1 ആസാഫിന്റെ ഒരു ധ്യാനസങ്കീർത്തനം. എന്റെ ജനമേ, എന്റെ ഉപദേശം കേൾക്കുക; എന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.

An Instruction of Asaph. Give ear, O my people, to my law, Incline your ear to sayings of my mouth.

2 ഞാൻ സാദൃശ്യകഥ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിനായി എന്റെ വായ് തുറക്കും; പുരാതനകാലംമുതൽ മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കും—

I open with a simile my mouth, I bring forth hidden things of old,

3 നാം കേൾക്കുകയും അറിയുകയും നമ്മുടെ പൂർവികർ നമ്മെ അറിയിക്കുകയുംചെയ്ത കാര്യങ്ങൾതന്നെ.

That we have heard and do know, And our fathers have recounted to us.

4 നാം അവ അവരുടെ മക്കളിൽനിന്ന് മറച്ചുവെക്കുകയില്ല; യഹോവയുടെ മഹത്തായ പ്രവൃത്തികളെപ്പറ്റി, അവിടത്തെ ശക്തിയെയും അവിടന്നു ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികളെയുംപറ്റിയും ഞങ്ങൾ അടുത്ത തലമുറയോട് പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.

We do not hide from their sons, To a later generation recounting praises of Jehovah, And His strength, and His wonders that He hath done.

5 അവിടന്ന് യാക്കോബിന് തന്റെ നിയമവ്യവസ്ഥകൾ ഉത്തരവിടുകയും ഇസ്രായേലിൽ ന്യായപ്രമാണം സ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു— നമ്മുടെ പൂർവികരോട് അവരുടെ മക്കൾക്ക് ഉപദേശിച്ചുനൽകണമെന്ന് അവിടന്ന് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചവതന്നെ—

And He raiseth up a testimony in Jacob, And a law hath placed in Israel, That He commanded our fathers, To make them known to their sons.

6 അങ്ങനെ അടുത്ത തലമുറ ആ കൽപ്പനകൾ അറിയും ഇനി ജനിക്കാനിരിക്കുന്ന മക്കളും! അവർ അവരുടെ മക്കളെ അത് പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

So that a later generation doth know, Sons who are born, do rise and recount to their sons,

7 അപ്പോൾ അവർ ദൈവത്തിൽ തങ്ങളുടെ ആശ്രയംവെക്കുകയും അവിടത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ മറക്കാതെ അവിടത്തെ കൽപ്പനകൾ പ്രമാണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

And place in God their confidence, And forget not the doings of God, But keep His commands.

8 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ പൂർവികരെപ്പോലെ ദുശ്ശാഠ്യമുള്ളവരും മത്സരികളുമായ ഒരു തലമുറയോ അവിശ്വസ്തരും ദൈവത്തോട് കൂറുപുലർത്താത്ത ഹൃദയവുമുള്ള ഒരു തലമുറയോ ആകുകയില്ല.

And they are not like their fathers, A generation apostate and rebellious, A generation! it hath not prepared its heart, Nor stedfast with God [is] its spirit.

9 എഫ്രയീം വില്ലാളിവീരന്മാർ ആയിരുന്നെങ്കിലും യുദ്ധദിവസത്തിൽ അവർ പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞോടി;

Sons of Ephraim — armed bearers of bow, Have turned in a day of conflict.

10 അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ ഉടമ്പടി പാലിക്കുകയോ അവിടത്തെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിച്ച് ജീവിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്തില്ല.

They have not kept the covenant of God, And in His law they have refused to walk,

11 അവിടന്നു ചെയ്ത പ്രവൃത്തികളും അവരെ കാണിച്ച അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അവർ മറന്നു.

And they forget His doings, And His wonders that He shewed them.

12 അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെമുമ്പാകെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ സോവാൻ സമഭൂമിയിൽ അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചല്ലോ.

Before their fathers He hath done wonders, In the land of Egypt — the field of Zoan.

13 അവിടന്ന് കടൽ വിഭജിച്ച് അതിലൂടെ അവരെ കടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടുപോയി; അവിടന്ന് ജലപാളികളെ ഒരു മതിൽപോലെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചുനിർത്തി.

He cleft a sea, and causeth them to pass over, Yea, He causeth waters to stand as a heap.

14 പകൽമുഴുവൻ മേഘംകൊണ്ട് അവർക്ക് തണൽ ഒരുക്കി രാത്രിമുഴുവൻ അഗ്നിജ്വാലയിൽനിന്നുള്ള പ്രകാശത്താൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നയിച്ചു.

