വെളിപാട് 2
1 “എഫേസോസിലെ സഭയുടെ ദൂതന് എഴുതുക: “വലതുകൈയിൽ ഏഴു നക്ഷത്രം പിടിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഏഴു തങ്കനിലവിളക്കിന്റെ നടുവിൽ നടക്കുന്ന ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:
TO the angel of the Ephesian church write; These things saith he who grasps the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh round in the midst of the seven golden lamps;
2 “നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിയും അധ്വാനവും സഹിഷ്ണുതയും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു. ദുഷ്ടമനുഷ്യരെ നിനക്കു സഹിച്ചുകൂടാത്തതും അപ്പൊസ്തലരല്ലെങ്കിലും സ്വയം അപ്പൊസ്തലരെന്നു നടിക്കുന്നവരെ നീ പരിശോധിച്ച് അവർ വ്യാജരാണെന്നു കണ്ടെത്തിയതും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
I know thy works, and thy travail, and thy patience, and that thou canst not bear the wicked; and hast tried those who give themselves out as apostles, yet are not, and hast found them liars;
3 എന്റെ നാമത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ക്ലേശങ്ങൾ ക്ഷമയോടെ സഹിച്ചിട്ടും തളർന്നുപോകാതിരുന്നതും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
and hast borne, and hast exercised patience, and for my name sake hast endured great toil, and hast not fainted.
4 “എങ്കിലും നിനക്കെതിരേ എനിക്ക് ഒരു പരാതിയുണ്ട്: നിന്റെ ആദ്യസ്നേഹം നീ ത്യജിച്ചു.
Yet have I a charge against thee, that thou art gone back from thy first love.
5 നീ എത്ര ഉയരത്തിൽനിന്നാണ് വീണിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കി പശ്ചാത്തപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നിന്റെ പഴയ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ പുനരാരംഭിക്കുക. നീ അനുതപിക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരികയും നിന്റെ നിലവിളക്ക് അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയുകയും ചെയ്യും.
Remember then from whence thou hast fallen, and repent, and practise thy first works; but if not, I am coming to thee quickly, and I will remove thy lamp out of its place, except thou repent.
6 എന്നാൽ, നിക്കൊലാവ്യരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ നീ വെറുക്കുന്നു എന്ന ഒരു മേന്മ നിനക്കുണ്ട്. അവ ഞാനും വെറുക്കുന്നു.
But this thou holdest, that thou abhorrest the deeds of the Nicolatans, which I also abhor.
7 “ആത്മാവ് സഭകളോടു പറയുന്നതെന്തെന്ന് ചെവിയുള്ളവർ കേൾക്കട്ടെ. വിജയിക്കുന്നവന് ഞാൻ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പറുദീസയിലുള്ള ജീവവൃക്ഷത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഭക്ഷിക്കാൻ കൊടുക്കും.
He that hath ears, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches, To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
8 “സ്മുർന്നയിലെ സഭയുടെ ദൂതന് എഴുതുക: “മരിച്ചിട്ട് പുനരുത്ഥാനംചെയ്ത ആദ്യനും അന്ത്യനും ആകുന്ന ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:
And to the angel of the church of the Smyrnians write, These things saith the first and the last, who was dead, and is alive:
9 “നീ സഹിക്കുന്ന കഷ്ടതയും ദാരിദ്ര്യവും—എങ്കിലും നീ ധനികൻതന്നെ—ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു. തങ്ങൾ യെഹൂദർ അല്ലാതിരിക്കെ യെഹൂദരെന്നു മിഥ്യാഭിമാനം പുലർത്തുന്ന സാത്താന്റെ പള്ളിക്കാർ നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയുന്ന അപവാദങ്ങളും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
I know thy works, and thy tribulation, and thy poverty (though thou art rich), and the calumnies of those who say they are Jews, yet are not, but are Satan’s synagogue.
10 നിങ്ങൾ സഹിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒട്ടും ഭയപ്പെടരുത്. സൂക്ഷിക്കുക; പിശാചു നിങ്ങളിൽ ചിലരെ തടവിലാക്കി നിങ്ങളെ പരീക്ഷിക്കാൻ പോകുന്നു. പത്തുദിവസം നിങ്ങൾക്കു പീഡനമുണ്ടാകും. മരണംവരെ വിശ്വസ്തനായിരിക്കുക; ഞാൻ ജീവകിരീടം നിനക്കു തരും.
