സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 109
1 സംഗീതസംവിധായകന്. ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ഞാൻ സ്തുതിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, മൗനമായിരിക്കരുതേ,
For the end, a Psalm of David. For the end, a Psalm of David. O God, pass not over my praise in silence;
2 ദുഷ്ടതയും വഞ്ചനയും ഉള്ള മനുഷ്യർ, അവരുടെ വായ് എനിക്കെതിരേ തുറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; വ്യാജംപറയുന്ന നാവുകൊണ്ട് അവർ എനിക്കെതിരേ സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
for the mouth of the sinner and the mouth of the crafty [man] have been opened against me: they have spoken against me with a crafty tongue.
3 വിദ്വേഷത്തിന്റെ വാക്കുകളാൽ അവർ എന്നെ വളഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അകാരണമായി അവർ എന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കുന്നു.
And they have compassed me with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.
4 എന്റെ സൗഹൃദത്തിനു പകരം അവർ എന്റെമേൽ ആരോപണം ഉന്നയിക്കുന്നു, ഞാനോ പ്രാർഥനാനിരതനായിരിക്കുന്നു.
Instead of loving me, they falsely accused me: but I continued to pray.
5 അവർ എനിക്കു നന്മയ്ക്കുപകരം തിന്മചെയ്യുന്നു, എന്റെ സ്നേഹത്തിനു പകരം എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നു.
And they rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6 എന്റെ ശത്രുവിനോട് പ്രതിരോധിക്കാൻ ഒരു അധർമിയെ നിയോഗിക്കണമേ; അയാളുടെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് വിരോധി നിൽക്കട്ടെ.
Set thou a sinner against him; and let the devil stand at his right hand.
7 വിചാരണയിൽ അയാൾ കുറ്റക്കാരനെന്നു തെളിയട്ടെ, അയാളുടെ അഭ്യർഥനകൾ കുറ്റമായി കണക്കിടപ്പെടട്ടെ.
When he is judged, let him go forth condemned: and let his prayer become sin.
8 അയാളുടെ നാളുകൾ ചുരുക്കമായിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അയാളുടെ നേതൃസ്ഥാനം മറ്റൊരാൾ സ്വീകരിക്കട്ടെ.
Let his days be few: and let another take his office of overseer.
9 അയാളുടെ മക്കൾ അനാഥരും ഭാര്യ വിധവയും ആയിത്തീരട്ടെ.
Let his children be orphans, and his wife a widow.
10 അയാളുടെ മക്കൾ ഭിക്ഷാടകരായി അലയട്ടെ; നശിച്ചുപോയ അവരുടെ ഭവനങ്ങളിൽനിന്നും അവർ ആട്ടിയോടിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ.
Let his children wander without a dwelling-place, and beg: let them be cast out of their habitations.
11 അയാൾക്കുള്ളതെല്ലാം കടക്കാർ പിടിച്ചെടുക്കട്ടെ; അയാളുടെ അധ്വാനഫലം അപരിചിതർ അപഹരിക്കട്ടെ.
Let [his] creditor exact all that belongs to him: and let strangers spoil his labours.
12 ആരും അയാളോട് ദയകാണിക്കാതിരിക്കട്ടെ അനാഥരായ അയാളുടെ മക്കളോട് ആരും സഹതാപം കാണിക്കാതെയുമിരിക്കട്ടെ.
Let him have no helper; neither let there be any one to have compassion on his fatherless children.
13 അയാളുടെ പിൻതലമുറകൾ ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ, അടുത്ത തലമുറയിൽനിന്ന് അയാളുടെ പേരു മായിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ.
Let his children be [given up] to utter destruction: in one generation let his name be blotted out.
14 അയാളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; അയാളുടെ മാതാവിന്റെ പാപം ഒരുനാളും മായിക്കപ്പെടാതിരിക്കട്ടെ.
Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.
15 അവരുടെ പാപങ്ങൾ എപ്പോഴും യഹോവയുടെമുമ്പാകെ നിലനിൽക്കട്ടെ, അങ്ങനെ അയാളുടെ പേരു ഭൂമിയുടെ സ്മരണകളിൽനിന്ന് വിച്ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടട്ടെ.
Let them be before the Lord continually; and let their memorial be blotted out from the earth.
16 കാരണം ഒരുനാളും അയാൾ നന്മ പ്രവർത്തിക്കാൻ ഇച്ഛിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല, എന്നാൽ ദരിദ്രരെയും അശരണരെയും ഹൃദയം തകർന്നവരെയും അയാൾ മരണംവരെ വേട്ടയാടിയിരുന്നു.
Because he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the needy and poor man, and [that] to slay him that was pricked in the heart.
