സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 58
1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. “നശിപ്പിക്കരുതേ” എന്ന രാഗത്തിൽ. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സ്വർണഗീതം. ഭരണാധിപരേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഷണം നീതിയുക്തമാണോ? നിങ്ങൾ ജനത്തെ മുഖപക്ഷമില്ലാതെയാണോ വിധിക്കുന്നത്?
To the Chief Musician. "Do not Destroy." A precious Psalm, of David. Are ye, indeed, silent [when] righteousness, ye should speak? When, with equity, ye should judge, O ye sons of men?
2 അല്ല! നിങ്ങൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അനീതി രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കരങ്ങൾ ഭൂമിയിൽ അക്രമം അഴിച്ചുവിടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
Aye! ye all do work, perversity, —Throughout the land, your hands, weigh out, violence!
3 ദുഷ്ടർ അവരുടെ ജന്മദിനംമുതൽതന്നെ വഴിപിഴച്ചുപോകുന്നു; ജനനംമുതൽതന്നെ വ്യാജംപറഞ്ഞ് അപഥസഞ്ചാരികളുമായിരിക്കുന്നു.
Lawless men have been estranged from birth, They have gone astray from their nativity, speaking falsehood;
4 അവർക്കു സർപ്പസമാനമായ വിഷമുണ്ട്, അവർ ചെവിയടഞ്ഞ മൂർഖനെപ്പോലെ ബധിരരാണ്,
Their poison, is like unto the poison of a serpent, Like the deaf adder, that stoppeth his ear;
5 അത് പാമ്പാട്ടിയുടെ മകുടിക്കനുസരിച്ച് ആടുകയില്ല, അതിവിദഗ്ദ്ധരായ മാന്ത്രികരുടെ സ്വരം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.
That will not hearken to the voice of whisperers, Though the wise one try to bind him with spells.
6 ദൈവമേ, അവരുടെ വായിലെ പല്ല് തകർക്കണമേ; യഹോവേ, ആ സിംഹങ്ങളുടെ താടിയെല്ലുകൾ പറിച്ചുകളയണമേ!
O God! break away their teeth in their mouth, The biters of the young lions, knock thou out, O Yahweh!
7 ഒഴുകിപ്പായുന്ന വെള്ളംപോലെ അവർ ഇല്ലാതെയാകട്ടെ; അവർ വില്ലുകുലച്ച് അസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ തൊടുത്തുവിടുമ്പോൾ, അവ ലക്ഷ്യം കാണാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
Let such men flow away like waters that disperse themselves: He prepareth his arrow, Like [grass] let them be cut down:
8 ഇഴഞ്ഞുനീങ്ങുമ്പോൾ അലിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്ന ഒച്ചുപോലെ അവർ ഇല്ലാതെയാകട്ടെ, ചാപിള്ളപോലെ അവർ ഒരിക്കലും സൂര്യപ്രകാശം കാണാത്തവരായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
Like a snail, which melteth away as it goeth, An untimely birth of a woman, which hath not seen the sun:
9 നിങ്ങളുടെ കലങ്ങൾക്കടിയിൽ മുള്ളുകൾ കത്തിയെരിയുന്ന—അവ പച്ചയോ ഉണങ്ങിയതോ ആയിക്കൊള്ളട്ടെ—ചൂടുതട്ടുന്നതിനുമുമ്പുതന്നെ ദുഷ്ടർ തൂത്തെറിയപ്പെടും.
Before your kettles can perceive the [kindled] bramble, Be he green or be he withered, he shall be swept away.
10 അനീതിപ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരുടെമേൽ പ്രതികാരം നടത്തുമ്പോൾ നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ ആനന്ദിക്കും, അവർ അവരുടെ കാൽ ദുഷ്ടരുടെ രക്തത്തിൽ കഴുകുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ.
The righteous man will rejoice when he hath seen an avenging, His feet, will he bathe in the blood of the lawless one: —
11 അപ്പോൾ ജനം പറയും: “നീതിനിഷ്ഠർക്ക് പ്രതിഫലമുണ്ട്, നിശ്ചയം; ഭൂമിയിൽ ന്യായവിധി നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന ഒരു ദൈവവുമുണ്ട്, നിശ്ചയം.”
So that a son of earth may say—Surely there is fruit for the righteous man! Surely there are gods who judge in the earth!
