സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 107

1 യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്‌വിൻ, അവിടന്ന് നല്ലവനല്ലോ; അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹം ശാശ്വതമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

2 യഹോവയാൽ വീണ്ടെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ, അവിടന്ന് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് വീണ്ടെടുത്തവർ,

Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;

3 കിഴക്കുനിന്നും പടിഞ്ഞാറുനിന്നും വടക്കുനിന്നും തെക്കുനിന്നും അവിടന്ന് കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തവരായ ജനം ഇപ്രകാരം പറയട്ടെ:

And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

4 അവർ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ വിജനപാതയിൽ അലഞ്ഞുനടന്നു, വാസയോഗ്യമായ പട്ടണമൊന്നും അവർ കണ്ടെത്തിയില്ല.

They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;

5 അവർ വിശന്നും ദാഹിച്ചും അലഞ്ഞു, അവരുടെ ജീവൻ ചോർന്നുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.

Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:

6 അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ വിടുവിച്ചു.

Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;

7 അവർക്കു വാസയോഗ്യമായ ഒരു നഗരത്തിലേക്ക് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നേർപാതയിലൂടെ നയിച്ചു.

And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.

8 അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ,

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;

9 കാരണം അവിടന്ന് ദാഹിക്കുന്നവരെ തൃപ്തരാക്കുകയും വിശക്കുന്നവരെ വിശിഷ്ടഭോജ്യങ്ങൾകൊണ്ടു നിറയ്ക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു.

For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.

10 ചിലർ ഇരുമ്പുചങ്ങലകളാൽ ബന്ധിതരായി കഷ്ടമനുഭവിച്ചു, കൂരിരുളിലും അന്ധതമസ്സിലും ജീവിച്ചു.

The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;

11 കാരണം അവർ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ കൽപ്പനകൾ തിരസ്കരിച്ചു അത്യുന്നതന്റെ ആലോചനകൾ നിരസിച്ചു.

Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;

12 അതിനാൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ കഠിനാധ്വാനത്തിന് ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു; അവർ തളർന്നുവീണു, സഹായിക്കാൻ ആരും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല.

And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,

13 അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;

14 അവിടന്ന് അവരെ അന്ധകാരത്തിൽനിന്ന്, അതേ, ഘോരാന്ധകാരത്തിൽനിന്നുതന്നെ വിടുവിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ചങ്ങലകളെ അവിടന്നു പൊട്ടിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞു.

He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.

15 അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ,

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!

16 കാരണം, അവിടന്ന് വെങ്കലക്കവാടങ്ങളെ തകർക്കുകയും ഇരുമ്പോടാമ്പലുകളെ വെട്ടിമുറിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.

17 ചിലർ തങ്ങളുടെ ധിക്കാരംനിമിത്തം ഭോഷരായിത്തീർന്നു അവരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളാൽ ദുരിതമനുഭവിച്ചു.

The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;

18 എല്ലാത്തരം ഭക്ഷണത്തോടും അവർക്ക് വിരക്തിതോന്നി, മരണകവാടത്തോട് അവർ സമീപിച്ചിരുന്നു.

All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,

19 അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.

20 അവിടന്ന് തന്റെ വചനം അയച്ച് അവരെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കി; ശവക്കുഴികളിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ മോചിപ്പിച്ചു.

He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.

21 അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ.

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!

22 അവർ അവിടത്തേക്ക് സ്തോത്രയാഗങ്ങൾ അർപ്പിക്കുകയും അവിടത്തെ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ആനന്ദഗീതങ്ങളാൽ വർണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.

23 ചിലർ മഹാസമുദ്രത്തിലെ വ്യാപാരികളായി; കടലിലൂടെയവർ കപ്പൽയാത്രചെയ്തു.

Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;

24 അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു, ആഴിയിൽ അവിടത്തെ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ.

They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;

25 അവിടന്ന് ആജ്ഞാപിച്ചു; ഒരു കൊടുങ്കാറ്റ് ആഞ്ഞുവീശി, തിരമാലകൾ ഉയർന്നുപൊങ്ങി.

