സങ്കീർത്തനങ്ങൾ 10

1 യഹോവേ അങ്ങ് ദൂരത്തു നിൽക്കുന്നത് എന്ത്? കഷ്ടതയുടെ നാളുകളിൽ അങ്ങ് മറഞ്ഞുനിൽക്കുന്നതും എന്ത്?

Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? [why] hidest thou [thyself] in times of trouble?

2 ദുഷ്ടർ തങ്ങളുടെ അഹന്തയിൽ പീഡിതരെ വേട്ടയാടുന്നു, അവർ വെച്ച കെണിയിൽ അവർതന്നെ വീണുപോകുന്നു.

The wicked in [his] pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.

3 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയാഭിലാഷങ്ങളിൽ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു; ആ ദുഷ്ടർ അത്യാഗ്രഹികളെ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും യഹോവയെ അധിക്ഷേപിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു

For the wicked boasteth of his heart's desire, and blesseth the covetous, [whom] the LORD abhorreth.

4 അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ അഹന്തയിൽ ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നില്ല; അവരുടെ ചിന്തകളിൽ ദൈവത്തിന് ഒരു സ്ഥാനവുമില്ല.

The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek [after God]: God [is] not in all his thoughts.

5 എന്നിട്ടും അവരുടെ മാർഗങ്ങളിൽ എപ്പോഴും അഭിവൃദ്ധിയുണ്ടാകുന്നു; അങ്ങയുടെ ന്യായവിധികൾ അവരുടെ കാഴ്ചയ്ക്ക് എത്താത്തവിധം ഉയർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവർ തങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ അവജ്ഞയോടെ നോക്കുന്നു.

His ways are always grievous; thy judgments [are] far above out of his sight: [as for] all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

6 അവർ തങ്ങളോടുതന്നെ പറയുന്നു, “ഒന്നിനുമെന്നെ ഇളക്കിമറിക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല.” അവർ ശപഥംചെയ്യുന്നു, “തലമുറകളോളം എനിക്കൊരനർഥവും വരികയില്ല.”

He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for [I shall] never [be] in adversity.

7 അവരുടെ വായിൽ ശാപവും വ്യാജവും ഭീഷണിയും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ നാവിൻകീഴിൽ ഉപദ്രവവും ദുഷ്ടതയും കുടിപാർക്കുന്നു.

His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue [is] mischief and vanity.

8 അവർ ഗ്രാമങ്ങൾക്കരികെ പതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ഒളിയിടങ്ങളിലിരുന്ന് അവർ നിരപരാധികളെ വധിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ കണ്ണ് അഗതികളെ തെരഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു;

He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor.

9 ഒരു സിംഹത്തെപ്പോലെ അവർ പതുങ്ങി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു. നിസ്സഹായരെ പിടികൂടാൻ അവർ പതുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; അശരണരെ കടന്നുപിടിക്കുകയും അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ വലയ്ക്കുള്ളിലാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net.

10 അവരുടെ ഇരകളെ അവർ തകർക്കുന്നു, അവർ കുഴഞ്ഞുവീഴുന്നു; അവരുടെ കരബലത്തിൻകീഴിലവർ നിലംപരിശാകുന്നു.

He croucheth, [and] humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones.

11 “ദൈവം മറന്നുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു,” എന്ന് അവർ ആത്മഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നു; “തിരുമുഖം മൂടിയിരിക്കുന്നു, ഒന്നും കാണുന്നില്ല,” എന്നുമവർ പറയുന്നു.

He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see [it].

12 യഹോവേ, എഴുന്നേൽക്കണമേ! അല്ലയോ ദൈവമേ, തൃക്കൈ ഉയർത്തണമേ. അശരണരെ ഒരിക്കലും വിസ്മരിക്കരുതേ.

Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thy hand: forget not the humble.

13 ദുഷ്ടർ ദൈവത്തോട് എതിർത്തുനിൽക്കുന്നത് എന്തിന്? “ദൈവം ഞങ്ങളോട് കണക്കു ചോദിക്കുകയില്ല,” എന്ന് അവർ ആത്മഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നതും എന്തുകൊണ്ട്?

Why doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require [it].

14 എന്നാൽ ദൈവമേ, അങ്ങ് പീഡിതരുടെ ആകുലതകൾ കാണുന്നല്ലോ; അവരുടെ സങ്കടം അങ്ങ് പരിഗണിക്കുകയും അവ ഏറ്റെടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു. അശരണർ തിരുമുമ്പിൽ അഭയംതേടുന്നു; അങ്ങ് അനാഥരുടെ സഹായകൻ ആണല്ലോ.

Thou hast seen [it]; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite [it] with thy hand: the poor committeth himself to thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.

15 ദുഷ്ടരുടെ കൈ തകർക്കണമേ; തിന്മപ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നവരോട് അവരുടെ തിന്മയ്ക്കു കണക്കുചോദിക്കണമേ അവർ ഉന്മൂലനംചെയ്യപ്പെടുംവരെ അവരെ പിൻതുടരണമേ.

Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil [man]: seek out his wickedness [till] thou shalt find none.

16 യഹോവ എന്നെന്നേക്കും രാജാവാകുന്നു; അവിടത്തെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നും ജനതകൾ നശിച്ചുപോകും.

The LORD [is] King for ever and ever: the heathen have perished out of his land.

17 യഹോവേ, അവിടന്ന് പീഡിതരുടെ അഭിലാഷങ്ങൾ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ കരച്ചിൽ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയും അവരെ ആശ്വസിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യണമേ,

LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thy ear to hear:

18 അനാഥർക്കും പീഡിതർക്കും ന്യായം നടപ്പിലാക്കണമേ, അങ്ങനെയായാൽ മൃൺമയരായ മനുഷ്യർ ഇനിയൊരിക്കലും ആരുടെയുംമേൽ ഭീതിവരുത്തുകയില്ല.

To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress.
