സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 143
1 ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, എന്റെ പ്രാർഥന കേൾക്കണമേ, കരുണയ്ക്കായുള്ള എന്റെ നിലവിളി കേൾക്കണമേ; അങ്ങയുടെ വിശ്വസ്തതയും നീതിയുംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ ആശ്വാസത്തിനായി വരണമേ.
“A psalm of David.” O Lord, hear my prayer, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, in thy righteousness.
2 തിരുമുമ്പിൽ നീതിനിഷ്ഠരായി ജീവിക്കുന്ന ആരുമില്ലല്ലോ, അതുകൊണ്ട് അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസനെ വിചാരണയ്ക്കായി കൊണ്ടുവരരുതേ.
And enter not into judgment with thy servant; for no living man can be regarded righteous before thee.
3 ശത്രു എന്നെ പിൻതുടരുന്നു, അയാളെന്നെ നിലത്തിട്ടു മെതിക്കുന്നു; പണ്ടേ മരിച്ചവരെപ്പോലെ അയാളെന്നെ ഇരുളിൽ പാർപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
For the enemy hath pursued my soul; he hath crushed to the ground my life; he hath made me dwell in darkness, as those that are dead eternally.
4 അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്റെ ആത്മാവ് എന്റെയുള്ളിൽ തളരുന്നു; എന്റെ ഹൃദയം എന്റെയുള്ളിൽ സ്തംഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
And my spirit within me is overwhelmed: in my bosom is my heart astounded.
5 പൂർവകാലങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ സകലവിധ പ്രവൃത്തികളെയും ഞാൻ ധ്യാനിക്കുകയും തൃക്കരങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.
I remember the days of olden times: I meditate on all thy doings: on the work of thy hands do I reflect.
6 ഞാൻ എന്റെ കൈകൾ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ വിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉണങ്ങിവരണ്ട നിലംപോലെ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തേക്കായി ദാഹിക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)
I spread forth my hands unto thee: my soul [longeth] for thee, as a thirsty land. (Selah)
7 യഹോവേ, വേഗത്തിൽ എനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളണമേ; എന്റെ ആത്മാവ് തളർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങയുടെ മുഖം എന്നിൽനിന്നും മറയ്ക്കരുതേ അങ്ങനെയായാൽ ഞാൻ ശവക്കുഴിയിലേക്കു നിപതിക്കുന്നവരെപ്പോലെയാകും.
Hasten, answer me, O Lord, my spirit falleth: hide not thy face from me, that I may not become like those that go down into the pit.
8 പ്രഭാതം അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള കേൾവിനൽകട്ടെ, കാരണം എന്റെ ആശ്രയം അങ്ങയിൽ ഞാൻ അർപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഞാൻ പോകേണ്ടുന്ന വഴി എനിക്കു കാണിച്ചുതരണമേ, കാരണം എന്റെ ജീവൻ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
Cause me to hear in the morning thy kindness; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way whereon I should walk; for unto thee do I lift up my soul.
9 യഹോവേ, എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ മോചിപ്പിക്കണമേ, കാരണം എന്റെ സംരക്ഷണത്തിനായി ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ അടുത്തേക്കോടുന്നു.
Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies: by thee do I seek shelter.
10 തിരുഹിതംചെയ്യാൻ എന്നെ പഠിപ്പിക്കണമേ, കാരണം അവിടന്ന് ആകുന്നു എന്റെ ദൈവം; അങ്ങയുടെ നല്ല ആത്മാവ് നീതിപഥത്തിൽ എന്നെ നടത്തട്ടെ.
Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; guide me on a level land.
11 യഹോവേ, തിരുനാമത്തെപ്രതി എന്റെ ജീവൻ സംരക്ഷിക്കണമേ; അവിടത്തെ നീതിയാൽ കഷ്ടതയിൽനിന്നുമെന്നെ വിടുവിക്കണമേ.
For thy sake, O Lord, revive me: in thy righteousness bring forth out of distress my soul.
12 അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്താൽ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിശ്ശബ്ദരാക്കണമേ; എന്റെ എതിരാളികളെയെല്ലാം നശിപ്പിക്കണമേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ സേവകനാണല്ലോ.
And in thy kindness destroy my enemies, and annihilate all the adversaries of my soul; far I am thy servant.
