സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 139

1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, അവിടന്നെന്നെ പരിശോധിച്ചു, അവിടന്നെന്നെ അറിഞ്ഞുമിരിക്കുന്നു.

To him that excelleth. A Psalme of David. O Lord, thou hast tried me and knowen me.

2 ഞാൻ ഇരിക്കുന്നതും എഴുന്നേൽക്കുന്നതും അവിടന്ന് അറിയുന്നു; എന്റെ ചിന്തകളെ വിദൂരതയിൽനിന്നുതന്നെ അവിടന്ന് ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

Thou knowest my sitting and my rising: thou vnderstandest my thought afarre off.

3 എന്റെ നടപ്പും എന്റെ കിടപ്പും അങ്ങ് വേർതിരിച്ചറിയുന്നു; എന്റെ എല്ലാ മാർഗങ്ങളും അവിടത്തേക്ക് സുപരിചിതമാണ്.

Thou compassest my pathes, and my lying downe, and art accustomed to all my wayes.

4 ഞാൻ ഒരു വാക്ക് ഉച്ചരിക്കാൻ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിനു മുമ്പുതന്നെ യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് അതു പൂർണമായും ഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

For there is not a word in my tongue, but loe, thou knowest it wholy, O Lord.

5 അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ മുന്നിലും പിന്നിലുംനിന്ന് എനിക്കു സംരക്ഷണമേകുന്നു, അങ്ങയുടെ കരുതലിൻകരം എന്റെമേൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

Thou holdest mee straite behinde and before, and layest thine hand vpon me.

6 ഈ അറിവ് എനിക്ക് അത്യന്തം വിസ്മയാവഹമാണ്, അതെനിക്ക് എത്തിച്ചേരാവുന്നതിലും ഉന്നതമാണ്.

Thy knowledge is too wonderfull for mee: it is so high that I cannot attaine vnto it.

7 അവിടത്തെ ആത്മാവിനെവിട്ട് ഞാൻ എവിടെ പോകും? തിരുസന്നിധിയിൽനിന്നും ഞാൻ എവിടേക്കു പലായനംചെയ്യും?

Whither shall I goe from thy Spirite? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8 ഞാൻ സ്വർഗോന്നതങ്ങളിൽ കയറിച്ചെന്നാൽ അങ്ങ് അവിടെയുണ്ട്; ഞാൻ പാതാളത്തിൽ കിടക്കവിരിച്ചാൽ അങ്ങ് അവിടെയുമുണ്ട്. (Sheol h7585)

If I ascende into heauen, thou art there: if I lye downe in hell, thou art there. (Sheol h7585)

9 ഞാൻ ഉഷസ്സിൻ ചിറകിലേറി, ആഴിയുടെ അങ്ങേത്തീരത്തിലെത്തി വസിച്ചാൽ,

Let mee take the winges of the morning, and dwell in the vttermost parts of the sea:

10 അങ്ങയുടെ തിരുക്കരം അവിടെയും എനിക്കു വഴികാട്ടും, അവിടത്തെ വലതുകരമെന്നെ താങ്ങിനടത്തും.

Yet thither shall thine hand leade me, and thy right hand holde me.

11 “അന്ധകാരമെന്നെ ആവരണംചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്നും പ്രകാശം എനിക്കുചുറ്റും ഇരുൾപരത്തട്ടെ എന്നും,” ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞാൽ,

If I say, Yet the darkenes shall hide me, euen the night shalbe light about me.

12 ഇരുട്ടുപോലും അങ്ങേക്ക് ഇരുട്ടായിരിക്കുകയില്ല; രാത്രി പകൽപോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കും, കാരണം അന്ധകാരം അവിടത്തേക്ക് പ്രകാശംപോലെതന്നെ.

Yea, the darkenes hideth not from thee: but the night shineth as the day: the darkenes and light are both alike.

