സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 28

1 ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ പാറയായ അങ്ങ്, അവിടത്തെ കാതുകൾ എന്റെമുമ്പിൽ കൊട്ടിയടയ്ക്കരുതേ. അവിടന്ന് മൗനം അവലംബിച്ചാൽ, കുഴിയിൽ വെക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ആയിത്തീരും.

By David. Unto Thee, O Jehovah, I call, My rock, be not silent to me! Lest Thou be silent to me, And I have been compared With those going down to the pit.

2 അവിടത്തെ അതിവിശുദ്ധ സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് ഞാൻ എന്റെ കരങ്ങൾ ഉയർത്തുമ്പോൾ, സഹായത്തിനായി ഞാൻ വിളിക്കുമ്പോൾത്തന്നെ കരുണയ്ക്കായുള്ള എന്റെ വിലാപം കേൾക്കണമേ.

Hear the voice of my supplications, In my crying unto Thee, In my lifting up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

3 അധർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരോടും ദുഷ്ടരോടുമൊപ്പം എന്നെ വലിച്ചിഴയ്ക്കരുതേ, അവർ അയൽവാസികളോട് സൗഹൃദത്തോടെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു എന്നാൽ, ഹൃദയത്തിലവർ ദോഷം ആസൂത്രണംചെയ്യുന്നു.

Draw me not with the wicked, And with workers of iniquity, Speaking peace with their neighbours, And evil in their heart.

4 അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും ദ്രോഹകർമങ്ങൾക്കും യോഗ്യമായത് അവർക്കു നൽകണമേ; അവരുടെ കൈകളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്ക് അവരർഹിക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഫലംതന്നെ നൽകണമേ.

Give to them according to their acting, And according to the evil of their doings. According to the work of their hands give to them. Return their deed to them.

5 കാരണം അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ആദരിക്കുന്നില്ല അവിടത്തെ കരവേലയോടും അങ്ങനെതന്നെ, അവിടന്ന് അവരെ ഇടിച്ചുനിരത്തും, പിന്നീടൊരിക്കലും പുനർനിർമിക്കുകയില്ല.

For they attend not to the doing of Jehovah, And unto the work of His hands. He throweth them down, And doth not build them up.

6 യഹോവ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടട്ടെ, കരുണയ്ക്കായുള്ള എന്റെ യാചന അവിടന്ന് കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ.

Blessed [is] Jehovah, For He hath heard the voice of my supplications.

7 യഹോവ എന്റെ ബലവും എന്റെ പരിചയും ആകുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം അങ്ങയിൽ ആശ്രയിക്കുകയും അവിടന്നെന്നെ സഹായിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു. എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ആനന്ദാതിരേകത്താൽ തുള്ളിച്ചാടുന്നു, എന്നിൽനിന്നുയരുന്ന സംഗീതത്തോടെ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കും.

Jehovah [is] my strength, and my shield, In Him my heart trusted, and I have been helped. And my heart exulteth, And with my song I thank Him.

8 യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയാകുന്നു, തന്റെ അഭിഷിക്തന് രക്ഷനൽകുന്ന ഉറപ്പുള്ള കോട്ടയും ആകുന്നു.

Jehovah [is] strength to him, Yea, the strength of the salvation of His anointed [is] He.

9 അങ്ങയുടെ ജനത്തെ രക്ഷിക്കുകയും അവിടത്തെ അവകാശത്തെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണമേ; അവർക്ക് ഇടയനായിരുന്ന് എപ്പോഴും അവരെ കരങ്ങളിൽ വഹിക്കണമേ.

Save Thy people, and bless Thine inheritance, And feed them, and carry them to the age!
