2 ദിനവൃത്താന്തം 6

1 അപ്പോൾ ശലോമോൻ: താൻ കൂരിരുളിൽ വസിക്കുമെന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു;

Then said Solomon, “The Lord said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

2 എങ്കിലും ഞാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു നിവാസാലയം, നിനക്കു എന്നേക്കും വസിപ്പാൻ ഒരു സ്ഥലം പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

And I have indeed built a dwelling-house for thee, and have settled a place for thy abode for ever.”

3 പിന്നെ യിസ്രായേൽസഭ മുഴുവനും നില്ക്കെ രാജാവു തന്റെ മുഖം തിരിച്ചു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സൎവ്വസഭയേയും

And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel, and all the congregation of Israel was standing.

4 അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു തിരുവായ് കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവൎത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവൻ.

And he said, Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth unto David my father, and hath with his hands fulfilled it, when he said,

5 എന്റെ ജനത്തെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നാൾമുതൽ എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിവാൻ ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സകല ഗോത്രങ്ങളിലും ഒരു പട്ടണവും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തില്ല; എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്നു പ്രഭുവായിരിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ ഒരുത്തനെയും തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതുമില്ല.

Since the day that I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I did not make choice of any city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be therein; nor did I make choice of any man to be a ruler over my people of Israel;

6 എങ്കിലും എന്റെ നാമം ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യെരൂശലേമിനെയും എന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വാഴുവാൻ ദാവീദിനെയും ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

But I have made choice of Jerusalem, that my name might be there; and I have made choice of David to be over my people Israel,

7 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണം എന്നു എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു താല്പൎയ്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the Lord the God of Israel.

8 എന്നാൽ യഹോവ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോടു: എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിയേണമെന്നു നിനക്കു താല്പൎയ്യം ഉണ്ടായല്ലോ; ഇങ്ങനെ താല്പൎയ്യം ഉണ്ടായതു നല്ലതു;

But the Lord said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house unto my name, thou didst well in that it was in thy heart:

9 എങ്കിലും ആലയം പണിയേണ്ടതു നീയല്ല; നിന്റെ കടിപ്രദേശത്തുനിന്നുത്ഭവിക്കുന്ന മകൻ തന്നേ എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു ആലയം പണിയും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

Nevertheless thou shalt not thyself build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house unto my name.

10 അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ താൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം നിവൎത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിന്നു പകരം ഞാൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരുന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു ഒരു ആലയം പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

And the Lord hath fulfilled his word that he hath spoken; and I am risen up in the stead of David my father, and I sit on the throne of Israel, as the Lord hath spoken, and I have built the house unto the name of the Lord the God of Israel.

11 യഹോവ യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഉള്ള പെട്ടകം ഞാൻ അതിൽ വെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടു.

And I have placed there the ark, wherein is the covenant of the Lord which he hath made with the children of Israel.

12 അനന്തരം അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ യാഗപീഠത്തിൻ മുമ്പിൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സൎവ്വസഭയുടെയും സമക്ഷത്തുനിന്നുംകൊണ്ടു കൈ മലൎത്തി;

And he now placed himself before the altar of the Lord in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands;

13 ശലോമോൻ അഞ്ചു മുഴം നീളവും അഞ്ചു മുഴം വീതിയും മൂന്നു മുഴം ഉയരവുമായിട്ടു താമ്രംകൊണ്ടു ഒരു പീഠം ഉണ്ടാക്കി പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ നടുവിൽ വെച്ചിരുന്നു; അതിൽ അവൻ കയറിനിന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സൎവ്വസഭെക്കും മുമ്പാകെ മുട്ടുകുത്തി ആകാശത്തേക്കു കൈ മലൎത്തി പറഞ്ഞതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

For Solomon had made a laver of copper, and had placed it in the midst of the out-court, five cubits being its length, five cubits its breadth, and three cubits its height; and he placed himself upon it, and kneeled down upon his knees in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven;

14 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, പൂൎണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടെ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കുന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാൎക്കായി നിയമവും ദയയും പാലിക്കുന്നവനായ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും ഒരു ദൈവവും ഇല്ല.

