1 ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവ എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ ചവിട്ടടിയിലാക്കുംവരെ നീ എന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് ഉപവിഷ്ടനാകുക.”

“By David, a psalm.” The Eternal saith unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I place thy enemies as a stool for thy feet.

2 യഹോവ നിന്റെ ശക്തിയുള്ള ചെങ്കോൽ സീയോനിൽനിന്നു സുദീർഘമാക്കും; “നീ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മധ്യേ വാഴും!”

The staff of thy strength will the Eternal stretch forth out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thy enemies.

3 നിന്റെ യുദ്ധദിവസത്തിൽ, നിന്റെ ജനം നിനക്കു സ്വമേധയാ സമർപ്പിക്കും. വിശുദ്ധിയുടെ പ്രഭാവത്തിൽ, ഉഷസ്സിന്റെ ഉദരത്തിൽനിന്ന് എന്നതുപോലെ യുവാക്കൾ നിന്നിലേക്കു വന്നുചേരും.

Thy people will bring freewill-gifts on the day of thy power, in the ornaments of holiness: as out of the bosom of the morning-dawn so is thine the dew of thy youth.

4 യഹോവ ശപഥംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു, ആ ഉടമ്പടി അവിടന്ന് ലംഘിക്കുകയില്ല: “മൽക്കീസേദെക്കിന്റെ ക്രമപ്രകാരം അങ്ങ് എന്നെന്നേക്കും പുരോഹിതനായിരിക്കും.”

The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent of it, Thou shalt be a priest for ever after the order of Malki-zedek.

5 കർത്താവ് നിന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്തുണ്ട്; തന്റെ ക്രോധദിവസത്തിൽ അവിടന്ന് രാജാക്കന്മാരെ തകർത്തുകളയും.

The Lord at thy right hand crusheth kings on the day of his wrath.

6 അവിടന്ന് ജനതകളെ ന്യായംവിധിക്കും, അവരുടെ ദേശം ശവങ്ങൾകൊണ്ട് നിറയ്ക്കും ഭൂമിയിലെങ്ങുമുള്ള പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ അവിടന്ന് ചിതറിച്ചുകളയും.

He will judge among the nations—there shall be a fulness of corpses—he crusheth heads on a wide-spread land.

7 അവിടന്ന് വഴിയരികെയുള്ള അരുവിയിൽനിന്നു കുടിക്കും അതിനാൽ അവിടന്ന് ശിരസ്സുയർത്തും.

From the brook will he drink on the way: therefore will he lift up the head.
