സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 85

1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, അവിടന്ന് അങ്ങയുടെ ദേശത്തോട് കരുണകാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; യാക്കോബിന്റെ സൗഭാഗ്യങ്ങൾ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

“To the chief musician, by the sons of Korach, a psalm.” Thou hast been favorable, O Lord, unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.

2 അവിടന്ന് അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തിന്റെ അകൃത്യം ക്ഷമിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ മറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)

Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people: thou hast covered over all their sin. (Selah)

3 അങ്ങയുടെ ക്രോധമെല്ലാം അങ്ങ് പിൻവലിക്കുകയും ഉഗ്രകോപത്തിൽനിന്ന് പിന്തിരിയുകയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.

Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast relinquished the fierceness of thy anger.

4 ഞങ്ങളുടെ രക്ഷയായ ദൈവമേ, ഞങ്ങളെ പുനരുദ്ധരിക്കണമേ, ഞങ്ങളോടുള്ള അങ്ങയുടെ അതൃപ്തി നീക്കിക്കളയണമേ.

Return to us, O God of our salvation, and cause thy ill-will toward us to cease.

5 അങ്ങ് ഞങ്ങളോട് എപ്പോഴും കോപിക്കുമോ? അങ്ങയുടെ കോപം തലമുറകളിലേക്ക് നീണ്ടുനിൽക്കുമോ?

Wilt thou be wroth with us for ever? wilt thou extend thy anger from generation to generation?

6 അവിടത്തെ ജനം അങ്ങയിൽ ആനന്ദിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവിടന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ പുനരുജ്ജീവിപ്പിക്കുകയില്ലേ?

Wilt thou not [now] revive us again, that thy people may rejoice in thee?

7 യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ഞങ്ങളിൽ ചൊരിയണമേ, അവിടത്തെ രക്ഷ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് അനുവദിച്ചുനൽകണമേ.

Show us thy kindness, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.

8 യഹോവയായ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നത് ഞാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കും; തന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തസേവകരായ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന് അവിടന്ന് സമാധാനം അരുളും— അങ്ങനെ അവർ അവരുടെ ഭോഷത്തത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.

I will hear what God the Lord will speak; for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his pious ones: only let them not turn again to folly.

9 ദൈവമഹത്ത്വം നമ്മുടെ ദേശത്ത് വസിക്കേണ്ടതിന്, അവിടത്തെ രക്ഷ തന്നെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നവർക്ക് സമീപസ്ഥമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

Surely, nigh is his salvation unto those that fear him: that glory may dwell in our land.

10 വിശ്വസ്തതയും അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹവുംതമ്മിൽ എതിരേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; നീതിയും സമാധാനവുംതമ്മിൽ ചുംബിക്കുന്നു.

Kindness and truth are met together: righteousness and peace kiss each other.

11 വിശ്വസ്തത ഭൂമിയിൽനിന്ന് മുളയ്ക്കുന്നു, നീതി സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് താഴേക്കു നോക്കുന്നു.

Truth will grow up out of the earth, and righteousness will look down from heaven.

12 യഹോവ നമുക്ക് നന്മയായതുമാത്രം നൽകുന്നു നമ്മുടെ ദേശം അതിന്റെ വിളവുനൽകുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.

Yea, the Lord will also give the good, and our land will yield its products.

13 നീതി അവിടത്തേക്കു മുമ്പായി നടക്കുകയും അങ്ങയുടെ കാൽച്ചുവടുകൾക്കു വഴിയൊരുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Righteousness will walk firmly before him, and will make [level] the way by its steps.
