1 ആരോഹണഗീതം. യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുകയും അവിടത്തോടുള്ള അനുസരണത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നവർ അനുഗൃഹീതർ.

A song of degrees. Blessed is euery one that feareth the Lord and walketh in his wayes.

2 നിങ്ങളുടെ അധ്വാനഫലം നിങ്ങൾ ഭക്ഷിക്കും; അനുഗ്രഹവും സമൃദ്ധിയും നിങ്ങൾക്ക് അവകാശമായിരിക്കും.

When thou eatest the labours of thine hands, thou shalt be blessed, and it shall be well with thee.

3 നിന്റെ ഭാര്യ നിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ ഫലദായകമായ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിപോലെ ആയിരിക്കും; നിന്റെ മക്കൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ മേശയ്ക്കുചുറ്റും ഒലിവുതൈകൾപോലെയായിരിക്കും.

Thy wife shalbe as the fruitfull vine on the sides of thine house, and thy children like the oliue plantes round about thy table.

4 യഹോവയെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്ന മനുഷ്യർ ഇപ്രകാരം അനുഗൃഹീതരാകും.

Lo, surely thus shall the man be blessed, that feareth the Lord.

5 യഹോവ സീയോനിൽനിന്നു നിന്നെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കും; നിന്റെ ജീവിതകാലത്തുടനീളം നിനക്കു ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധി കാണാനിടവരട്ടെ.

The Lord out of Zion shall blesse thee, and thou shalt see the wealth of Ierusalem all the dayes of thy life.

6 മക്കളുടെ മക്കളെ കാണാനായി നിന്റെ ആയുസ്സ് ദീർഘമായിരിക്കട്ടെ— ഇസ്രായേലിന്മേൽ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകുമാറാകട്ടെ.

Yea, thou shalt see thy childrens children, and peace vpon Israel.