13 അവിടന്നാണെന്റെ അന്തരിന്ദ്രിയം രൂപകൽപ്പനചെയ്തത്; എന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ ഗർഭഗൃഹത്തിൽ എന്നെ കൂട്ടിയിണക്കിയതും അങ്ങുതന്നെയാണ്.

For thou hast possessed my reines: thou hast couered me in my mothers wombe.

14 സങ്കീർണവും വിസ്മയകരവുമായി അങ്ങ് എന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ആശ്ചര്യകരമാണ്, അതെനിക്കു നന്നായി അറിയാം.

I will praise thee, for I am fearefully and wonderously made: marueilous are thy workes, and my soule knoweth it well.

15 ഞാൻ നിഗൂഢതയിൽ ഉരുവാക്കപ്പെടുകയും ഭൂമിയുടെ അഗാധതകളിൽ മെനയപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്തപ്പോൾ, എന്റെ ആകാരം അങ്ങേക്ക് അജ്ഞാതമായിരുന്നില്ല.

My bones are not hid from thee, though I was made in a secret place, and facioned beneath in the earth.

16 എന്റെ ശരീരം രൂപപ്പെടുന്നതിനുമുമ്പുതന്നെ അവിടത്തെ കണ്ണ് എന്നെ കണ്ടു; എനിക്കു നിർണയിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന ദിനങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷാത്കരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതിനു മുമ്പേതന്നെ, അവയെല്ലാം അങ്ങയുടെ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തപ്പെട്ടു.

Thine eyes did see me, when I was without forme: for in thy booke were all things written, which in continuance were facioned, when there was none of them before.

17 ദൈവമേ, അവിടത്തെ വിചാരങ്ങൾ എനിക്ക് എത്രയോ അമൂല്യം! അവയുടെ ആകെത്തുക എത്ര വലുത്!

Howe deare therefore are thy thoughtes vnto me, O God! how great is ye summe of them!

18 ഞാൻ അവയെ എണ്ണിനോക്കിയാൽ അവ മണൽത്തരികളെക്കാൾ അധികം! ഞാനുണരുമ്പോൾ അങ്ങയോടൊപ്പംതന്നെയായിരിക്കും.

If I should count them, they are moe then the sand: when I wake, I am still with thee.

19 ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് ദുഷ്ടരെ സംഹരിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ നന്നായിരുന്നു! രക്തദാഹികളേ, എന്നെ വിട്ടകന്നുപോകൂ!

Oh that thou wouldest slay, O God, the wicked and bloody men, to whom I say, Depart ye from mee:

20 അവർ അങ്ങയെപ്പറ്റി ദുഷ്ടലാക്കോടുകൂടി സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ തിരുനാമം ശത്രുക്കൾ ദുർവിനിയോഗംചെയ്യുന്നു.

Which speake wickedly of thee, and being thine enemies are lifted vp in vaine.

21 യഹോവേ, അങ്ങയെ വെറുക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ വെറുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ? അങ്ങയോട് എതിർത്തുനിൽക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാൻ കഠിനമായി വെറുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലയോ?

Doe not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? and doe not I earnestly contend with those that rise vp against thee?

22 എനിക്കവരോട് പൂർണ വെറുപ്പുമാത്രമേയുള്ളൂ; ഞാൻ അവരെ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളായി പരിഗണിക്കുന്നു.

I hate them with an vnfained hatred, as they were mine vtter enemies.

23 ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ പരിശോധിച്ച് എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തെ അറിയണമേ; എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിച്ച് എന്റെ ആകാംക്ഷാഭരിതമായ വിചാരങ്ങൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കണമേ.

Try mee, O God, and knowe mine heart: prooue me and know my thoughtes,

24 ദോഷത്തിന്റെ മാർഗം എന്തെങ്കിലും എന്നിലുണ്ടോ എന്നുനോക്കി, ശാശ്വതമാർഗത്തിൽ എന്നെ നടത്തണമേ.

And consider if there be any way of wickednes in me, and leade me in the way for euer.
