1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, അധർമം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ മോചിപ്പിക്കണമേ; അക്രമികളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ സംരക്ഷിക്കണമേ,
To the Chief Musician. A Melody of David. Rescue me, O Yahweh, from the men of mischief, From the men of violence, wilt thou preserve me:
2 അവർ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ദുഷ്ടതന്ത്രങ്ങൾ ആവിഷ്കരിക്കുകയും നിരന്തരം കലഹം ഇളക്കിവിടുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.
Who have devised mischiefs in their [heart], Every day, do they stir up wars:
3 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ നാവ് സർപ്പത്തിന്റേതുപോലെ മൂർച്ചയുള്ളതാക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽ അണലിവിഷമുണ്ട്. (സേലാ)
They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent, —The poison of the asp, is under their lips. (Selah)
4 യഹോവേ, ദുഷ്ടരുടെ കൈകളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ സൂക്ഷിക്കണമേ; എന്റെ കാലുകൾ കുരുക്കിൽപ്പെടുത്താൻ പദ്ധതിയിടുന്ന അക്രമികളിൽനിന്ന് എന്നെ സംരക്ഷിക്കണമേ.
Keep me, O Yahweh, from the hands of the lawless one, From the man of violence, wilt thou preserve me, —who have devised, to thrust at my steps:
5 അഹങ്കാരികൾ എനിക്കൊരു കെണി ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ ഒരു വല വിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്റെ പാതയോരത്ത് എനിക്കായി ഒരു കുടുക്ക് ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. (സേലാ)
The proud have hidden a snare for me, and, cords, have they spread as a net beside the track, Snares, have they set for me. (Selah)
6 “അവിടന്ന് ആകുന്നു എന്റെ ദൈവം,” എന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവയോട് പറഞ്ഞു. യഹോവേ, കരുണയ്ക്കായുള്ള എന്റെ നിലവിളി കേൾക്കണമേ.
I have said unto Yahweh, My GOD, thou art! Give ear, O Yahweh, unto the voice of my supplications.
7 കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, ശക്തനായ രക്ഷകാ, യുദ്ധദിവസത്തിൽ അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ശിരസ്സിൽ ഒരു കവചം അണിയിക്കുന്നു.
O Yahweh, My Lord, my saving strength, thou hast screened my head in the day of battle.
8 യഹോവേ, ദുഷ്ടരുടെ ആഗ്രഹം സാധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കരുതേ, അവരുടെ ആഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സഫലമാക്കരുതേ. (സേലാ)
Do not grant, O Yahweh, the desires of the lawless one, his device, do not promote, They would exalt themselves. (Selah)
9 എന്നെ വലയംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നവർ അഹങ്കാരത്തോടെ അവരുടെ ശിരസ്സുകൾ ഉയർത്തുന്നു; അവരുടെ അധരങ്ങളിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുന്ന തിന്മയാൽത്തന്നെ അവരെ മൂടിക്കളയണമേ.
As for the head of them who surround me, Let the mischief of their lips cover them:
10 അവരുടെമേൽ ജ്വലിക്കുന്ന കനലുകൾ പതിക്കട്ടെ; അഗ്നികൂപങ്ങളിലേക്ക് അവർ എറിയപ്പെടട്ടെ, ഒരിക്കലും കരകയറാനാകാത്തവിധം ചേറ്റുകുഴിയിലവർ നിപതിക്കട്ടെ.
May there be dropped on them live coals, —Into the fire, may they be let fall, into watery pits [from which] they shall not rise.
11 പരദൂഷണം പറയുന്നവർ ദേശത്ത് പ്രബലപ്പെടാതിരിക്കട്ടെ; അക്രമികളെ ദുരന്തങ്ങൾ വേട്ടയാടി നശിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ.
As for the slanderer, let him not be established in the earth, —As for the man of wrongful violence, let misfortune hunt him with thrust upon thrust.
12 യഹോവ പീഡിതർക്ക് ന്യായവും അഗതികൾക്ക് നീതിയും പരിപാലിക്കുമെന്ന് ഞാൻ അറിയുന്നു.
I know that Yahweh will execute, the right of the oppressed one, the vindication of the needy.
13 നീതിനിഷ്ഠർ അവിടത്തെ നാമത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തുകയും ഹൃദയപരമാർഥികൾ തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽ വസിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും, നിശ്ചയം.
Surely, the righteous, shall give thanks to thy Name, the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