And leadeth them with a cloud by day, And all the night with a light of fire.

15 അവിടന്ന് മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ച് പാറകളെ പിളർത്തി ആഴിയിൽനിന്നെന്നപോലെ അവർക്ക് സമൃദ്ധമായി ജലം നൽകി;

He cleaveth rocks in a wilderness, And giveth drink — as the great deep.

16 കടുന്തൂക്കായ പാറകളിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അരുവികൾ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു. ആ നീർച്ചാലുകളെ, താഴ്വരയിലേക്ക് നദികൾപോലെ ഒഴുക്കി.

And bringeth out streams from a rock, And causeth waters to come down as rivers.

17 എന്നിട്ടും അവർ അവിടത്തേക്കെതിരേ പാപംചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു, മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ച് അത്യുന്നതനെതിരേ മത്സരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

And they add still to sin against Him, To provoke the Most High in the dry place.

18 തങ്ങൾ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച ഭക്ഷണത്തിനായി അവർ മനഃപൂർവം ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു.

And they try God in their heart, To ask food for their lust.

19 അവർ ദൈവത്തിനു വിരോധമായി മുറവിളികൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു: “മരുഭൂമിയിൽ നമുക്ക് ഭക്ഷണമേശ ഒരുക്കുന്നതിന് ദൈവത്തിന് കഴിയുമോ?

And they speak against God — they said: 'Is God able to array a table in a wilderness?'

20 അവിടന്ന് പാറയെ അടിച്ചു, വെള്ളം പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടു അരുവികൾ കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി, സത്യം, എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു ഭക്ഷണംകൂടി നൽകാൻ അവിടത്തേക്കു കഴിയുമോ? അവിടത്തെ ജനത്തിനു മാംസം നൽകുമോ?”

Lo, He hath smitten a rock, And waters flow, yea, streams overflow. 'Also — bread [is] He able to give? Doth He prepare flesh for His people?'

21 യഹോവ ഇതു കേട്ടപ്പോൾ രോഷാകുലനായി; അവിടത്തെ കോപാഗ്നി യാക്കോബിനെതിരേയും അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധം ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെനേരേയും കത്തിജ്വലിച്ചു,

Therefore hath Jehovah heard, And He sheweth Himself wroth, And fire hath been kindled against Jacob, And anger also hath gone up against Israel,

22 അവർ ദൈവത്തിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കുകയോ അവിടത്തെ കരുതലിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യാതിരുന്നതിനാൽത്തന്നെ.

For they have not believed in God, Nor have they trusted in His salvation.

23 എന്നിട്ടും അവിടന്ന് മീതേയുള്ള ആകാശത്തിന് ഒരു ആജ്ഞ കൊടുത്തു ആകാശത്തിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾ തുറന്നു;

And He commandeth clouds from above, Yea, doors of the heavens He hath opened.

24 അവിടന്ന് ജനത്തിന് ആഹാരമായി മന്ന പൊഴിച്ചു, സ്വർഗീയധാന്യം അവിടന്ന് അവർക്കു നൽകി.

And He raineth on them manna to eat, Yea, corn of heaven He hath given to them.

25 അവിടന്ന് അവർക്ക് സമൃദ്ധിയായി അയച്ചുകൊടുത്ത ശക്തരുടെ ആഹാരം മനുഷ്യർ ആസ്വദിച്ചു.

Food of the mighty hath each eaten, Venison He sent to them to satiety.

26 അവിടന്ന് ആകാശത്തിൽനിന്ന് കിഴക്കൻകാറ്റിനെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടു അവിടത്തെ ശക്തിയാൽ തെക്കൻകാറ്റ് ആഞ്ഞുവീശുകയും ചെയ്തു.

He causeth an east wind to journey in the heavens, And leadeth by His strength a south wind,

27 അവരുടെമേൽ അവിടന്ന് പൊടിപോലെ മാംസവും കടൽത്തീരത്തെ മണൽത്തരിപോലെ പക്ഷികളെയും വർഷിപ്പിച്ചു.

And He raineth on them flesh as dust, And as sand of the seas — winged fowl,

28 അവയെ അവരുടെ പാളയത്തിലേക്ക്, അവരുടെ കൂടാരത്തിനുചുറ്റം പറന്നിറങ്ങുമാറാക്കി.

And causeth [it] to fall in the midst of His camp, Round about His tabernacles.

