സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 48

1 ഒരു ഗീതം. കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ, അവിടത്തെ വിശുദ്ധപർവതത്തിൽ, യഹോവ ഉന്നതനും അത്യന്തം സ്തുത്യനും ആകുന്നു.

“A song and psalm by the sons of Korach.” Great is the Lord, and highly praised in the city of our God, [in] his holy mountain.

2 മഹാരാജാവിന്റെ നഗരമായി സാഫോൺ ഗിരിപോലെയുള്ള സീയോൻപർവതം ഔന്നത്യംകൊണ്ട് മനോഹരവും സർവഭൂമിയുടെ ആനന്ദവും ആകുന്നു.

A beautiful district, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, the farthest north, the city of the great King.

3 അവളിലെ കോട്ടകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ ദൈവമുണ്ട്; അവൾക്കൊരു അഭയസ്ഥാനമായി അവിടന്ന് സ്വയം വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

God is become known in her palaces as a defence.

4 ഇതാ, രാജാക്കന്മാർ സൈന്യസമേതം ഒത്തുചേർന്നു അവർ ഒത്തൊരുമിച്ചു മുന്നേറി,

For, lo, the kings were assembled, they are passed away together.

5 അവർ അവളെ നോക്കി അമ്പരപ്പോടെ നിന്നുപോയി സംഭീതരായവർ പലായനംചെയ്തു.

They indeed saw—[and] so they were astonished; they were terrified, they were confounded.

6 അവർക്കൊരു വിറയൽ ബാധിച്ചു പ്രസവവേദന അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന സ്ത്രീയെപ്പോലെ കഠിനവേദന അവർക്കുണ്ടായി.

Trembling seized on them there, pain, as on a woman in travail.

7 കിഴക്കൻകാറ്റിനാൽ തകർക്കപ്പെടുന്ന തർശീശ് കപ്പലുകളെപ്പോലെ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നശിപ്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.

With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tharshish.

8 ഞങ്ങൾ കേട്ടതുപോലെതന്നെ ഞങ്ങൾ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവയുടെ നഗരത്തിൽ, നമ്മുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽത്തന്നെ: ദൈവം എന്നേക്കും അവളെ സുരക്ഷിതയാക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)

As we have heard, so have we seen [it] in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)

9 ദൈവമേ, അവിടത്തെ ആലയത്തിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയുടെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തെപ്പറ്റി ധ്യാനിക്കുന്നു.

We have reflected on thy kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.

10 ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങയുടെ നാമംപോലെതന്നെ, അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതികൾ ഭൂസീമകളോളം അലയടിക്കുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ വലതുകരത്തിൽ നീതി നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.

As thy name is, O God, so is thy praise over the ends of the earth: of righteousness is thy right hand full.

11 അവിടത്തെ ന്യായവിധികൾനിമിത്തം സീയോൻപർവതം ആനന്ദിക്കുകയും യെഹൂദാപട്ടണങ്ങൾ ആഹ്ലാദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.

12 സീയോനുചുറ്റും നടക്കുക, അവൾക്കുചുറ്റും പ്രദക്ഷിണംചെയ്യുക, അവളുടെ ഗോപുരങ്ങൾ എണ്ണുക,

Compass Zion about, and walk round about her; number her towers.

13 അവളുടെ പ്രതിരോധസന്നാഹം സസൂക്ഷ്മം നിരീക്ഷിക്കുക അവളുടെ കോട്ടമതിലുകൾ സൂക്ഷിച്ചുനോക്കുക, വരുംതലമുറയോട് അവളെക്കുറിച്ചു പറയേണ്ടതിനുതന്നെ.

Direct your mind to her outer wall, mark carefully her palaces: in order that ye may tell it to the latest generation.

14 കാരണം ഈ ദൈവം ഇന്നുമെന്നേക്കും നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ആകുന്നു; അന്ത്യംവരെയും അവിടന്നായിരിക്കും നമ്മുടെ മാർഗദർശി.

For this One is God, our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
