സെഫന്യാവു 3

1 പീഡകരുടെയും മത്സരികളുടെയും അശുദ്ധരുടെയും പട്ടണത്തിന് ഹാ കഷ്ടം!

Woe to her that is rebellious and corrupted, to the oppressing city!

2 അവൾ ആരെയും അനുസരിക്കുന്നില്ല, അവൾക്കു പ്രബോധനം സ്വീകാര്യമല്ല. അവൾ യഹോവയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്നില്ല, അവൾ തന്റെ ദൈവത്തോട് അടുത്തുവരുന്നതുമില്ല.

She hearkened not to the voice; she received not correction; she confided not in Jehovah; she drew not near her God.

3 അവളുടെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ അലറുന്ന സിംഹങ്ങൾ; അവളുടെ അധിപന്മാർ പ്രഭാതത്തിനായി ഒന്നും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കാത്ത സന്ധ്യാസമയത്ത് അലയുന്ന ചെന്നായ്ക്കൾ.

Her princes in the midst of her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves, that leave nothing for the morning.

4 അവളുടെ പ്രവാചകന്മാർ താന്തോന്നികൾ, അവർ വഞ്ചകന്മാർതന്നെ. അവളുടെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ മന്ദിരത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു, അവർ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തോട് അതിക്രമംചെയ്യുന്നു.

Her prophets are vain-glorious, treacherous persons; her priests profane the sanctuary, they do violence to the law.

5 നീതിമാനായ യഹോവ അവളിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു; അവിടന്ന് അനീതി ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. പ്രഭാതംതോറും അവിടന്ന് നീതി നടപ്പാക്കുന്നു, ഓരോ പുതിയ ദിവസവും അവിടന്ന് അതിനു മുടക്കം വരുത്തുന്നില്ല, എങ്കിലും നീതികെട്ടവർക്കു നാണമില്ല.

The righteous Jehovah is in the midst of her: he doeth no wrong. Every morning doth he bring his judgment to light; it faileth not: but the unrighteous knoweth no shame.

6 “ഞാൻ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ സുരക്ഷിതകേന്ദ്രങ്ങൾ തകർത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ അവരുടെ തെരുവുകൾ ശൂന്യമാക്കി, ആരും അവിടെ വഴിനടക്കുന്നില്ല. അവരുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങൾ നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആരും, ഒരുത്തൻപോലും ശേഷിക്കുകയില്ല.

I have cut off nations: their battlements are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by; their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, so that there is no inhabitant.

7 ‘നിശ്ചയമായും നീ എന്നെ ഭയപ്പെട്ട് എന്റെ പ്രബോധനം അംഗീകരിക്കും,’ എന്നു ഞാൻ അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു ചിന്തിച്ചു. അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ അവരുടെ വാസസ്ഥലം ശൂന്യമാകുകയില്ലായിരുന്നു, എന്റെ യാതൊരു ശിക്ഷയും അവളുടെമേൽ വരികയുമില്ലായിരുന്നു. എന്നിട്ടും അവരുടെ സകലദുഷ്‍പ്രവൃത്തിയിലും അവർ ജാഗ്രതയുള്ളവരായിരുന്നു.

I said, Only fear me, receive correction; so her dwelling shall not be cut off, howsoever I may punish her. But they rose early, they corrupted all their doings.

8 അതിനാൽ, എനിക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുക,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “ഞാൻ സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന് എഴുന്നേൽക്കുന്ന ദിവസത്തിനായിത്തന്നെ. രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെയും രാജ്യങ്ങളെയും കൂട്ടിവരുത്താനും എന്റെ ക്രോധത്തെയും എന്റെ ഭയങ്കരകോപമെല്ലാം അവരുടെമേൽ വർഷിക്കാനും ഞാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ തീക്ഷ്ണകോപത്തിന്റെ അഗ്നിയിൽ സർവലോകവും ദഹിച്ചുപോകും.

Therefore wait ye for me, saith Jehovah, until the day that I rise up to the prey; for my determination is to assemble the nations, that I may gather the kingdoms together, to pour upon them mine indignation, — all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

9 “അപ്പോൾ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നതിനും ഏകമനസ്സോടെ യഹോവയെ സേവിക്കുന്നതിനും ഞാൻ ജനതകളുടെ അധരങ്ങൾ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കും.

For then will I turn to the peoples a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of Jehovah, to serve him with one consent.

