സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 59
1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. “നശിപ്പിക്കരുതേ” എന്ന രാഗത്തിൽ. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സ്വർണഗീതം. അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വധിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ശൗൽ അയച്ച ചാരന്മാർ വീട് നിരീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നകാലത്തു ചമച്ചത്. ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കണമേ; എന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നവരിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ സംരക്ഷിക്കണമേ.
To the chief Musician, Al-taschith, Michtam of David; when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
2 അധർമികളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ വിടുവിക്കണമേ രക്തദാഹികളായ ഈ മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ.
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
3 ഇതാ, അവർ എപ്രകാരമാണ് എനിക്കായി പതിയിരിക്കുന്നത് എന്നു നോക്കിയാലും! നിഷ്ഠുരമനുഷ്യർ എനിക്കെതിരേ തന്ത്രങ്ങൾ മെനയുന്നു യഹോവേ, എന്നിൽ ഒരു കുറ്റവും പാപവും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കെത്തന്നെ.
For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not [for] my transgression, nor [for] my sin, O LORD.
4 ഞാൻ ഒരുതെറ്റും ചെയ്തിട്ടില്ല, എന്നിട്ടും എന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കാൻ അവർ തയ്യാറായിരിക്കുന്നു. എന്നെ സഹായിക്കാൻ എഴുന്നേൽക്കണമേ; എന്റെ അപകടനില ദർശിക്കണമേ!
They run and prepare themselves without [my] fault: awake to help me, and behold.
5 സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമേ, സകലരാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെയും ശിക്ഷിക്കേണ്ടതിന് അവിടന്ന് ഉണർന്നെഴുന്നേൽക്കണമേ; ദുഷ്ടരായ രാജ്യദ്രോഹികളോട് യാതൊരു കരുണയും കാണിക്കരുതേ. (സേലാ)
Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. (Selah)
6 സന്ധ്യക്ക് അവർ മടങ്ങിവരുന്നു, നായ്ക്കളെപ്പോലെ മുരണ്ടുകൊണ്ടവർ നഗരത്തിനുചുറ്റും ഇരതേടി ചുറ്റിത്തിരിയുന്നു.
They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
7 അവരുടെ വായിൽനിന്നു പുറന്തള്ളുന്നത് എന്തെന്ന് ശ്രദ്ധിക്കണമേ— അവരുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നുള്ള വാക്കുകൾ വാളുകൾപോലെ മൂർച്ചയുള്ളതാണ്, “ആരുണ്ട് കേൾക്കാൻ?” എന്ന് അവർ ചിന്തിക്കുന്നു.
Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords [are] in their lips: for who, [say they], doth hear?
8 എന്നാൽ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് അവരെ നോക്കി ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളെയെല്ലാം അവിടന്ന് പരിഹസിക്കുന്നു.
But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
9 അവിടന്നാണ് എന്റെ ശക്തി, ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവമേ, അവിടന്നാണെന്റെ അഭയസ്ഥാനം,
[Because of] his strength will I wait upon thee: for God [is] my defence.
10 എന്റെ ദൈവം അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്താൽ എനിക്കൊപ്പം നിൽക്കും. എനിക്കെതിരേ അപവാദം പറയുന്നവരുടെമേലുള്ള വിജയംകണ്ടു സന്തോഷിക്കാൻ അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ അനുവദിക്കും.
The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see [my desire] upon mine enemies.
11 ഞങ്ങളുടെ പരിചയായ കർത്താവേ, അവരെ കൊന്നുകളയരുതേ, അങ്ങനെയായാൽ എന്റെ ജനം അതു വിസ്മരിക്കുമല്ലോ. അവിടത്തെ ശക്തിയാൽ അവരെ വേരോടെ പിഴുതെടുത്ത് പരാജയപ്പെടുത്തണമേ.
Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
12 അവർ അവരുടെ അഹങ്കാരത്തിൽ പിടിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ; അവരുടെ വായിലെ പാപങ്ങളാലും അവരുടെ അധരങ്ങളിലെ വാക്കുകളാലുംതന്നെ. അവർ ഉരുവിടുന്ന ശാപവാക്കുകൾനിമിത്തവും കാപട്യംനിറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകൾനിമിത്തവും,
[For] the sin of their mouth [and] the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying [which] they speak.
13 അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധാഗ്നിയിൽ അവരെ ഭസ്മീകരിക്കണമേ അവർ നിശ്ശൂന്യമാകുംവരെ അവരെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കണമേ. അപ്പോൾ ദൈവമാണ് ഇസ്രായേലിൽ വാഴുന്നതെന്ന് അഖിലാണ്ഡത്തിന്റെ അതിർത്തികളിലെല്ലാം അറിയപ്പെടും. (സേലാ)
Consume [them] in wrath, consume [them], that they [may] not [be: ] and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. (Selah)
14 സന്ധ്യക്ക് അവർ മടങ്ങിവരുന്നു, നായ്ക്കളെപ്പോലെ മുരണ്ടുകൊണ്ടവർ നഗരത്തിനുചുറ്റും ഇരതേടി ചുറ്റിത്തിരിയുന്നു.
And at evening let them return; [and] let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
15 ഭക്ഷണത്തിനായവർ അലഞ്ഞുനടക്കുന്നു തൃപ്തിയായില്ലെങ്കിൽ ഓരിയിടുന്നു.
Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.
16 എന്നാൽ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ ബലത്തെപ്പറ്റി ഗാനമാലപിക്കും, പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തെപ്പറ്റി പാടും; കാരണം അവിടന്നാണെന്റെ അഭയസ്ഥാനം, കഷ്ടകാലത്ത് എന്റെ സങ്കേതവും അവിടന്ന് ആകുന്നു.
But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
17 എനിക്ക് ആശ്രയയോഗ്യനായ എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, അവിടന്നാണ് എന്റെ ശക്തി, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വാഴ്ത്തിപ്പാടും; ദൈവമേ, അവിടന്നാണെന്റെ അഭയസ്ഥാനം.
Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God [is] my defence, [and] the God of my mercy.
