സംഖ്യാപുസ്തകം 12
1 മോശ ഒരു കൂശ്യസ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നതിനാൽ, കൂശ്യസ്ത്രീനിമിത്തം മിര്യാമും അഹരോനും മോശയ്ക്കു വിരോധമായി സംസാരിച്ചു.

2 “മോശയിൽക്കൂടിമാത്രമേ യഹോവ സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളോ?” അവർ ചോദിച്ചു. “അവിടന്ന് ഞങ്ങളിലൂടെയും സംസാരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?” യഹോവ ഇതു കേട്ടു.

3 എന്നാൽ മോശയാകട്ടെ, ഭൂതലത്തിലുള്ള സകലമനുഷ്യരിലുംവെച്ച് ഏറ്റവും സൗമ്യനായിരുന്നു.

4 ഉടൻതന്നെ യഹോവ മോശയോടും അഹരോനോടും മിര്യാമിനോടും കൽപ്പിച്ചു: “നിങ്ങൾ മൂന്നുപേരും സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിൽ വരിക.” അങ്ങനെ അവർ മൂന്നുപേരും കൂടാരത്തിലേക്കുവന്നു.

5 യഹോവ ഒരു മേഘസ്തംഭത്തിൽ ഇറങ്ങിവന്നു; കൂടാരവാതിലിൽനിന്ന് അഹരോനെയും മിര്യാമിനെയും വിളിച്ചു. അവർ രണ്ടുപേരും മുമ്പോട്ടുചെന്നപ്പോൾ

6 അവിടന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു: “എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക: “നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു പ്രവാചകൻ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, യഹോവ ആകുന്ന ഞാൻ ദർശനത്തിൽ എന്നെത്തന്നെ അവർക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തും. ഞാൻ സ്വപ്നത്തിൽ അവരോടു സംസാരിക്കും.

7 എന്നാൽ എന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശയുടെ കാര്യത്തിൽ അങ്ങനെയല്ല; അവൻ എന്റെ ഭവനത്തിലൊക്കെയും വിശ്വസ്തനാണ്.

8 അവനുമായി ഞാൻ അവ്യക്തമായല്ല, സ്പഷ്ടമായും അഭിമുഖമായുമാണ് സംസാരിക്കുന്നത്; അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ രൂപം കാണും. എന്നിട്ടും എന്റെ ദാസനായ മോശയ്ക്കു വിരോധമായി സംസാരിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങൾ ഭയപ്പെടാഞ്ഞതെന്ത്?”

9 യഹോവയുടെ കോപം അവർക്കെതിരേ ജ്വലിച്ചു; അവിടന്ന് അവരെ വിട്ടുപോയി.

10 മേഘം കൂടാരത്തിനുമീതേനിന്ന് ഉയർന്നപ്പോൾ, മിര്യാം ഹിമംപോലെ വെളുത്ത് കുഷ്ഠരോഗിണിയായി. അഹരോൻ അവളെ നോക്കി. അവൾ കുഷ്ഠരോഗിണി എന്നുകണ്ടു
and [the] cloud to turn aside: remove from upon [the] tent and behold Miriam be leprous like/as snow and to turn Aaron to(wards) Miriam and behold be leprous
11 അപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ അഹരോൻ മോശയോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു: “യജമാനനേ, ഞങ്ങൾ ഭോഷത്തമായി ചെയ്ത പാപം ഞങ്ങളോടു കണക്കിടരുതേ.
and to say Aaron to(wards) Moses please lord my not please to set: accuse upon us sin which be foolish and which to sin
12 പാതി മാംസം അഴുകിപ്പോയനിലയിൽ അമ്മയുടെ ഉദരത്തിൽനിന്നും പുറത്തു വന്ന ചാപിള്ളപോലെ അവൾ ആകരുതേ.”

13 അപ്പോൾ മോശ യഹോവയോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു, “ദൈവമേ, അവളെ സൗഖ്യമാക്കണേ!”

14 യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു: “അവളുടെ അപ്പൻ അവളുടെ മുഖത്തു തുപ്പിയിരുന്നെങ്കിൽ അവൾ ഏഴുദിവസം ലജ്ജിക്കുകയില്ലേ? ഏഴുദിവസം പാളയത്തിനുപുറത്ത് അവളെ അടച്ചിടുക; അതിനുശേഷം അവളെ തിരികെക്കൊണ്ടുവരാം.”
and to say LORD to(wards) Moses and father her to spit to spit in/on/with face her not be humiliated seven day to shut seven day from outside to/for camp and after to gather
15 അങ്ങനെ മിര്യാമിനെ ഏഴുദിവസം പാളയത്തിനുപുറത്ത് അടച്ചിട്ടു, അവളെ തിരികെക്കൊണ്ടുവരുംവരെ ജനം യാത്രചെയ്തില്ല.
and to shut Miriam from outside to/for camp seven day and [the] people not to set out till to gather Miriam
16 ഇതിനുശേഷം ജനം ഹസേരോത്ത് വിട്ട് പാരാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പാളയമിറങ്ങി.
