സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 12

1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. അഷ്ടമരാഗത്തിൽ. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ, സഹായിക്കണമേ, ദൈവഭക്തർ ഇല്ലാതെപോകുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തർ മനുഷ്യഗണത്തിൽനിന്നു മാഞ്ഞുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

For the choirmaster. According to Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Help, O LORD, for the godly are no more; the faithful have vanished from among men.

2 എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളുടെ അയൽവാസികളോട് കളവുപറയുന്നു; അവർ അധരങ്ങളിൽ മുഖസ്തുതിയും ഹൃദയത്തിൽ വഞ്ചനയുംവെച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.

They lie to one another; they speak with flattering lips and a double heart.

3 മുഖസ്തുതി പറയുന്ന എല്ലാ അധരങ്ങളും അഹന്തപൊഴിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ നാവും യഹോവ മുറിച്ചെറിയട്ടെ—

May the LORD cut off all flattering lips and every boastful tongue.

4 അവർ പറയുന്നു, “ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാവിനാൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ജയിക്കും; ഞങ്ങളുടെ അധരങ്ങൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു തുണ— ആരാണ് ഇനി ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ഭരണകർത്താവ്?”

They say, “With our tongues we will prevail. We own our lips—who can be our master?”

5 “പീഡിതരുടെ നാശവും ദരിദ്രരുടെ നെടുവീർപ്പും നിമിത്തം, ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ എഴുന്നേൽക്കും,” എന്ന് യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു. “അവരുടെ പീഡകരിൽനിന്ന് ഞാൻ അവരെ കാത്തുരക്ഷിക്കും.”

“For the cause of the oppressed and for the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says the LORD. “I will bring safety to him who yearns.”

6 യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങൾ കളങ്കരഹിതമാകുന്നു, കളിമണ്ണുലയിൽ ഏഴുപ്രാവശ്യം ഉരുക്കി, ശുദ്ധിചെയ്ത വെള്ളിപോലെയാണ്.

The words of the LORD are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace, like gold purified sevenfold.

7 യഹോവേ, അങ്ങ് പീഡിതരെ സുരക്ഷിതരാക്കും ദുഷ്ടരിൽനിന്ന് എന്നും അവരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കും,

You, O LORD, will keep us; You will forever guard us from this generation.

8 മനുഷ്യർക്കിടയിൽ നിന്ദ്യമായവ ആദരിക്കപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ ദുഷ്ടർ എല്ലായിടത്തും സ്വതന്ത്രരായി വിഹരിക്കുന്നു.

The wicked wander freely, and vileness is exalted among men.
