും എന്തു എന്നു നാളെ നിന്റെ മകൻ നിന്നോടു ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ നീ നിന്റെ മകനോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:
When your son asks you hereafter, saying, What [are] the testimonies, and the statutes, and the judgments which our God YHWH has commanded you?
21 ഞങ്ങൾ മിസ്രയീമിൽ ഫറവോന്നു അടിമകൾ ആയിരുന്നു; എന്നാൽ യഹോവ ബലമുള്ള കൈകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീമിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.
Then you have said to your son, We have been servants of Pharaoh in Egypt, and YHWH brings us out of Egypt by a high hand;
22 മിസ്രയീമിന്റെയും ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ സകല കുടുംബത്തിന്റെയും മേൽ ഞങ്ങൾ കാൺകെ യഹോവ മഹത്തും ഉഗ്രവുമായുള്ള അടയാളങ്ങളും അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചു.
and YHWH gives signs and wonders, great and severe, on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes;
23 ഞങ്ങളേയോ താൻ നമ്മുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു സത്യം ചെയ്ത ദേശം തരുവാൻ അതിൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു
and He has brought us out from there, in order to bring us in, to give to us the land which He had sworn to our fathers.
24 എല്ലായ്പോഴും നമുക്കു നന്നായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ഇന്നത്തെപ്പോലെ അവൻ നമ്മെ ജീവനോടെ രക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നുമായി നാം നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുവാനും ഈ എല്ലാചട്ടങ്ങളെയും ആചരിപ്പാനും യഹോവ നമ്മോടു കല്പിച്ചു.
And YHWH commands us to do all these statutes, to fear our God YHWH, for good to ourselves [for] all the days, to keep us alive, as [at] this day;
25 നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നമ്മോടുകല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ നാം അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഈ സകലകല്പനകളും ആചരിപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം കാത്തുകൊള്ളുന്നു എങ്കിൽ നാം നീതിയുള്ളവരായിരിക്കും.
and it is righteousness for us when we observe to do all this command before our God YHWH, as He has commanded us.”
