സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 116

1 അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ കേട്ടിരിക്കയാൽ, ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു; കരുണയ്ക്കായുള്ള എന്റെ യാചനയും അവിടന്ന് കേട്ടല്ലോ.

I love Jehovah, because he heareth My voice and my supplications.

2 അവിടത്തെ ചെവി എന്നിലേക്കു ചായ്ച്ചതുകൊണ്ട്, എന്റെ ജീവിതകാലമൊക്കെയും ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും.

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, Therefore will I call [upon him] as long as I live.

3 മരണപാശങ്ങൾ എന്നെ ചുറ്റി, പാതാളവേദനകൾ എന്നെ പിടികൂടി; കഷ്ടവും സങ്കടവും എനിക്കു നേരിട്ടു. (Sheol h7585)

The cords of death compassed me, And the pains of Sheol gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow. (Sheol h7585)

4 അപ്പോൾ “യഹോവേ, എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ!” എന്നു ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

Then called I upon the name of Jehovah: O Jehovah, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

5 യഹോവ കൃപയും നീതിയുമുള്ളവൻ ആകുന്നു; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവം ദയാപൂർണൻതന്നെ.

Gracious is Jehovah, and righteous; Yea, our God is merciful.

6 യഹോവ ലളിതമാനസരെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഞെരുക്കത്തിൽ ആയിരുന്നപ്പോൾ അവിടന്ന് എന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

Jehovah preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he saved me.

7 എൻ മനമേ, നിന്റെ സ്വസ്ഥതയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരിക; യഹോവ നിനക്ക് നല്ലവനായിരിക്കുന്നല്ലോ.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; For Jehovah hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8 യഹോവേ, അവിടന്ന് എന്റെ ജീവനെ മരണത്തിൽനിന്നും എന്റെ കണ്ണുകളെ കണ്ണുനീരിൽനിന്നും എന്റെ കാലുകളെ വീഴ്ചയിൽനിന്നും വിടുവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, Mine eyes from tears, [And] my feet from falling.

9 ഞാൻ ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്ത് യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ നടക്കേണ്ടതിനുതന്നെ.

I will walk before Jehovah In the land of the living.

10 ഞാൻ അങ്ങയിൽ വിശ്വസിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു, “ഞാൻ ഏറ്റവും പീഡിതൻ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു;”

I believe, for I will speak: I was greatly afflicted:

11 എന്റെ പരിഭ്രാന്തിയിൽ ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു, “എല്ലാ മനുഷ്യരും വ്യാജംപറയുന്നു.”

I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 യഹോവ എനിക്കു ചെയ്ത സകലനന്മകൾക്കും ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് എന്തു പകരംനൽകും?

What shall I render unto Jehovah For all his benefits toward me?

13 ഞാൻ രക്ഷയുടെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്ത് യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും.

I will take the cup of salvation, And call upon the name of Jehovah.

14 അവിടത്തെ ജനങ്ങളുടെയെല്ലാം സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ നേർച്ചകൾ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കും.

I will pay my vows unto Jehovah, Yea, in the presence of all his people.

15 തന്റെ വിശ്വസ്തസേവകരുടെ മരണം യഹോവയുടെ ദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ വിലയേറിയതാകുന്നു.

Precious in the sight of Jehovah Is the death of his saints.

16 യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ സേവകൻ ആകുന്നു. ഞാൻ അങ്ങയുടെ സേവകൻതന്നെ; അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസിയുടെ പുത്രൻതന്നെ; അങ്ങ് എന്റെ ബന്ധനങ്ങൾ അഴിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

O Jehovah, truly I am thy servant: I am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid; Thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്ക് സ്തോത്രയാഗം അർപ്പിച്ച് യഹോവയുടെ നാമം വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കും.

I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, And will call upon the name of Jehovah.

18 അവിടത്തെ ജനങ്ങളുടെയെല്ലാം സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ നേർച്ചകൾ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കും,

I will pay my vows unto Jehovah, Yea, in the presence of all his people,

19 യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ അങ്കണത്തിലും— ജെറുശലേമേ, നിന്റെ മധ്യത്തിലുംതന്നെ. യഹോവയെ വാഴ്ത്തുക.

In the courts of Jehovah’s house, In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye Jehovah.
