സെഖര്യാവ് 2
1 ഞാൻ തല ഉയർത്തിനോക്കി, എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ അതാ, കൈയിൽ അളവുനൂലുമായി ഒരു പുരുഷനെ കണ്ടു.
I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.
2 “താങ്കൾ എവിടെ പോകുന്നു?” എന്നു ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു, “ഞാൻ ജെറുശലേമിനെ അളക്കാൻ പോകുന്നു. അതിന്റെ വീതിയും നീളവും എന്തെന്ന് അളന്നു തിട്ടപ്പെടുത്താൻതന്നെ.”
Then I asked, “Where are you going?” He said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its width and what is its length.”
3 അപ്പോൾ എന്നോടു സംസാരിച്ച ദൂതൻ യാത്രയാകാൻ ഒരുങ്ങുമ്പോൾ, വേറൊരു ദൂതൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു.
Behold, the angel who talked with me went out, and another angel went out to meet him,
4 “‘ജെറുശലേം അതിലെ പുരുഷാരത്തിന്റെയും കന്നുകാലിയുടെയും ബാഹുല്യംനിമിത്തം മതിലുകൾ ഇല്ലാത്ത ഒരു പട്ടണം ആയിരിക്കുമെന്ന് ആ യുവാവിനോട് പറയുക.
and said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it.
5 ഞാൻതന്നെ ആ പട്ടണത്തിനുചുറ്റും ഒരു അഗ്നിമതിൽ ആയിരിക്കും, ഞാൻ അതിനുള്ളിൽ അതിന്റെ മഹത്ത്വവും ആയിരിക്കും,’ എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.”
For I,’ says the LORD, ‘will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the middle of her.
6 യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “വരിക, വരിക: വടക്കേദേശംവിട്ട് ഓടിപ്പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ആകാശത്തിലെ നാലു കാറ്റുകളിലും ചിതറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ” എന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാട്.
Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,’ says the LORD; ‘for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky,’ says the LORD.
7 “സീയോനേ, വരിക! ബാബേൽപുത്രിയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവരേ, ഓടിപ്പൊയ്ക്കൊൾക!”
‘Come, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.’
8 കാരണം സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “നിന്നെ കൊള്ളയടിച്ച രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെനേരേ, തേജോമയൻ എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. നിന്നെ തൊടുന്നവർ അവിടത്തെ കൺമണിയെയാണു തൊടുന്നത്.
For the LORD of Hosts says: ‘For honor he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.
9 അവരുടെ അടിമകൾ അവരെ കൊള്ളയടിക്കത്തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ അവർക്കുനേരേ എന്റെ കൈ ഉയർത്തും; സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്ന് അപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും.
For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they will be a plunder to those who served them; and you will know that the LORD of Hosts has sent me.
10 “സീയോൻപുത്രീ, ആനന്ദിച്ചാർപ്പിടുക; ഞാൻ വരുന്നു; ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ വസിക്കും,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion! For behold, I come and I will dwell within you,’ says the LORD.
11 “അനേക ജനതകൾ ആ ദിവസത്തിൽ യഹോവയോടുചേർന്ന് എന്റെ ജനമായിത്തീരും. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ വസിക്കും. സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയായ കർത്താവ് എന്നെ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയും.
Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell among you, and you shall know that the LORD of Hosts has sent me to you.
12 വിശുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ യെഹൂദാ യഹോവയുടെ ഓഹരിയും അവകാശവുമായിരിക്കും. അവിടന്ന് വീണ്ടും ജെറുശലേമിനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കും.
The LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
13 സകലമനുഷ്യരുമേ, യഹോവ തന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്ന് എഴുന്നള്ളിയിരിക്കുകയാൽ അവിടത്തെ മുമ്പിൽ നിശ്ശബ്ദരായിരിക്കുക.”
Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for he has roused himself from his holy habitation!”