17 ശാപം ചൊരിയുന്നത് അയാൾക്ക് ഹരമായിരുന്നു— അത് അയാളുടെമേൽത്തന്നെ വന്നുപതിച്ചു. അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നതിൽ അയാൾ തെല്ലും ആഹ്ലാദം കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല— അതുകൊണ്ട് അനുഗ്രഹം അയാൾക്ക് അന്യമായിരുന്നു.
He loved cursing also, and it shall come upon him; and he took not pleasure in blessing, so it shall be removed far from him.
18 അയാൾ ഒരു ഉടയാടപോലെ ശാപം ധരിച്ചു അത് അയാളുടെ ഉദരത്തിലേക്ക് വെള്ളംപോലെയും അസ്ഥികളിലേക്ക് തൈലംപോലെയും പടർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
Yea, he put on cursing as a garment, and it is come as water into his bowels, and as oil into his bones.
19 അത് അയാൾ ധരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു മേലങ്കിപോലെയും എന്നും അരയ്ക്കു കെട്ടുന്ന കച്ചപോലെയും ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.
Let it be to him as a garment which he puts on, and as a girdle with which he girds himself continually.
20 എനിക്കെതിരേ തിന്മ സംസാരിച്ച് എന്റെമേൽ കുറ്റം ആരോപിക്കുന്നവർക്ക്, ഇത് യഹോവയിൽനിന്നു ലഭിക്കുന്ന പ്രതിഫലം ആയിരിക്കട്ടെ.
This is the dealing of the Lord with those who falsely accuse me, and of them that speak evil against my soul.
21 എന്നാൽ കർത്താവായ യഹോവേ, തിരുനാമത്തെപ്രതി എന്നെ സഹായിക്കണമേ; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠതയോർത്ത് എന്നെ മോചിപ്പിക്കണമേ.
But thou, O Lord, Lord, deal [mercifully] with me, for thy name's sake: for thy mercy is good.
22 കാരണം ഞാൻ ദരിദ്രനും ഞെരുക്കമനുഭവിക്കുന്നവനും ആകുന്നു, എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിനുള്ളിൽ മുറിവേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു.
Deliver me, for I am poor and needy; and my heart is troubled within me.
23 ഞാൻ വൈകുന്നേരത്തെ നിഴൽപോലെ മാഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു; ഒരു വെട്ടുക്കിളിയെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ കുടഞ്ഞെറിയപ്പെടുന്നു.
I am removed as a shadow in its going down: I am tossed up and down like locusts.
24 ഉപവാസത്താൽ എന്റെ കാൽമുട്ടുകൾ ദുർബലമായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ശരീരം എല്ലുംതോലും ആയിരിക്കുന്നു.
My knees are weakened through fasting, and my flesh is changed by reason of [the want of] oil.
25 ഞാൻ എന്റെ കുറ്റാരോപിതരുടെ പരിഹാസത്തിന് ഇരയായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്നെ നോക്കി അവർ നിന്ദാപൂർവം തലകുലുക്കുന്നു.
I became also a reproach to them: [when] they saw me they shook their heads.
26 എന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവേ, എന്നെ സഹായിക്കണമേ; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തിന് അനുസൃതമായി എന്നെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ.
Help me, O Lord my God; and save me according to thy mercy.
27 യഹോവേ, ഇത് അവിടത്തെ കരമാണെന്നും അങ്ങുതന്നെയാണ് ഇതു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നതെന്നും അവർ അറിയട്ടെ.
And let them know that this is thy hand; and [that] thou, Lord, hast wrought it.
28 അവർ ശപിക്കുമ്പോൾ അങ്ങ് അനുഗ്രഹിക്കണമേ; എന്നെ ആക്രമിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ ലജ്ജിതരായിത്തീരട്ടെ, എന്നാൽ അങ്ങയുടെ ദാസൻ ആനന്ദിക്കട്ടെ.
Let them curse, but thou shalt bless: let them that rise up against me be ashamed, but let thy servant rejoice.
29 എന്നെ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവർ അപമാനത്താൽ മൂടപ്പെടട്ടെ ഒരു പുറങ്കുപ്പായംപോലെ ലജ്ജ അവരെ പൊതിയട്ടെ.
Let those that falsely accuse me be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their shame as with a mantle.
30 എന്റെ അധരംകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ അത്യധികം പുകഴ്ത്തും; ജനസമൂഹമധ്യേ ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തും.
I will give thanks to the Lord abundantly with my mouth; and in the midst of many I will praise him.
31 കാരണം, മരണശിക്ഷയ്ക്കു വിധിക്കുന്നവരുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്നും അശരണരെ രക്ഷിക്കാനായി, അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് നിലകൊള്ളുന്നല്ലോ.
For he stood on the right hand of the poor, to save [me] from them that persecute my soul.