Fear nothing from the things which thou shalt suffer: lo! the devil will cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have a ten day’s tribulation: be thou faithful until death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11 “ആത്മാവ് സഭകളോടു പറയുന്നതെന്തെന്ന് ചെവിയുള്ളവർ കേൾക്കട്ടെ. വിജയിക്കുന്നവന് രണ്ടാംമരണത്തിന്റെ ഭീഷണിയില്ല.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. He that overcometh shall receive no injury from the second death.
12 “പെർഗമൊസിലുള്ള സഭയുടെ ദൂതന് എഴുതുക: “മൂർച്ചയേറിയ ഇരുവായ്ത്തലയുള്ള വാളുള്ള ഞാൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:
And to the angel of the church at Pergamos write, These things saith he who holdeth the sharp two-edged sword;
13 “നീ വസിക്കുന്നത് എവിടെയെന്നും അവിടെ സാത്താന്റെ സിംഹാസനമുണ്ടെന്നും എനിക്കറിയാം. എങ്കിലും നീ എന്റെ നാമത്തോടുള്ള വിശ്വസ്തതപുലർത്തുന്നു. നിങ്ങളുടെയിടയിൽ, സാത്താൻ താമസിക്കുന്നിടത്തുനിന്നുതന്നെയുള്ള എന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തസാക്ഷിയായ അന്തിപ്പാസ് രക്തസാക്ഷിയായിത്തീർന്ന കാലത്തുപോലും, നീ എന്നിലുള്ള വിശ്വാസം ത്യജിച്ചില്ല.
I know thy works and where thou hast thy abode, even where Satan’s throne is erected: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days when Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was put to death among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 “എങ്കിലും നിനക്കു വിരോധമായി ഇതാ ചില കാര്യങ്ങൾ: വിഗ്രഹാർപ്പിതം ഭക്ഷിക്കാനും ദുർനടപ്പിൽ ഏർപ്പെടാനും ഇസ്രായേല്യരെ വശീകരിക്കാൻ ബാലാക്കിനു നിർദേശംകൊടുത്ത ബിലെയാമിന്റെ ഉപദേശം മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ചിലർ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലുണ്ട്.
Yet I have a few things against thee, that thou hast there some who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to lay a stumbling-block before the children of Israel, to eat of idol sacrifices, and to commit whoredom.
15 അതുപോലെതന്നെ നിക്കൊലാവ്യരുടെ ഉപദേശം സ്വീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരും നിങ്ങൾക്കിടയിലുണ്ട്.
Thou hast also some who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which I abhor.
16 അനുതപിക്കുക; അല്ലാത്തപക്ഷം ഞാൻ വേഗം നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന് എന്റെ വായിലെ വാൾകൊണ്ട് അവരോടു പോരാടും.
Repent! but if not, I am coming to thee quickly, and will war against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 “ആത്മാവ് സഭകളോടു പറയുന്നതെന്തെന്ന് ചെവിയുള്ളവർ കേൾക്കട്ടെ. വിജയിക്കുന്നവന് ഞാൻ മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന മന്ന നൽകും. ഞാൻ അവന് ഒരു വെള്ളക്കല്ലും കൊടുക്കും. ലഭിക്കുന്നവനല്ലാതെ മറ്റാർക്കും അറിയാത്ത ഒരു പുതിയ പേരും ആ കല്ലിന്മേൽ എഴുതപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കും.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches, To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white pebble, and upon the pebble a new name inscribed, which no man knoweth except the person who receiveth it.
18 “തുയഥൈരയിലുള്ള സഭയുടെ ദൂതന് എഴുതുക: “അഗ്നിജ്വാലപോലെ കണ്ണുകളും വെള്ളോടിനു തുല്യമായ പാദങ്ങളുമുള്ള ദൈവപുത്രൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു:
And to the angel of the church which is at Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes as a flame of fire, and his feet like the molten brass;
19 “നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളും നിന്റെ സ്നേഹം, വിശ്വാസം, സേവനം, സഹിഷ്ണുത എന്നിവയും നീ ഇപ്പോൾ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തി ആദ്യം ചെയ്തതിനെക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായിരുന്നു എന്നതും ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
I know thy deeds, and thy love, and thy charity to the poor, and thy faith, and thy patience, and thy works, and that the last are more abundant than the first.