29 മതിയാകുവോളം അവർ ഭക്ഷിച്ചു; അവർ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചതുതന്നെ അവിടന്ന് അവർക്ക് നൽകി.

And they eat, and are greatly satisfied, And their desire He bringeth to them.

30 എന്നാൽ അവർ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച ഭക്ഷണം ഭക്ഷിച്ചു തൃപ്തരാകുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ്, അത് അവരുടെ വായിൽ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ,

They have not been estranged from their desire, Yet [is] their food in their mouth,

31 ദൈവകോപം അവർക്കുനേരേ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവരിലെ കായബലമുള്ളവരെ മരണത്തിനേൽപ്പിച്ചു, ഇസ്രായേലിലെ യുവനിരയെത്തന്നെ അവിടന്ന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

And the anger of God hath gone up against them, And He slayeth among their fat ones, And youths of Israel He caused to bend.

32 എന്നിട്ടുമവർ പാപത്തിൽത്തന്നെ തുടർന്നു; അവിടത്തെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിട്ടും അവർ വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ല.

With all this they have sinned again, And have not believed in His wonders.

33 അതിനാൽ അവരുടെ ആയുസ്സ് വ്യർഥമായി അവസാനിക്കുന്നതിനും അവരുടെ സംവത്സരങ്ങൾ ഭീതിയിലാണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിനും അവിടന്ന് സംഗതിയാക്കി.

And He consumeth in vanity their days, And their years in trouble.

34 എപ്പോഴൊക്കെ ദൈവം അവരെ സംഹരിച്ചോ, അപ്പോഴെല്ലാം അവർ അവിടത്തെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു; വളരെ ഗൗരവതരമായിത്തന്നെ അവർ ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിച്ചു.

If He slew them, then they sought Him, And turned back, and sought God earnestly,

35 ദൈവമായിരുന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ പാറ എന്നും അത്യുന്നതനായ ദൈവമാണ് തങ്ങളുടെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പുകാരൻ എന്നും അവർ ഓർത്തു.

And they remember that God [is] their rock, And God Most High their redeemer.

36 എന്നാൽ തങ്ങളുടെ വാകൊണ്ട് അവർ ദൈവത്തോട് മുഖസ്തുതി പറയുകയും നാവുകൊണ്ട് അവർ അവിടത്തോടു വ്യാജം പറയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു;

And — they deceive Him with their mouth, And with their tongue do lie to Him,

37 അവരുടെ ഹൃദയം അവിടത്തോട് കൂറുപുലർത്തിയില്ല, അവിടത്തെ ഉടമ്പടിയോട് അവർ വിശ്വസ്തരായിരുന്നതുമില്ല.

And their heart hath not been right with Him, And they have not been stedfast in His covenant.

38 എന്നിട്ടും ദൈവം അവരോട് കരുണയുള്ളവനായിരുന്നു; അവരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ അവിടന്ന് ക്ഷമിച്ചു അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചതുമില്ല. തന്റെ ക്രോധം മുഴുവനും ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കാതെ പലപ്പോഴും തന്റെ കോപത്തെ അടക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And He — the Merciful One, Pardoneth iniquity, and destroyeth not, And hath often turned back His anger, And waketh not up all His fury.

39 അവർ കേവലം മാംസംമാത്രം, മടങ്ങിവരാത്തൊരു മന്ദമാരുതൻ എന്ന് അവിടന്ന് ഓർത്തു.

And He remembereth that they [are] flesh, A wind going on — and it returneth not.

40 എത്രയോവട്ടം അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽവെച്ച് ദൈവത്തിനെതിരേ മത്സരിച്ചു വിജനദേശത്തുവെച്ച് എത്രയോതവണ അവിടത്തെ ദുഃഖിപ്പിച്ചു!

How often do they provoke Him in the wilderness, Grieve Him in the desolate place?

41 അവർ വീണ്ടും വീണ്ടും ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു; ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ പരിശുദ്ധനെ വിഷമിപ്പിച്ചു.

Yea, they turn back, and try God, And the Holy One of Israel have limited.

42 അവിടത്തെ ശക്തി അവർ ഓർത്തില്ല— പീഡകരിൽനിന്നും തങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടെടുത്ത ദിവസവും

They have not remembered His hand The day He ransomed them from the adversary.

43 ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽ അവിടന്നു ചെയ്ത ചിഹ്നങ്ങളും സോവാൻ സമഭൂമിയിലെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അവർ ഓർത്തില്ല.

