സെഖര്യാവ് 5

1 ഞാൻ വീണ്ടും മുകളിലേക്കുനോക്കി. അവിടെ അതാ, എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ പറക്കുന്ന ഒരു ചുരുൾ!

And once more lifted I mine eyes, and looked, —and lo! a Flying Volume.

2 ദൂതൻ എന്നോട്, “നീ എന്തു കാണുന്നു?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. “പറക്കുന്ന ചുരുൾ ഞാൻ കാണുന്നു. അതിന് ഇരുപതുമുഴം നീളവും പത്തുമുഴം വീതിയും ഉണ്ട്,” എന്നു ഞാൻ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.

And he said unto me, What canst thou see? So I said, I, can see a flying volume, the length thereof, twenty by the cubit, and, the breadth thereof, ten by the cubit.

3 ദൂതൻ എന്നോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു. “ഇതു ദേശത്തിന്മേൽ പുറപ്പെട്ടുവരുന്ന ശാപം ആകുന്നു. അതിന്റെ ഒരുവശത്തു പറയുന്നതുപോലെ, മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നവനൊക്കെയും ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും; മറ്റേവശത്തു പറയുന്നതുപോലെ, കള്ളസത്യംചെയ്യുന്നവരൊക്കെയും ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടും.

Then said he unto me, This, is the curse, which is going forth over the face of all the earth, —Because, every one who stealeth, on the one side, hath in one way been let off, and, every one who sweareth, on the other side, hath in another way been let off,

4 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്, ‘ഞാൻ അതിനെ അയയ്ക്കും. അതു മോഷ്ടിക്കുന്നവന്റെ വീട്ടിലും എന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ കള്ളസത്യംചെയ്യുന്നവരുടെ വീട്ടിലും പ്രവേശിക്കും. അത് ആ വീട്ടിൽ വസിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് അതിന്റെ കല്ലും മരവും നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളയും.’”

[therefore] have I brought it forth, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, And it shall enter—into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth by my name, falsely, —and it shall roost in the midst of his house, and shall consume it, both the timbers thereof, and the stones thereof.

5 എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ച ദൂതൻ മുന്നോട്ടുവന്ന് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു, “തല ഉയർത്തി, ഈ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നത് എന്തെന്നു നോക്കുക.”

Then came forward, the messenger who was talking with me, —and said unto me—Lift up, I pray thee, thine eyes, and see what this is which is coming forth.

6 “അതെന്ത്?” എന്നു ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു: “അത് ധാന്യം അളക്കുന്ന ഒരു കുട്ട ആകുന്നു.” അദ്ദേഹം തുടർന്നു: “ഇത് ദേശമെങ്ങുമുള്ള ജനത്തിന്റെ അതിക്രമം ആകുന്നു.”

And I said, What is it? Then said he, This, is an ephah that is coming forth. And he said, This, is their iniquity, throughout all the land.

7 അപ്പോൾ ഈയത്തിലുള്ള അടപ്പ് ഉയർത്തി. അതാ, ആ കുട്ടയ്ക്കകത്ത് ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ഇരിക്കുന്നു!

And lo! a leaden disc uplifted, —and here a certain woman, sitting inside the ephah.

8 ദൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു: “ഇത് ദുഷ്ടത ആകുന്നു,” അദ്ദേഹം അവളെ കുട്ടയ്ക്കുള്ളിലാക്കി അടപ്പുകൊണ്ട് അടച്ചു.

Then said he, This, is Lawlessness. So he thrust her back inside the ephah, —and then thrust the leaden weight into the mouth thereof.

9 അപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ മുകളിലേക്കുനോക്കി—അവിടെ അതാ, ചിറകുകളിൽ കാറ്റുവഹിക്കുന്ന രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകൾ എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ! കൊക്കുകൾക്ക് ഉള്ളതുപോലെ അവർക്കു ചിറകുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ ആകാശത്തിനും ഭൂമിക്കും മധ്യേ ആ കുട്ട ഉയർത്തി.

Then lifted I up mine eyes and looked, and lo! Two Women coming forward, with the wind in their wings, and, they, had wings, like the wings of the stork, —and bare up the ephah, between the earth and the heavens.

10 “അവർ ആ കുട്ട എവിടെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നു?” എന്ന് എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ച ദൂതനോട് ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചു.

Then said I unto the messenger who was speaking with me, —Whither are they carrying the ephah?

11 അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: “ബാബേലിൽ അവർ അതിന് ഒരു വീടുപണിയും. അതു പൂർത്തിയാകുമ്പോൾ ആ കുട്ട അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തു വെക്കും.”

And he said unto me, To build for it a house in the land of Shinar, —so shall it be ready, and they shall settle it there, upon its own base?
