1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. “സാരസരാഗത്തിൽ.” കോരഹ് പുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഒരു ധ്യാനസങ്കീർത്തനം. ഒരു വിവാഹഗീതം. എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ശുഭചിന്തയാൽ നിറഞ്ഞുകവിയുന്നു രാജാവിനുവേണ്ടി എന്റെ കൃതി ഞാൻ ആലപിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ നാവ് നിപുണനായ എഴുത്തുകാരന്റെ തൂലികയാണ്.

For the end, for alternate [strains] by the sons of Core; for instruction, a Song concerning the beloved. My heart has uttered a good matter: I declare my works to the king: my tongue is the pen of a quick writer.

2 അങ്ങ് മാനവകുലജാതരിൽ അതിസുന്ദരൻ ലാവണ്യം അങ്ങയുടെ അധരപുടങ്ങളിൽ പകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു, കാരണം ദൈവം അങ്ങയെ എന്നെന്നേക്കുമായി അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചല്ലോ.

Thou art more beautiful than the sons of men: grace has been shed forth on thy lips: therefore God has blessed thee for ever.

3 വീരനായ യോദ്ധാവേ, അങ്ങയുടെ വാൾ അരയ്ക്കുകെട്ടുക; പ്രതാപവും മഹത്ത്വവും അങ്ങ് അണിഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളുക.

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O Mighty One, in thy comeliness, and in thy beauty;

4 സത്യത്തിനും സൗമ്യതയ്ക്കും നീതിക്കുംവേണ്ടി അവിടത്തെ പ്രതാപത്തിൽ വിജയത്തോടെ മുന്നേറുക; അവിടത്തെ വലതുകരം വിസ്മയാവഹമായ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ഉപദേശിക്കട്ടെ.

and bend [thy bow], and prosper, and reign, because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall guide thee wonderfully.

5 അവിടത്തെ കൂരമ്പുകൾ രാജവിരോധികളുടെ നെഞ്ചകം തകർക്കട്ടെ; രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയുടെ കാൽപ്പാദങ്ങൾക്കടിയിൽ നിലംപതിക്കട്ടെ.

Thy weapons are sharpened, Mighty One, (the nations shall fall under thee) [they are] in the heart of the king's enemies.

6 ദൈവമേ, അവിടത്തെ സിംഹാസനം എന്നെന്നേക്കും നിലനിൽക്കും; അങ്ങയുടെ രാജ്യത്തിൻ ചെങ്കോൽ നീതിയുള്ള ചെങ്കോൽ ആയിരിക്കും.

Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness.

7 അവിടന്ന് നീതിയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുകയും ദുഷ്ടതയെ വെറുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ദൈവം, ദൈവം ആനന്ദതൈലംകൊണ്ട് അങ്ങയെ അഭിഷേകംചെയ്ത് അങ്ങയുടെ സഹകാരികളെക്കാൾ ഏറ്റവും ഉന്നതമായ സ്ഥാനം അങ്ങേക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity: therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with the oil of gladness beyond thy fellows.

8 അങ്ങയുടെ ഉടയാടകൾ മീറയും ചന്ദനവും ലവംഗവുംകൊണ്ട് പരിമളപൂരിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ദന്താലംകൃതമായ മണിമന്ദിരത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള തന്ത്രിനാദസംഗീതം അങ്ങയെ ആനന്ദചിത്തനാക്കുന്നു.

Myrrh, and stacte, and cassia [are exhaled] from thy garments, [and] out of the ivory palaces,

9 അന്തഃപുരനാരികളിൽ രാജകുമാരികളുണ്ട്; അങ്ങയുടെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് ഓഫീർതങ്കത്താൽ അലംകൃതയായ രാജകുമാരി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു.

with which kings' daughters have gladdened thee for thine honour: the queen stood by on thy right hand, clothed in vesture wrought with gold, [and] arrayed in divers colours.

10 അല്ലയോ കുമാരീ, കേൾക്കൂ, ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ ചെവിചായ്‌ക്കൂ: നിന്റെ സ്വജനത്തെയും നിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തെയും മറക്കൂ.

Hear, O daughter, and see, and incline thine ear; forget also thy people, and thy father's house.

11 അപ്പോൾ രാജാവ് നിന്റെ സൗന്ദര്യത്തിൽ ആകൃഷ്ടനായിത്തീരട്ടെ; അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചുകൊൾക, അദ്ദേഹം നിന്റെ നാഥനല്ലോ.

Because the king has desired thy beauty; for he is thy Lord.

12 സോരിലെ രാജകുമാരി നിനക്കൊരുപഹാരവുമായി കടന്നുവരും, ധനികർ നിന്റെ പ്രീതിയാർജിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കും.

And the daughter of Tyre shall adore him with gifts; the rich of the people of the land shall supplicate thy favour.

13 രാജകുമാരി അവളുടെ അന്തപുരത്തിൽ ശോഭാപരിപൂർണയായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവളുടെ ഉടയാടകൾ തങ്കക്കസവുകളാൽ നെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

All her glory [is that] of the daughter of the king of Esebon, robed [as she is] in golden fringed garments,

14 ചിത്രത്തയ്യലുള്ള നിലയങ്കി ധരിച്ചവളായി അവൾ രാജസന്നിധിയിലേക്ക് ആനയിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; കന്യാമണികളാം തോഴികൾ അവൾക്ക് അകമ്പടിനിൽക്കുന്നു. അവരും അവളോടൊപ്പം വന്നുചേരും.

in embroidered [clothing]: virgins shall be brought to the king after her: her fellows shall be brought to thee.

15 ആനന്ദത്തോടും ആഹ്ലാദത്തോടും അവർ ആനയിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു, അവർ രാജകൊട്ടാരത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു.

They shall be brought with gladness and exultation: they shall be led into the king's temple.

16 അവിടത്തെ പുത്രന്മാർ അങ്ങയുടെ അനന്തരാവകാശികളായി അവരോധിക്കപ്പെടും; അങ്ങ് അവരെ ഭൂമിയിലെങ്ങും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരായി വാഴിക്കും.

Instead of thy fathers children are born to thee: thou shalt make them princes over all the earth.

17 ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ സ്മരണ എല്ലാ തലമുറകളിലും നിലനിർത്തും തന്മൂലം രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ അങ്ങയെ എന്നെന്നേക്കും വാഴ്ത്തും.

They shall make mention of thy name from generation to generation: therefore shall the nations give thanks to thee for ever, even for ever and ever.