When He set His signs in Egypt, And His wonders in the field of Zoan,

44 അവരുടെ നദികളെ അവിടന്ന് രക്തമാക്കി; അവരുടെ അരുവികളിൽനിന്ന് അവർക്ക് കുടിക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെയുമായി.

And He turneth to blood their streams, And their floods they drink not.

45 അവരെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളയേണ്ടതിന് അവിടന്ന് ഈച്ചകളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തെ അയച്ചു, തവളക്കൂട്ടങ്ങൾ അവർക്കിടയിൽ നാശം വിതച്ചു.

He sendeth among them the beetle, and it consumeth them, And the frog, and it destroyeth them,

46 അവരുടെ കൃഷി അവിടന്ന് വിട്ടിലിന് ആഹാരമായും അവരുടെ വിളകൾ വെട്ടുക്കിളികൾക്കും നൽകി.

And giveth to the caterpillar their increase, And their labour to the locust.

47 അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ മുന്തിരിത്തലകൾ കന്മഴകൊണ്ടു നശിപ്പിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ കാട്ടത്തികളെ ആലിപ്പഴംകൊണ്ടു മൂടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

He destroyeth with hail their vine, And their sycamores with frost,

48 കന്മഴകൊണ്ട് അവരുടെ കന്നുകാലിക്കൂട്ടങ്ങളെ തകർത്തു, അവരുടെ മൃഗസമ്പത്ത് ഇടിമിന്നലിന് ഇരയായി.

And delivereth up to the hail their beasts, And their cattle to the burning flames.

49 അങ്ങയുടെ കോപം അവരുടെമേൽ ആളിക്കത്തി, കുപിതനായ അങ്ങ് അവർക്കുനേരേ, ക്രോധം, അപമാനം, ശത്രുത, എന്നിവയുടെ സംഹാരദൂതഗണത്തെ അഴിച്ചുവിട്ടു.

He sendeth on them the fury of His anger, Wrath, and indignation, and distress — A discharge of evil messengers.

50 അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ കോപത്തിനൊരു വഴിതുറന്നു; അവരുടെ ജീവനെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നു മാറ്റിനിർത്തിയില്ല, എന്നാൽ അവരെ അവിടന്ന് മഹാമാരിക്ക് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

He pondereth a path for His anger, He kept not back their soul from death, Yea, their life to the pestilence He delivered up.

51 ഈജിപ്റ്റിലെ എല്ലാ ആദ്യജാതന്മാരെയും അവിടന്ന് സംഹരിച്ചു, ഹാമിന്റെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിലെ പൗരുഷത്തിന്റെ പ്രഥമസന്തതികളെത്തന്നെ.

And He smiteth every first-born in Egypt, The first-fruit of the strong in tents of Ham.

52 എന്നാൽ അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ ജനത്തെ ആട്ടിൻപറ്റത്തെപ്പോലെ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു; മരുഭൂമിയിലൂടെ ആടുകളെയെന്നപോലെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നടത്തി.

And causeth His people to journey as a flock, And guideth them as a drove in a wilderness,

53 അവിടന്ന് അവരെ സുരക്ഷിതരായി നയിച്ചു, അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർക്ക് ഭയം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല; എന്നാൽ സമുദ്രം അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

And He leadeth them confidently, And they have not been afraid, And their enemies hath the sea covered.

54 അങ്ങനെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ വിശുദ്ധനാടിന്റെ അതിരിലേക്ക് ആനയിച്ചു, അവിടത്തെ വലതുകരം അധീനപ്പെടുത്തിയ മലനിരകളിലേക്കുതന്നെ.

And He bringeth them in unto the border of His sanctuary, This mountain His right hand had got,

55 അവരുടെമുമ്പിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ജനതകളെ അവിടന്ന് തുരത്തിയോടിച്ചു അവരുടെ ദേശത്തെ ഒരവകാശമായി അവർക്ക് അളന്നുകൊടുത്തു; ഇസ്രായേൽ ഗോത്രങ്ങൾക്ക് അവരുടെ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽ വാസമുറപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

And casteth out nations from before them, And causeth them to fall in the line of inheritance, And causeth the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents,

56 എങ്കിലും അവർ ദൈവത്തെ പരീക്ഷിച്ചു അത്യുന്നതനെതിരേ മത്സരിച്ചു; അവർ അവിടത്തെ നിയമവ്യവസ്ഥകൾ പിൻതുടർന്നതുമില്ല.

And they tempt and provoke God Most High, And His testimonies have not kept.