10 എന്റെ ആരാധകരും ചിതറിപ്പോയ എന്റെ ജനവും കൂശിലെ നദിക്കപ്പുറത്തുനിന്ന് എനിക്കു നേർച്ചകൾ കൊണ്ടുവരും.

From beyond the rivers of Cush my suppliants, the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine oblation.

11 നിങ്ങൾ എന്നോടു ചെയ്തിട്ടുള്ള സകല അതിക്രമങ്ങളും നിമിത്തം ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ലജ്ജിക്കേണ്ടിവരികയില്ല. തങ്ങളുടെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിൽ സന്തോഷിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും. എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധപർവതത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾ ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും ധാർഷ്ട്യക്കാരായിരിക്കുകയില്ല.

In that day thou shalt not be ashamed for all thy doings wherein thou hast transgressed against me; for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that exult in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.

12 താഴ്മയും സൗമ്യതയും ഉള്ളവരായി, യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുന്ന ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ഒരു ശേഷിപ്പിനെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നടുവിൽ ശേഷിപ്പിക്കും.

And I will leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of Jehovah.

13 അവർ അതിക്രമം ചെയ്യുകയില്ല; അവർ വ്യാജം പറയുകയുമില്ല. അവരുടെ നാവുകളിൽ വഞ്ചനയും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല. അവർ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു കിടന്നുറങ്ങും ആരും അവരെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല.”

The remnant of Israel shall not work unrighteousness, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: but they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

14 സീയോൻപുത്രീ, പാടുക, ഇസ്രായേലേ, ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ആർത്തുവിളിക്കുക! ജെറുശലേംപുത്രീ, പൂർണഹൃദയത്തോടെ സന്തോഷിച്ച് ആനന്ദിക്കുക!

Exult, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; rejoice and be glad with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem:

15 യഹോവ നിന്റെ ശിക്ഷ നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു, അവിടന്ന് നിന്റെ ശത്രുവിനെ പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ രാജാവായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുണ്ട്; നീ ഇനി ഒരാപത്തും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതില്ല.

Jehovah hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy; the King of Israel, Jehovah, is in the midst of thee; thou shalt not see evil any more.

16 ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ അവർ ജെറുശലേമിനോടു പറയും: “സീയോനേ, ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട, നിന്റെ കരങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചലമാകേണ്ടതില്ല.

In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear not; Zion, let not thy hands be slack.

17 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിന്നോടുകൂടെയുണ്ട്, അവിടന്ന് രക്ഷിക്കാൻ ശക്തൻ. അവിടന്ന് നിന്നിൽ അധികം സന്തോഷിക്കും; യഹോവ തന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തിൽ ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും നിന്നെ ശാസിക്കുകയില്ല, എന്നാൽ സംഗീതത്തോടെ അവിടന്ന് നിന്നിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കും.”

Jehovah thy God is in thy midst, a mighty one that will save: he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love; he will exult over thee with singing.

18 “നിർദിഷ്ട പെരുന്നാളുകൾ നഷ്ടമായത് നിങ്ങൾക്കൊരു ഭാരവും ലജ്ജയും ആണല്ലോ അതേക്കുറിച്ച് വിലപിക്കുന്നവർ ഇനി നിങ്ങളിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല.

I will gather them that sorrow for the solemn assemblies, who were of thee: the reproach of it was a burden [unto them].

19 നിന്നെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ച സകലരോടും ആ കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ ഇടപെടും. ഞാൻ മുടന്തനെ വിടുവിക്കും; ചിതറിപ്പോയവരെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കും. അവരെ ലജ്ജിതരാക്കിയ എല്ലാ ദേശങ്ങളിലും ഞാൻ അവർക്കു മഹത്ത്വവും പുകഴ്ചയും നൽകും.

Behold, at that time I will deal with all them that afflict thee; and I will save her that halted, and gather her that was driven out; and I will make them a praise and a name in all the lands where they have been put to shame.

20 ആ കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ശേഖരിക്കും; ആ കാലത്ത് ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർക്കും. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം ദൃഷ്ടികൾക്കുമുമ്പിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാസികളെ മടക്കിവരുത്തുമ്പോൾ, ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജനങ്ങളുടെയും മധ്യത്തിൽ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു മഹത്ത്വവും പുകഴ്ചയും നൽകും,” ഇത് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.

At that time will I bring you, yea, at the time that I gather you; for I will make you a name and a praise, among all the peoples of the earth, when I shall turn again your captivity before your eyes, saith Jehovah.
