സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 41

1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദരിദ്രരോട് കരുതലുള്ളവർ അനുഗൃഹീതർ; അനർഥകാലത്ത് യഹോവ അവരെ വിടുവിക്കും

For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. Blessed is the one who cares for the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of trouble.

2 യഹോവ അവരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും കാത്തുപാലിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും— അവർ ദേശത്ത് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിലാകും— അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ഇംഗിതത്തിനവരെ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുകയില്ല.

The LORD will protect and preserve him; He will bless him in the land and refuse to surrender him to the will of his foes.

3 അവരുടെ രോഗക്കിടക്കയിൽ യഹോവ അവരെ പരിചരിക്കും അവരുടെ രോഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവർക്കു സൗഖ്യംനൽകും.

The LORD will sustain him on his bed of illness and restore him from his bed of sickness.

4 “യഹോവേ, എന്നോടു കരുണതോന്നണമേ, എന്നെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കണമേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്കെതിരേ പാപംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു,” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

I said, “O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against You.”

5 എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ എന്നെപ്പറ്റി ദോഷകരമായ വാർത്ത പ്രചരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു, “അവൻ എപ്പോൾ മരിക്കും, എപ്പോൾ അവന്റെ നാമം മൺമറയും?” എന്ന് അവർ ചോദിക്കുന്നു.

My enemies say with malice: “When will he die and be forgotten?”

6 അവരിലൊരാൾ എന്നെ സന്ദർശിക്കാൻ വരുമ്പോൾ, ഹൃദയത്തിൽ അപവാദം സംഗ്രഹിക്കുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ സ്നേഹിതനെപ്പോലെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; പിന്നീട് അവർ പുറത്തുചെന്ന് നാടുനീളെ അപവാദം പരത്തുന്നു.

My visitor speaks falsehood; he gathers slander in his heart; he goes out and spreads it abroad.

7 എന്റെ എല്ലാ ശത്രുക്കളും എനിക്കെതിരേ പരസ്പരം മന്ത്രിക്കുന്നു; എനിക്ക് അത്യന്തം ഹാനികരമായതു വന്നുഭവിക്കണമെന്നവർ വിഭാവനചെയ്യുന്നു.

All who hate me whisper against me; they imagine the worst for me:

8 അവർ പറയുന്നു, “ഒരു മാരകവ്യാധി അവനെ പിടികൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇനിയവൻ ഈ കിടക്കവിട്ട് എഴുന്നേൽക്കുകയില്ല.”

“A vile disease has been poured into him; he will never get up from where he lies!”

9 എന്റെ ആത്മസഖി, ഞാൻ വിശ്വാസം അർപ്പിച്ച എന്റെ സുഹൃത്ത്, എന്നോടുകൂടെ അപ്പം പങ്കിടുന്നവൻ എനിക്കെതിരേ കുതികാൽ ഉയർത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Even my close friend whom I trusted, the one who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

10 എന്നാൽ എന്റെ യഹോവേ, എന്നോട് കരുണയുണ്ടാകണമേ, അവരോട് പകരംചോദിക്കാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ ഉദ്ധരിക്കണമേ.

But You, O LORD, be gracious to me and raise me up, that I may repay them.

11 എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കൾ എന്റെമേൽ ജയഘോഷം നടത്താതിരിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ അങ്ങെന്നിൽ സംപ്രീതനായിരിക്കുന്നെന്ന് ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.

By this I know that You delight in me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.

12 എന്റെ പരമാർഥതയാൽ അവിടന്നെന്നെ താങ്ങിനിർത്തുകയും തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ എന്നെ നിത്യം നിർത്തുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.

In my integrity You uphold me and set me in Your presence forever.

13 ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടട്ടെ, എന്നും എന്നെന്നേക്കും.

Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