57 അവരുടെ പൂർവികരെപ്പോലെ അവർ വിശ്വാസഘാതകരായി പിന്തിരിഞ്ഞു കോട്ടമുള്ള വില്ലുപോലെ അവർ വഞ്ചകരായിത്തീർന്നു.

And they turn back, And deal treacherously like their fathers, They have been turned like a deceitful bow,

58 തങ്ങളുടെ ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് അവർ അവിടത്തെ പ്രകോപിപ്പിച്ചു; തങ്ങളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളാൽ അവർ അവിടത്തെ അസഹിഷ്ണുതയുള്ളവനാക്കി.

And make Him angry with their high places, And with their graven images make Him zealous,

59 ദൈവം ഇതു കേട്ടു, കോപംകൊണ്ടുനിറഞ്ഞു; ഇസ്രായേലിനെ നിശ്ശേഷം തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു.

God hath heard, and sheweth Himself wroth. And kicketh exceedingly against Israel.

60 അവിടന്ന് ശീലോവിലെ സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യരുടെയിടയിൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ച കൂടാരത്തെത്തന്നെ.

And He leaveth the tabernacle of Shiloh, The tent He had placed among men,

61 അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ ശക്തിയുടെ പ്രതീകമായ കൂടാരത്തെ പ്രവാസത്തിലേക്കും തന്റെ മഹത്ത്വത്തെ ശത്രുവിന്റെ കരങ്ങളിലേക്കും ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.

And He giveth His strength to captivity, And His beauty into the hand of an adversary,

62 സ്വജനത്തെ അവിടന്ന് വാൾത്തലയ്ക്ക് വിട്ടുകൊടുത്തു; അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ അവകാശത്തോട് രോഷാകുലനായി.

And delivereth up to the sword His people, And with His inheritance shewed Himself angry.

63 അവരുടെ യുവാക്കന്മാരെ അഗ്നി വിഴുങ്ങിക്കളഞ്ഞു, അവരുടെ യുവതികൾക്ക് വിവാഹഗീതങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായതുമില്ല;

His young men hath fire consumed, And His virgins have not been praised.

64 അവരുടെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ വാളിനിരയായി, അവരുടെ വിധവമാർക്കു വിലപിക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.

His priests by the sword have fallen, And their widows weep not.

65 അപ്പോൾ കർത്താവ് തന്റെ നിദ്രവിട്ടുണർന്നു, മദ്യലഹരിവിട്ട് ഒരു യോദ്ധാവ് ഉണരുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ.

And the Lord waketh as a sleeper, As a mighty one crying aloud from wine.

66 അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾക്ക് തിരിച്ചടിനൽകി; അവരെ എന്നെന്നേക്കുമായി ലജ്ജയിലേക്കു തള്ളിവിട്ടു.

And He smiteth His adversaries backward, A reproach age-during He hath put on them,

67 എന്നാൽ അവിടന്ന് യോസേഫിന്റെ കൂടാരത്തെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു, എഫ്രയീംഗോത്രത്തെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതുമില്ല;

And He kicketh against the tent of Joseph, And on the tribe of Ephraim hath not fixed.

68 എന്നാൽ അവിടന്ന് യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തെ, താൻ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്ന സീയോൻപർവതത്തെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.

And He chooseth the tribe of Judah, With mount Zion that He loved,

69 അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ തിരുനിവാസം അത്യുന്നതങ്ങളെപ്പോലെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചു, താൻ എന്നേക്കുമായി സ്ഥാപിച്ച ഭൂമിയെ എന്നപോലെതന്നെ.

And buildeth His sanctuary as a high place, Like the earth, He founded it to the age.

70 അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ ദാസനായ ദാവീദിനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു, ആട്ടിൻതൊഴുത്തിൽനിന്നുതന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ എടുത്തു;

And He fixeth on David His servant, And taketh him from the folds of a flock,

71 ആടുകളെ വളർത്തുന്നതിൽനിന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു, തന്റെ ജനമായ യാക്കോബിന്, തന്റെ അവകാശമായ ഇസ്രായേലിന് ഇടയനായിരിക്കുന്നതിനുവേണ്ടിത്തന്നെ.

From behind suckling ones He hath brought him in, To rule over Jacob His people, And over Israel His inheritance.

72 ഹൃദയപരമാർഥതയോടെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ മേയിച്ചു; കരവിരുതോടെ അദ്ദേഹം അവരെ നയിച്ചു.

And he ruleth them according to the integrity of his heart, And by the skilfulness of his hands leadeth them!
