1 ഒരു ഗീതം; ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു സങ്കീർത്തനം. ദൈവമേ, എന്റെ ഹൃദയം അങ്ങയിൽ പൂർണവിശ്വാസം അർപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ പാടും, പൂർണഹൃദയത്തോടെ ഞാൻ പാടിപ്പുകഴ്ത്തും.

A Song [or] Psalm of David. O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.

2 വീണയേ, കിന്നരമേ, ഉണരുക! ഞാൻ ഉഷസ്സിനെ ഉണർത്തും.

Awake, psaltery and harp: I [myself] will awake early.

3 യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങയെ ജനതകളുടെ മധ്യേ പുകഴ്ത്തും; ഞാൻ ജനതകളുടെ മധ്യേ അങ്ങയെ പാടിപ്പുകഴ്ത്തും.

I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises to thee among the nations.

4 കാരണം അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ആകാശത്തെക്കാൾ ഉന്നതം; അവിടത്തെ വിശ്വസ്തത മേഘങ്ങളോളം എത്തുന്നു.

For thy mercy [is] great above the heavens: and thy truth [reacheth] to the clouds.

5 ദൈവമേ, അവിടന്ന് ആകാശത്തിനുമീതേ ഉന്നതനായിരിക്കണമേ; അവിടത്തെ മഹത്ത്വം സർവഭൂമിയിലും വിളങ്ങട്ടെ.

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;

6 ഞങ്ങളെ രക്ഷിക്കണമേ, അവിടത്തെ വലംകരത്താൽ ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കണമേ, അങ്ങനെ അവിടത്തേക്ക് പ്രിയരായവരെ വിടുവിക്കണമേ.

That thy beloved may be delivered: save [with] thy right hand, and answer me.

7 ദൈവം തിരുനിവാസത്തിൽനിന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു: “ഞാൻ ആനന്ദിക്കും; ഞാൻ ശേഖേമിനെ വിഭജിക്കുകയും സൂക്കോത്ത് താഴ്വരയെ അളക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.

God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

8 ഗിലെയാദ് എനിക്കുള്ളത്, മനശ്ശെയും എന്റേത്; എഫ്രയീം എന്റെ ശിരോകവചവും യെഹൂദാ എന്റെ ചെങ്കോലും ആകുന്നു.

Gilead [is] mine; Manasseh [is] mine; Ephraim also [is] the strength of my head; Judah [is] my lawgiver;

9 മോവാബ് എനിക്ക് കഴുകുന്നതിനുള്ള പാത്രം ഏദോമിന്മേൽ ഞാൻ എന്റെ ചെരിപ്പ് എറിയും; ഫെലിസ്ത്യദേശത്തിന്മേൽ ഞാൻ ജയഘോഷം മുഴക്കും.”

Moab [is] my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.

10 കോട്ടമതിൽ കെട്ടിയുറപ്പിച്ച നഗരത്തിലേക്ക് ആരെന്നെ ആനയിക്കും? ഏദോമിലേക്ക് എന്നെ ആര് നയിക്കും?

Who will bring me into the strong city: who will lead me into Edom?

11 ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് അല്ലയോ, അവിടന്നല്ലയോ ഞങ്ങളെ തിരസ്കരിച്ചത്! ഞങ്ങളുടെ സൈന്യവ്യൂഹത്തോടൊപ്പം പോർമുഖത്തേക്ക് വരുന്നതുമില്ലല്ലോ?

[Wilt] not [thou], O God, [who] hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our armies?

12 ശത്രുക്കൾക്കുമുമ്പിൽ ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കണമേ, മനുഷ്യന്റെ സഹായം യാതൊരു പ്രയോജനവുമില്ലാത്തതാണല്ലോ.

Give us help from trouble: for vain [is] the help of man.

13 ദൈവത്തോടൊപ്പം നാം വിജയം കൈവരിക്കും, അങ്ങനെ അവിടന്ന് നമ്മുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ ചവിട്ടിമെതിച്ചുകളയും.

Through God we shall do valiantly: for he will tread down our enemies.
