1 മോശയുടെയും അഹരോന്റെയും നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്നും ഗണംഗണമായി പുറപ്പെട്ട ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പ്രയാണത്തിലെ പാളയങ്ങൾ ഇവയാണ്:
These are the journeys of the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt according to their armies, under the guidance of Moses and Aaron.
2 യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം അവരുടെ പ്രയാണത്തിലെ പാളയങ്ങൾ മോശ രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. ഘട്ടംഘട്ടമായുള്ള അവരുടെ പ്രയാണം ഇതാണ്:
And Moses wrote their departures according to their journeys by the order of the Lord; and these are their journeys according to their departures.
3 ഒന്നാംമാസം പതിനഞ്ചാംതീയതി—പെസഹായുടെ പിറ്റേന്നാൾ—ഇസ്രായേല്യർ രമെസേസിൽനിന്ന് യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു. ഈജിപ്റ്റുകാരുടെ ദേവതകളുടെമേൽ യഹോവ ന്യായവിധി വരുത്തുകയാൽ അവിടന്ന് അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ സംഹരിച്ച അവരുടെ സകല ആദ്യജാതന്മാരെയും സംസ്കരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്ന അവരുടെയെല്ലാം കണ്മുമ്പിലൂടെ ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യുദ്ധസന്നദ്ധരായി പുറപ്പെട്ടു.
And they set forward from Ra'meses in the first month; on the fifteenth day of the first month, on the morrow after the passover-sacrifice the children of Israel went out with a high hand before the eyes of all the Egyptians.
And the Egyptians were burying all the first-born, whom the Lord had smitten among them; and upon their gods also did the Lord execute judgments.
5 ഇസ്രായേല്യർ രമെസേസിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് സൂക്കോത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And the children of Israel removed from Ra'meses, and encamped in Succoth.
6 അവർ സൂക്കോത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് മരുഭൂമിക്കരികെയുള്ള ഏഥാമിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, which is on the edge of the wilderness:
7 അവർ ഏഥാമിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ബാൽ-സെഫോനു കിഴക്കുഭാഗത്തുള്ള പീ-ഹഹീരോത്തിലേക്കു പിൻവാങ്ങി മിഗ്ദോലിനു സമീപം പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Etham, and returned unto Pi-hachiroth, which is before Ba'al-zephon; and they encamped before Migdol.
8 അവർ പീ-ഹഹീരോത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് കടലിലൂടെ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ കടന്നു. അവർ ഏഥാം മരുഭൂമിയിലൂടെ മൂന്നുദിവസം സഞ്ചരിച്ചു, തുടർന്ന് അവർ മാറായിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from before Pi-hachiroth, and passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness; and they went three days' journey in the wilderness of Etham, and encamped in Marah.
9 അവർ മാറായിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഏലീമിലേക്കു പോയി. അവിടെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു നീരുറവകളും എഴുപത് ഈന്തപ്പനകളും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ അവിടെ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Marah, and came unto Elim; and in Elim there were twelve springs of water, and seventy palm-trees; and they encamped there.
10 അവർ ഏലീമിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ചെങ്കടലിനരികിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Elim, and encamped by the Red Sea.
11 അവർ ചെങ്കടലിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് സീൻമരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from the Red Sea, and encamped in the wilderness of Sin.
12 അവർ സീൻമരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ദൊഫ്കയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from the wilderness of Sin, and encamped in Dophkah.
13 അവർ ദൊഫ്കയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ആലൂശിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Dophkah, and encamped in Alush.
14 അവർ ആലൂശിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് രെഫീദീമിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു. അവിടെ ജനത്തിനു കുടിക്കാൻ വെള്ളമില്ലായിരുന്നു.
And they removed from Alush, and encamped at Rephidim, and there was no water for the people to drink.
15 അവർ രെഫീദീമിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Rephidim, and encamped in the wilderness of Sinai.
16 അവർ സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് കിബ്രോത്ത്-ഹത്താവയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from the wilderness of Sinai, and encamped in Kibroth-hattaavah.
17 അവർ കിബ്രോത്ത്-ഹത്താവയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഹസേരോത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Kibroth-hattaavah, and encamped in Chazeroth.
18 അവർ ഹസേരോത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് രിത്മയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Chazeroth, and encamped in Rithmah.
