സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 76

1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. തന്ത്രിനാദത്തോടെ. ആസാഫിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം; ഒരു ഗീതം. ദൈവം യെഹൂദയിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനാകുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ നാമം ഇസ്രായേലിൽ മഹോന്നതമാണ്.

“To the chief musician on Neginoth, a psalm or song of Assaph.” In Judah hath God been made known: in Israel is his name great.

2 അവിടത്തെ കൂടാരം ശാലേമിലും അവിടത്തെ നിവാസസ്ഥാനം സീയോനിലുമുണ്ട്.

And in Salem was his tabernacle made, and his dwelling-place in Zion.

3 അവിടെവെച്ച് അവിടന്ന് മിന്നിപ്പറക്കുന്ന അസ്ത്രങ്ങളും യുദ്ധായുധങ്ങളായ പരിചയും വാളും തകർത്തുകളഞ്ഞു. (സേലാ)

There broke he the shining arrows of the bow, shield, and sword, and battle. (Selah)

4 അവിടന്ന് പ്രഭാപൂരിതനാണ്, വേട്ടയാടപ്പെടുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങൾ നിറഞ്ഞ കൊടുമുടികളെക്കാൾ പ്രതാപവാൻതന്നെ.

Thou art more brilliant, more excellent than the mountains [full] of prey.

5 പരാക്രമികൾ കൊള്ളയടിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരായി നിലംപതിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, അവർ അന്തിമനിദ്രയിൽ ആണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു; പടയാളികളിൽ ആർക്കുംതന്നെ തങ്ങളുടെ കൈ ഉയർത്താൻ കഴിയാതെവന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

Bereft of reason are the stouthearted, they slumber their sleep: and none of the men of might have found [the use of] their hands.

6 യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, അവിടത്തെ ശാസനയാൽ, കുതിരകളും രഥങ്ങളും ഗാഢനിദ്രയിലാണ്ടുപോയി.

From thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, lie in deep sleep both chariot and horse.

7 ഭയപ്പെടുവാൻ യോഗ്യൻ അവിടന്നുമാത്രം. അവിടന്ന് കോപിക്കുമ്പോൾ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ ആർ നിവർന്നുനിൽക്കും?

Thou—thou art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thy anger [is kindled]?

8 ദൈവമേ, ദേശത്തിലെ പീഡിതരെയെല്ലാം രക്ഷിക്കാൻ സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് വിധി പ്രസ്താവിക്കാനായി

From heaven hast thou caused [thy] sentence to be heard: the earth feared, and became still,

9 അവിടന്ന് എഴുന്നേറ്റപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ ഭൂമി ഭയന്ന് സ്തംഭിച്ചുപോയി— (സേലാ)

When God rose to judgment, to save all the lowly of the earth. (Selah)

10 മാനവജാതിക്കെതിരേയുള്ള അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധം അങ്ങയുടെ മഹത്ത്വം വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, നിശ്ചയം, അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധം അതിജീവിക്കുന്നവർ സംയമികളായിത്തീരുന്നു.

For the fury of man shall praise thee: the remainder of the fury wilt thou gird about thee.

11 നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് നേർച്ചകൾ നേരുകയും അവ നിറവേറ്റുകയും ചെയ്യുക; അയൽദേശവാസികളായിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരും ഭയാർഹനായ അങ്ങേക്ക് കാഴ്ചകൾ കൊണ്ടുവരട്ടെ.

Make vows, and pay [them] unto the Lord your God, all ye that are round about him: let men bring presents unto him that exciteth fear.

12 അവിടന്ന് ഭരണാധികാരികളുടെ ആത്മാവിനെ തകർത്തുകളയുന്നു; ഭൂമിയിലെ രാജാക്കന്മാർ അവിടത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നു.

He will cut down the spirit of the powerful: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