And he said, O Lord God of Israel, there is no god like thee in the heavens, or on the earth, thou who keepest the covenant, and the kindness for thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart;

15 നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസന്നു ചെയ്ത വാഗ്ദാനം പാലിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; തിരുവായ്കൊണ്ടു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു ഇന്നു കാണുംപോലെ തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു നിവൎത്തിച്ചുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

Who has kept for thy servant David my father that which thou hadst promised him; and thou spokest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thy hand, as it is this day.

16 ആകയാൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നീ എന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദ് എന്ന നിന്റെ ദാസനോടു: നീ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടന്നതുപോലെ നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരും എന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണപ്രകാരം നടക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ വഴി സൂക്ഷിക്കമാത്രം ചെയ്താൽ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിപ്പാൻ നിനക്കു ഒരു പുരുഷൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ ഇല്ലാതെ വരികയില്ല എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതു നിവൎത്തിക്കേണമേ.

And now, O Lord, God of Israel, keep for thy servant David my father that which thou hast spoken concerning him, saying, There shall never fail thee a man in my sight who sitteth on the throne of Israel, if thy children but take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.

17 യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഒത്തുവരുമാറാകട്ടെ.

And now, O Lord, the God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant, unto David.

18 എന്നാൽ ദൈവം യഥാൎത്ഥമായി ഭൂമിയിൽ മനുഷ്യരോടുകൂടെ വസിക്കുമോ? സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിലും സ്വൎഗ്ഗാധിസ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിലും നീ അടങ്ങുകയില്ലല്ലോ; പിന്നെ ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ അടങ്ങുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?

For, in truth, will God then dwell with men on the earth? behold, the heavens and the heavens of heavens cannot contain thee: how much less then this house that I have built!

19 എങ്കിലും എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, അടിയൻ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ കഴിക്കുന്ന നിലവിളിയും പ്രാൎത്ഥനയും കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അടിയന്റെ പ്രാൎത്ഥനയിലേക്കും യാചനയിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു കടാക്ഷിക്കേണമേ.

Yet wilt thou turn thy regard unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O Lord my God, to listen unto the entreaty and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee:

20 അടിയൻ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാൎത്ഥന കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം സ്ഥാപിക്കുമെന്നു നീ അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത സ്ഥലമായ ഈ ആലയത്തിന്മേൽ രാവും പകലും തൃക്കൺപാൎത്തരുളേണമേ.

That thy eyes may be open toward this house day and night, toward the place of which thou hast said that thou wouldst put thy name there; that thou mayest listen unto the prayer which thy servant will pray at this place.

21 ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു പ്രാൎത്ഥിപ്പാനിരിക്കുന്ന അടിയന്റെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും യാചനകളെ കേൾക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു കേൾക്കേണമേ; കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

And listen thou to the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they will pray at this place: and oh, do thou hear from thy dwelling-place, from heaven; and hear, and forgive.

22 ഒരുത്തൻ തന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയും അവൻ അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു സത്യം ചെയ്യിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാൎയ്യം സത്യത്തിന്നു വെക്കുകയും അവൻ ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ നിന്റെ യാഗപീഠത്തിന്നു മുമ്പാകെ വന്നു സത്യം ചെയ്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

If any man trespass against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thy altar in this house:

23 നീ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചു ദുഷ്ടന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ തലമേൽതന്നേ വരുത്തി പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്‌വാനും നീതിമാന്റെ നീതിക്കു ഒത്തവണ്ണം അവന്നു നല്കി നീതീകരിപ്പാനും അടിയങ്ങൾക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുതരേണമേ.

Then do thou hear from heaven, and act, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, to bring his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

24 നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കനിമിത്തം അവർ ശത്രുവിനോടു തോറ്റിട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ സ്വീകരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടു ഈ ആലയത്തിൽവെച്ചു നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കയും യാചിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

And if thy people Israel be struck down before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and they return and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication before thee in this house:

25 നീ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു നീ അവൎക്കും അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാൎക്കും കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കു അവരെ തിരിച്ചു വരുത്തേണമേ.