19 അവർ രിത്മയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് രിമ്മോൻ-ഫേരെസിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Rithmah, and encamped in Rimmon-perez.
20 അവർ രിമ്മോൻ-ഫേരെസിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ലിബ്നായിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Rimmon-perez, and encamped in Libnah.
21 അവർ ലിബ്നായിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് രിസ്സയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Libnah, and encamped in Rissah.
22 അവർ രിസ്സയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് കെഹേലാഥയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Rissah, and encamped in Kehelathah.
23 അവർ കെഹേലാഥയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ശാഫേർ പർവതത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Kehelathah, and encamped in mount Shapher.
24 അവർ ശാഫേർ പർവതത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഹരാദയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from mount Shapher, and encamped in Charadah.
25 അവർ ഹരാദയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് മക്ഹേലോത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Charadah, and encamped in Makheloth.
26 അവർ മക്ഹേലോത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് തഹത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Makheloth, and encamped in Tachath.
27 അവർ തഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് താരഹിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Tachath, and encamped in Tarach.
28 അവർ താരഹിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് മിത്ക്കയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Tarach, and encamped in Mithkah.
29 അവർ മിത്ക്കയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഹശ്മോനയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Mithkah, and encamped in Chashmonah.
30 അവർ ഹശ്മോനയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് മൊസേരോത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Chashmonah, and encamped in Mosseroth.
31 അവർ മൊസേരോത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ബെനേ-യാക്കാനിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Mosseroth, and encamped in Bene-ya'akan.
32 അവർ ബെനേ-യാക്കാനിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഹോർ-ഹഗ്ഗിദ്ഗാദിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Bene-ya'akan, and encamped in Chor-hagidgad.
33 അവർ ഹോർ-ഹഗ്ഗിദ്ഗാദിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് യൊത്-ബാഥായിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Chor-hagidgad, and encamped in Yotbathah.
34 അവർ യൊത്-ബാഥായിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് അബ്രോനയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Yotbathah, and encamped in 'Abronah.
35 അവർ അബ്രോനയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് എസ്യോൻ-ഗേബെറിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from 'Abronah, and encamped at 'Ezyon-geber.
36 അവർ എസ്യോൻ-ഗേബെറിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് സീൻ മരുഭൂമിയിലെ കാദേശിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from 'Ezyon-geber, and encamped in the wilderness of Zin, which is Kadesh.
37 അവർ കാദേശിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഏദോമിന്റെ അതിർത്തിയിലുള്ള ഹോർ പർവതത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Kadesh, and encamped at mount Hor, in the edge of the land of Edom.
38 യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോൻ ഹോർ പർവതത്തിലേക്കു കയറിപ്പോയി. അവിടെ അദ്ദേഹം, ഇസ്രായേല്യർ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടശേഷം നാൽപ്പതാംവർഷത്തിന്റെ അഞ്ചാംമാസം ഒന്നാംതീയതി മരിച്ചു.
And Aaron the priest went up on mount Hor by the order of the Lord, and died there, in the fortieth year after the going out of the children of Israel from the land of Egypt, in the fifth month, on the first of the month.
39 അഹരോൻ ഹോർ പർവതത്തിൽവെച്ചു മരിക്കുമ്പോൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു നൂറ്റിഇരുപത്തിമൂന്ന് വയസ്സുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
And Aaron was a hundred and twenty and three years old when he died on mount Hor.
40 കനാൻ ദേശത്തിനു തെക്കു താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന കനാന്യരാജാവായ അരാദ് ഇസ്രായേല്യർ വരുന്നു എന്നു കേട്ടു.
And the Canaanite the king of 'Arad, who dwelt on the south side in the land of Canaan, heard of the coming of the children of Israel.
41 ഇസ്രായേല്യർ ഹോർ പർവതത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് സല്മോനയിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from mount Hor, and encamped in Zalmonah.
42 അവർ സല്മോനയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് പൂനോനിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Zalmonah, and encamped in Punon.
43 അവർ പൂനോനിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ഓബോത്തിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Punon, and encamped in Oboth.
44 അവർ ഓബോത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് മോവാബിന്റെ അതിർത്തിയിലുള്ള ഇയ്യെ-അബാരീമിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Oboth, and encamped in 'Iye-ha'abarim, on the border of Moab.