20 “എന്നാൽ, നിന്നെക്കുറിച്ച് ഒരു കുറ്റം എനിക്കു പറയാനുണ്ട്. ദുർനടപ്പിൽ ഏർപ്പെടാനും വിഗ്രഹാർപ്പിതം ഭക്ഷിക്കാനും എന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചു വഴിതെറ്റിക്കുന്ന സ്വയംപ്രഖ്യാപിത പ്രവാചികയായ ഈസബേൽ എന്ന സ്ത്രീയെ നീ അനുവദിക്കുന്നു.
Yet I have a few things against thee, because thou hast suffered that woman Jezabel, calling herself a prophetess, to teach, and to lead my servants into error, to commit whoredom, and eat the idol sacrifices.
21 അവൾക്കു തന്റെ അസാന്മാർഗികതയിൽനിന്ന് അനുതപിക്കാൻ ഞാൻ സമയം നൽകിയെങ്കിലും അതിൽനിന്ന് മാനസാന്തരപ്പെടാൻ അവൾക്കു മനസ്സില്ല.
And I gave her a space that she should repent of her whoredom, and she hath not repented.
22 നോക്കുക, ഞാൻ അവളെ കഷ്ടതയുടെ കിടക്കയിലാക്കും; അവളുമായി വ്യഭിചരിക്കുന്നവർ അവൾ ചെയ്യുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തികളെക്കുറിച്ച് അനുതപിക്കാതെ ഇരുന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അവരെയും വലിയ യാതനയിലാക്കും.
Behold, I am about to cast her on a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
23 അവളുടെ മക്കളെയും ഞാൻ വധിച്ചുകളയും. ഞാൻ ഹൃദയങ്ങളെയും മനസ്സുകളെയും പരിശോധിക്കുന്നവനെന്നും ഓരോരുത്തർക്കും തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്ക് അനുസൃതമായി പകരം നൽകുന്നവനെന്നും സകലസഭകളും അറിയും.
And I will slay her children by death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searcheth the reins and the hearts: and I will give to you, even to every one, according to your works.
24 “എന്നാൽ അവളുടെ ഉപദേശം സ്വീകരിക്കാതെയും സാത്താന്റെ നിഗൂഢരഹസ്യങ്ങൾ എന്ന് അവർ പറയുന്നവ അഭ്യസിക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നവരായ തുയഥൈരയിലെ ശേഷമുള്ളവരോടു ഞാൻ കൽപ്പിക്കുന്നത്:
But to you I say, and to the rest that are at Thyatira, as many as do not hold this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak, I will lay upon them no other burden.
25 ‘ഞാൻ വരുന്നതുവരെയും നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളതു മുറുകെപ്പിടിക്കുക; ഇതല്ലാതെ മറ്റൊരു ഭാരവും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെമേൽ ചുമത്തുന്നില്ല.’
Nevertheless that which you have, hold fast till I come.
26 “വിജയിക്കുകയും അന്ത്യംവരെ എന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നവന് എന്റെ പിതാവ് എനിക്കു നൽകിയതുപോലെ ഞാൻ ജനതകളുടെമേൽ അധികാരം കൊടുക്കും.
And he who overcometh, and perseveres in my works unto the end, to him will I give authority over the nations;
27 ‘അദ്ദേഹം ഇരുമ്പുകോൽകൊണ്ട് അവരെ ഭരിക്കും; മൺപാത്രങ്ങൾപോലെ അവർ നുറുങ്ങിപ്പോകും.’
he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as a potter’s vessels they shall be broken in pieces, even as I have received authority from my Father:
28 എന്റെ പിതാവിൽനിന്ന് എനിക്കു ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളതുപോലെ ഞാൻ അവന് പ്രഭാതനക്ഷത്രം നൽകും.
and I will give him the star of the morning.
29 ആത്മാവ് സഭകളോടു പറയുന്നതെന്തെന്ന് ചെവിയുള്ളവർ കേൾക്കട്ടെ.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