And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;

26 അവ ആകാശത്തോളം ഉയർന്ന് ആഴങ്ങളിലേക്ക് താഴ്ന്നമർന്നു; തങ്ങളുടെ ദുരിതങ്ങളിൽ അവരുടെ ധൈര്യം ചോർന്നൊലിച്ചു.

They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;

27 അവർ മദോന്മത്തരെപ്പോലെ ചാഞ്ചാടി ആടിയുലഞ്ഞു; അവർ അവരുടെ അറിവിന്റെ അന്ത്യത്തിലെത്തി.

They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,

28 അപ്പോൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽ അവർ യഹോവയോട് നിലവിളിച്ചു, അവരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിൽനിന്ന് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ രക്ഷിച്ചു.

Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,

29 അവിടന്ന് കൊടുങ്കാറ്റിനെ ശാന്തമാക്കി; സമുദ്രത്തിലെ തിരമാലകൾ അമർന്നു.

He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:

30 അത് ശാന്തമായപ്പോൾ അവർ ആനന്ദിച്ചു, അവർ ആഗ്രഹിച്ച തുറമുഖത്തേക്ക് അവിടന്ന് അവരെ നയിച്ചു.

Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.

31 അവിടത്തെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹംനിമിത്തവും അവിടന്ന് മനുഷ്യർക്കുവേണ്ടി ചെയ്ത അത്ഭുതപ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തവും അവർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു സ്തോത്രംചെയ്യട്ടെ.

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!

32 ജനങ്ങളുടെ സഭയിൽ അവർ അവിടത്തെ വാഴ്ത്തട്ടെ സമുദായനേതാക്കന്മാരുടെ സംഘത്തിൽ അവിടത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കട്ടെ.

Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.

33 ദേശവാസികളുടെ ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികൾനിമിത്തം അവിടന്ന് നദികളെ മരുഭൂമിയും

He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,

34 അരുവികളെ ദാഹാർത്തഭൂമിയും ഫലഭൂയിഷ്ഠമായ ഇടത്തെ ഓരുനിലവും ആക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.

35 അവിടന്ന് മരുഭൂമിയെ ജലാശയങ്ങളായും വരണ്ടനിലത്തെ നീർച്ചാലുകളായും മാറ്റുന്നു;

He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;

36 അവിടന്ന് അവിടെ വിശക്കുന്നവരെ കുടിപാർപ്പിക്കുന്നു, അവർക്കു വാസയോഗ്യമായ ഒരു പട്ടണം അവർ പണിതുയർത്തുന്നു.

And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;

37 അവർ നിലങ്ങൾ വിതച്ചു മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പുകൾ നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിച്ചു അതിൽനിന്ന് അവർക്കു വിളസമൃദ്ധിയും ലഭിച്ചു;

And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:

38 അവിടന്ന് അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചു, അവർ എണ്ണത്തിൽ അത്യധികം പെരുകി, അവരുടെ കാലിസമ്പത്ത് കുറയുന്നതിന് അവിടന്ന് അനുവദിച്ചതുമില്ല.

Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.

39 പീഡനം, ആപത്ത്, ദുഃഖം എന്നിവയാൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരെ താഴ്ത്തി, അങ്ങനെ അവരുടെ എണ്ണം കുറഞ്ഞു;

So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;

40 പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരെ നിന്ദാപാത്രങ്ങളാക്കി മാറ്റുന്ന യഹോവ ഗതിയില്ലാതെ ശൂന്യപ്രദേശങ്ങളിലൂടെ അലയുന്നതിന് അവരെ ഇടയാക്കി.

He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;

41 എന്നാൽ അശരണരെ അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ കഷ്ടതയിൽനിന്ന് ഉദ്ധരിച്ചു അവരുടെ കുടുംബങ്ങളെ ആട്ടിൻപറ്റം എന്നതുപോലെ വർധിപ്പിച്ചു.

But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —

42 ഹൃദയപരമാർഥികൾ അതുകണ്ട് ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു, എന്നാൽ ദുഷ്ടരെല്ലാം മൗനം അവലംബിക്കുന്നു.

The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.

43 ജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവർ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ സശ്രദ്ധം മനസ്സിലാക്കുകയും യഹോവയുടെ അചഞ്ചലസ്നേഹത്തെപ്പറ്റി ചിന്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ.

Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