45 അവർ ഇയ്യീമിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് ദീബോൻ-ഗാദിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Iyim, and encamped in Dibon-gad.
46 അവർ ദീബോൻ-ഗാദിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് അല്മോൻ-ദിബ്ലാഥയീമിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from Dibon-gad, and encamped in 'Almon-diblathaymah.
47 അവർ അല്മോൻ-ദിബ്ലാഥയീമിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് നെബോവിനുസമീപം അബാരീം പർവതങ്ങളിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from 'Almon-diblathaymah, and encamped on the mountains of 'Abarim, before Nebo.
48 അവർ അബാരീം പർവതങ്ങളിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു യെരീഹോവിനെതിരേ യോർദാൻതീരത്ത് മോവാബ് സമതലങ്ങളിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they removed from the mountains of 'Abarim, and encamped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.
49 അവിടെ മോവാബ് സമതലത്തിൽ യോർദാന്റെ തീരത്ത് ബേത്-യെശീമോത്ത്മുതൽ ആബേൽ-ശിത്തീംവരെ അവർ പാളയമടിച്ചു.
And they encamped by the Jordan, from Beth-hayeshimoth even unto Abel-hashittim in the plains of Moab.
50 യെരീഹോവിനെതിരേ യോർദാൻതീരത്ത് മോവാബുസമതലത്തിൽവെച്ച് യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:
And the Lord spoke unto Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,
51 “ഇസ്രായേല്യരോടു സംസാരിക്കണം. അവരോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുക: ‘നിങ്ങൾ യോർദാൻ കടന്ന് കനാനിലേക്കു പോകുമ്പോൾ,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan:
52 നിങ്ങളുടെമുമ്പിലുള്ള ദേശത്തിലെ സകലനിവാസികളെയും ഓടിച്ചുകളയണം. അവരുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെയും പ്രതിമകളെയും നശിപ്പിച്ച് അവർ യാഗമർപ്പിച്ചുവരുന്ന ക്ഷേത്രങ്ങൾ മുഴുവൻ ഇടിച്ചുകളയണം.
Then shall ye drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and ye shall destroy all their statues, and all their molten images shall ye destroy, and devastate all their high places.
53 ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കി അതിൽ പാർക്കുക. കാരണം നിങ്ങൾക്കു കൈവശമാക്കാനായി ദേശം ഞാൻ തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
And ye shall drive out [the inhabitants of] the land, and ye shall dwell therein; for unto you have I given the land to possess it.
54 നിങ്ങൾ കുടുംബങ്ങളായി നറുക്കിട്ട് ആ ദേശം കൈവശമാക്കണം. വലിയ ഗോത്രത്തിനു വലിയ അവകാശവും ചെറിയഗോത്രത്തിനു ചെറിയ അവകാശവും നൽകണം. നറുക്കുവീഴുന്നതിലൂടെ ലഭിക്കുന്ന ദേശം ഏതുതന്നെയായാലും അത് അവർക്കുള്ളതായിരിക്കും. നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതൃഗോത്രമനുസരിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾ ദേശം അവകാശമാക്കണം.
And ye shall divide the land by lot for an inheritance among your families; to the numerous shall ye give the more inheritance, and to the small in number shall ye give the less inheritance: there, where the lot designateth it for him, shall every one's possessions be; according to the tribes of your fathers shall ye divide it among yourselves.
55 “‘എന്നാൽ ദേശത്തിലെ നിവാസികളെ നിങ്ങൾ ഓടിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, ദേശത്തു തങ്ങാൻ നിങ്ങൾ അനുവദിക്കുന്നവർ നിങ്ങളുടെ കണ്ണുകൾക്കു ചൂണ്ടയും പാർശ്വങ്ങൾക്കു മുള്ളും ആയിരിക്കും. നിങ്ങൾ ജീവിക്കുന്ന ദേശത്ത് അവർ നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കും.
But if ye will not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you: then shall it come to pass, that those whom ye will let remain of them shall be as thorns in your eyes, and as stings in your sides, and they shall trouble you in the land wherein ye dwell.
56 അതുമാത്രമല്ല, ഞാൻ അവരോടു ചെയ്യാൻ വിചാരിച്ചതു നിങ്ങളോടു ചെയ്യും.’”
And it shall come to pass, that as I purposed to do unto them, will I do unto you.
