ഉത്തമഗീതം 6

1 സ്ത്രീകളിൽ അതിസുന്ദരീ, നിന്റെ പ്രിയൻ എവിടെപ്പോയിരിക്കുന്നു? നിന്റെ പ്രിയൻ ഏതുവഴിയേ തിരിഞ്ഞു, അവനെ തെരയാൻ നിന്നോടൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങളും ചേരട്ടെയോ?

O the fairest among women, whither is thy welbeloued gone? whither is thy welbeloued turned aside, that we may seeke him with thee?

2 എന്റെ പ്രിയൻ അവന്റെ ഉദ്യാനത്തിലേക്ക്, സുഗന്ധസസ്യങ്ങളുടെ തടങ്ങളിലേക്കുതന്നെ പോയിരിക്കുന്നു, തോട്ടത്തിൽ മേയിക്കുന്നതിനും ശോശന്നപ്പുഷ്പം ശേഖരിക്കുന്നതിനും പോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

My welbeloued is gone downe into his garden to the beds of spices, to feede in the gardens, and to gather lilies.

3 ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രിയന്റേതും എന്റെ പ്രിയൻ എന്റേതുമാകുന്നു; അവൻ ശോശന്നച്ചെടികൾക്കിടയിൽ മന്ദംമന്ദം നടക്കുന്നു.

I am my welbeloueds, and my welbeloued is mine, who feedeth among the lilies.

4 എന്റെ പ്രിയേ, നീ തിർസ്സാനഗരംപോലെതന്നെ സൗന്ദര്യമുള്ളവൾ, ജെറുശലേംപോലെ സൗന്ദര്യവതി, കൊടികളേന്തിയ സൈന്യംപോലെ രാജപ്രൗഢിയാർന്നവൾ.

Thou art beautifull, my loue, as Tirzah, comely as Ierusale, terrible as an army with baners.

5 നിന്റെ കണ്ണ് എന്നിൽനിന്ന് പിൻവലിക്കുക; അവയെന്നെ കീഴടക്കുന്നു. ഗിലെയാദ് മലഞ്ചെരിവിലൂടെ ഇറങ്ങിവരുന്ന കോലാട്ടിൻപറ്റംപോലെയാണ് നിന്റെ കാർകൂന്തൽ.

Turne away thine eyes from me: for they ouercome mee: thine heare is like a flocke of goates, which looke downe from Gilead.

6 രോമം കത്രിച്ച് കുളിച്ചുകയറിവരുന്ന ആട്ടിൻപറ്റംപോലെയാണ് നിന്റെ പല്ലുകൾ. അവയെല്ലാം ഇണക്കുട്ടികൾ; ഒന്നും ഒറ്റയായി കാണപ്പെടുന്നില്ല.

Thy teeth are like a flocke of sheepe, which goe vp from the washing, which euery one bring out twinnes, and none is barren among them.

7 മൂടുപടത്തിനുള്ളിലുള്ള നിന്റെ കപോലങ്ങൾ മാതളപ്പഴത്തിന്റെ പകുതിപോലെയാണ്.

Thy temples are within thy lockes as a piece of a pomegranate.

8 അറുപതു രാജ്ഞിമാരും എൺപതു വെപ്പാട്ടികളും അസംഖ്യം കന്യകമാരും അവിടെയുണ്ടല്ലോ;

There are threescore Queenes and fourescore concubines and of the damsels without nober.

9 എന്നാൽ എന്റെ പ്രാവേ, എന്റെ അമലസുന്ദരിയായവൾ ഒരുവൾമാത്രം, അവളുടെ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് ഏകപുത്രിയായവൾ, അവളെ ചുമന്നവൾക്കേറ്റം പ്രിയങ്കരിതന്നെ. യുവതികൾ അവളെ കണ്ട് അനുഗൃഹീത എന്നഭിസംബോധനചെയ്തു; രാജ്ഞിമാരും വെപ്പാട്ടികളും അവളെ പുകഴ്ത്തി.

But my doue is alone, and my vndefiled, she is the onely daughter of her mother, and shee is deare to her that bare her: the daughters haue seene her and counted her blessed: euen the Queenes and the concubines, and they haue praised her.

10 അരുണോദയംപോലെ ശോഭിക്കുന്നോരിവൾ ആരാണ്? ചന്ദ്രികപോലെ സുമുഖി, സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ പ്രഭാവതി, താരഗണങ്ങൾപോലെ പ്രസന്നവതി.

Who is shee that looketh foorth as the morning, fayre as the moone, pure as the sunne, terrible as an armie with banners!

11 ഞാൻ എന്റെ ബദാംവൃക്ഷത്തോപ്പിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്നു, താഴ്വരയിലെ പുതുമുകുളങ്ങൾ കാണാൻ, മുന്തിരിലതകൾ പുഷ്പിണികളായോ എന്നും മാതളനാരകം പൂത്തുലഞ്ഞോ എന്നും നോക്കുന്നതിനായിത്തന്നെ.

I went downe to the garden of nuttes, to see the fruites of the valley, to see if the vine budded, and if the pomegranates flourished.

12 ഈവക അനുഭൂതി ഞാൻ ആസ്വദിക്കുന്നതിനുമുമ്പേതന്നെ, എന്റെ അഭിലാഷം എന്നെ എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ രാജകീയ രഥവ്യൂഹത്തിലേക്കെത്തിച്ചു.

I knewe nothing, my soule set me as the charets of my noble people.

13 അല്ലയോ ശൂലേംകാരീ, മടങ്ങിവരിക മടങ്ങിവരിക; മടങ്ങിവരിക മടങ്ങിവരിക, ഞങ്ങൾ നിന്നെയൊന്നു കണ്ടുകൊള്ളട്ടെ! യുവാവ് മഹനയീമിലെ നൃത്തത്തെ വീക്ഷിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ ശൂലേംകാരിയെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്തിനു മിഴിച്ചുനോക്കുന്നു?

Returne, returne, O Shulamite, returne: returne that we may behold thee. What shall you see in the Shulamite, but as the company of an armie?