Then do thou hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and cause them to return unto the land which thou hast given to them and to their fathers.

26 അവർ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കകൊണ്ടു ആകാശം അടെഞ്ഞു മഴ പെയ്യാതിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ ഈ സ്ഥലത്തിലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു പ്രാൎത്ഥിച്ചു നിന്റെ നാമം സ്വീകരിക്കയും നീ അവരെ താഴ്ത്തിയതുകൊണ്ടു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുതിരികയും ചെയ്താൽ,

When the heavens be shut up, and there he no rain, because they have sinned against thee, and they pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, because thou hast afflicted them:

27 നീ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു നിന്റെ ദാസന്മാരുടെയും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെയും പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവർ നടക്കേണ്ടുന്ന നല്ലവഴി അവരെ ഉപദേശിക്കയും നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്ത നിന്റെ ദേശത്തു മഴ പെയ്യിക്കയും ചെയ്യേണമേ.

Then do thou hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel; for thou wilt direct them unto the good way, wherein they should walk; and give then rain upon thy land, which thou hast given unto thy people for an inheritance.

28 ദേശത്തു ക്ഷാമമോ മഹാമാരിയോ വെൺകതിർ, വിഷമഞ്ഞു, വെട്ടുക്കിളി, തുള്ളൻ എന്നിവയോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ, അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളുള്ള ദേശത്തിൽ അവരെ നിരോധിച്ചാൽ, വല്ല വ്യാധിയോ വല്ല ദീനമോ ഉണ്ടായാൽ,

If there be famine in the land, if there be pestilence, blasting, or mildew, if there be locusts, or caterpillars; if their enemies besiege them in their land, in their gates at whatsoever plague, and at whatsoever sickness;

29 യാതൊരുത്തനെങ്കിലും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ മുഴുവനെങ്കിലും വല്ല പ്രാൎത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കഴിക്കയും ഓരോരുത്തൻ താന്താന്റെ വ്യാധിയും ദുഃഖവും അറിഞ്ഞു ഈ ആലയത്തിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു കൈ മലൎത്തുകയും ചെയ്താൽ,

What prayer and what supplication soever be made by any man, or by all thy people Israel, when they shall be conscious every man of his plague and his pain, and he then spread forth his hands toward this house:

30 നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽ നിന്നു കേട്ടു ക്ഷമിക്കയും

Then do thou hear from heaven the place of thy dwelling, and forgive, and give to every man in accordance with all his ways, as thou mayest know his heart; for thou, thyself alone, knowest the heart of the children of men;

31 ഞങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാൎക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തു അവർ ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കും കാലത്തൊക്കെയും നിന്റെ വഴികളിൽ നടപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ ഓരോരുത്തന്റെ ഹൃദയം അറിയുന്നതുപോലെ ഓരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും നല്കുകയും ചെയ്യേണമേ; നീ മാത്രമല്ലോ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ അറിയുന്നതു.

In order that they may fear thee, to walk in thy ways, all the days that they live on the face of the land which thou hast given unto our fathers.

32 നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിൽ ഉള്ളവനല്ലാത്ത അന്യജാതിക്കാരൻ നിന്റെ മഹത്വമുള്ള നാമവും ബലമുള്ള കയ്യും നീട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഭുജവും ഹേതുവായി ദൂരദേശത്തുനിന്നു വന്നാൽ - അവർ ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ വന്നു പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കും നിശ്ചയം -

But also to the stranger, who is not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far-off country for the sake of thy great name, and of thy mighty hand, and of thy outstretched arm, — if they come and pray in this house, —

33 നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ടു ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജാതികളും നിന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേൽ എന്നപോലെ നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ അറിഞ്ഞു നിന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും ഞാൻ പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിന്നു നിന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അറികയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു അന്യജാതിക്കാരൻ നിന്നോടു പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

Mayest thou likewise listen from heaven, from the place of thy dwelling, and do according to all that the stranger will call on thee for: in order that all people of the earth may know thy name, both to fear thee, as do thy people Israel, and to understand that this house, which I have built, is called by thy name.

34 നീ നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ അയക്കുന്ന വഴിയിൽ അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളോടു യുദ്ധം ചെയ്‌വാൻ പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഈ നഗരത്തിലേക്കും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും തിരിഞ്ഞു നിന്നോടു പ്രാൎത്ഥിച്ചാൽ

If thy people go out to battle against their enemies on the way on which thou mayest send them, and they do pray unto thee in the direction of this city which thou hast chosen, and of the house that I have built unto thy name:

35 നീ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രാൎത്ഥനയും യാചനയും കേട്ടു അവൎക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണമേ.

Then hear thou from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and procure them justice.

36 അവർ നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്കയും - പാപം ചെയ്യാത്ത മനുഷ്യൻ ഇല്ലല്ലോ - നീ അവരോടു കോപിച്ചു അവരെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്കു ഏല്പിക്കയും അവർ അവരെ ദൂരത്തോ സമീപത്തോ ഉള്ള ദേശത്തേക്കു ബദ്ധരാക്കി കൊണ്ടുപോകയും ചെയ്താൽ

If they sin against thee—for there is no man that may not sin, —and thou be angry with them, and give them up before the enemy, so that their captors carry them away captive unto a land far off or near;

37 അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഉണൎന്നു പ്രവാസദേശത്തുവെച്ചു: ഞങ്ങൾ പാപംചെയ്തു അകൃത്യവും ദുഷ്ടതയും പ്രവൎത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു നിന്നോടു യാചിക്കയും

And if they then take it to their heart in the land whither they have been carried captive, and repent and make supplication unto thee in the land of their captivity, saying, We have sinned, we have committed iniquity, and have acted wickedly;

38 അവരെ പിടിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയ പ്രവാസദേശത്തുവെച്ചു അവർ പൂൎണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂൎണ്ണമനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ നിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിഞ്ഞു നീ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാൎക്കു കൊടുത്ത ദേശത്തേക്കും നീ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത നഗരത്തിലേക്കും ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തിലേക്കും നോക്കി പ്രാൎത്ഥിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ

And they return unto thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have been carried captive, and they pray in the direction of their land, which thou hast given unto their fathers, and of the city which thou hast chosen, and toward the house which I have built unto thy name:

39 നീ നിന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമായ സ്വൎഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു അവരുടെ പ്രാൎത്ഥനയും യാചനകളും കേട്ടു അവൎക്കു ന്യായം പാലിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു നിന്നോടു പാപം ചെയ്ത നിന്റെ ജനത്തോടു ക്ഷമിക്കേണമേ.

Then hear thou from heaven, from the place of thy dwelling, their prayer and their supplications, and procure them justice, and forgive thy people for what they have sinned against thee.

40 ഇപ്പോഴും എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാൎത്ഥനെക്കു നിന്റെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നും നിന്റെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചും ഇരിക്കേണമേ.

Now, my God, let I beseech thee, thy eyes be open, and thy ears be attentive unto the prayer on this place.

41 ആകയാൽ യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നീയും നിന്റെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പെട്ടകവും എഴുന്നേറ്റു നിന്റെ വിശ്രാമത്തിലേക്കു വരേണമേ; യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ രക്ഷാവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കയും നിന്റെ ഭക്തന്മാർ നന്മയിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമാറാകട്ടെ.

And now arise, O Lord God, unto thy resting-place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy priests, O Lord God, clothe themselves with salvation, and let thy pious servants rejoice in happiness.

42 യഹോവയായ ദൈവമേ, നിന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന്റെ മുഖം ത്യജിച്ചുകളയരുതേ; നിന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനോടുള്ള കൃപകളെ ഓൎക്കേണമേ.

O Lord God, turn not away the face of thy anointed: remember the pious deeds of David thy servant.
