സംഖ്യാപുസ്തകം 10

1 യഹോവ വീണ്ടും മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,

2 “വെള്ളികൊണ്ട് അടിപ്പുപണിയായി രണ്ടു കാഹളങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടാക്കുക; അവ സമൂഹത്തെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടാനും പാളയത്തെ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കാനും ഉപയോഗിക്കണം.

Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them; that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.

3 അവ ഊതുമ്പോൾ സഭമുഴുവനും സമാഗമകൂടാരവാതിൽക്കൽ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ കൂടിവരണം.

And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

4 ഒരു കാഹളംമാത്രമാണ് ഊതുന്നതെങ്കിൽ, ഇസ്രായേൽഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ തലവന്മാരായ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാർ നിന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ കൂടിവരണം.

And if they blow [but] with one [trumpet], then the princes, [who are] heads of the thousands of Israel, shall assemble themselves to thee.

5 കാഹളധ്വനി ഒരിക്കൽ മുഴക്കിയാൽ, കിഴക്കുഭാഗത്തു പാളയമടിച്ച ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടണം.

When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.

6 രണ്ടാമത്തെ കാഹളധ്വനി മുഴക്കുമ്പോൾ തെക്കുഭാഗത്തുള്ള പാളയങ്ങൾ യാത്രപുറപ്പെടണം. ഇപ്രകാരം കാഹളധ്വനി മുഴക്കുന്നത് പുറപ്പാടിനുള്ള ചിഹ്നമായിരിക്കും.

When ye blow an alarm the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall take their journey: they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

7 സഭയെ വിളിച്ചുകൂട്ടാൻ കാഹളംമുഴക്കുമ്പോൾ, യാത്രപുറപ്പെടാനുള്ള കാഹളധ്വനി മുഴക്കരുത്.

But when the congregation is to be convened, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

8 “അഹരോന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരായ പുരോഹിതന്മാരാണ് കാഹളം മുഴക്കേണ്ടത്. ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കും വരാനുള്ള തലമുറകൾക്കും എന്നേക്കുമുള്ള നിയമം ആയിരിക്കണം.

And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for an ordinance for ever throughout your generations.

9 നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം ദേശത്തു നിങ്ങളെ ഞെരുക്കുന്ന ഒരു ശത്രുവിനോടു നിങ്ങൾ യുദ്ധത്തിനുപോകുമ്പോൾ, കാഹളങ്ങൾ മുഴക്കി മുന്നറിയിപ്പുനൽകണം. അപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ ഓർക്കുകയും നിങ്ങൾ ശത്രുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് വിടുവിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യും.

And if ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresseth you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

10 നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ആനന്ദമുണ്ടാകുന്ന അവസരങ്ങളിൽ, ഉത്സവങ്ങളിലും മാസാരംഭങ്ങളിലും, ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളും അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോഴും നിങ്ങൾ കാഹളങ്ങൾ ഊതണം. അവ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു സ്മാരകം ആയിരിക്കും. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.”

Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I [am] the LORD your God.

11 രണ്ടാംവർഷം രണ്ടാംമാസം ഇരുപതാംതീയതി മേഘം ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ കൂടാരത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഉയർന്നു.

And it came to pass on the twentieth [day] of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

12 അങ്ങനെ ഇസ്രായേല്യർ സീനായിമരുഭൂമിയിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ടു; മേഘം പാരാൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നതുവരെ അവർ പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലൂടെ സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

And the children of Israel took their journeys from the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

13 മോശയിൽക്കൂടെ യഹോവ കൽപ്പിച്ചപ്രകാരം അവർ പുറപ്പെടുന്നത് ഇതാദ്യമായിരുന്നു.

And they first took their journey according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

14 യെഹൂദാപാളയത്തിലെ ഗണങ്ങൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കൊടിക്കീഴിൽ ആദ്യം പുറപ്പെട്ടു. അമ്മീനാദാബിന്റെ മകൻ നഹശോൻ അവരുടെ സൈന്യാധിപനായിരുന്നു.

In the first [place] went the standard of the camp of the children of Judah according to their armies: and over his host [was] Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

15 അപ്രകാരംതന്നെ, സൂവാരിന്റെ മകൻ നെഥനയേൽ യിസ്സാഖാർ ഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar [was] Nethaneel the son of Zuar.

16 ഹേലോന്റെ മകൻ എലീയാബ് സെബൂലൂൻ ഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun [was] Eliab the son of Helon.

17 ഇതിനുശേഷം സമാഗമകൂടാരം അഴിച്ചു താഴ്ത്തി; അതു വഹിച്ച് ഗെർശോന്യരും മെരാര്യരും യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു.

And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari moved forward, bearing the tabernacle.

18 രൂബേൻതാവളത്തിലെ ഗണങ്ങൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കൊടിക്കീഴിൽ അടുത്തതായി പുറപ്പെട്ടു. ശെദെയൂരിന്റെ മകൻ എലീസൂർ അവരുടെ സൈന്യാധിപനായിരുന്നു.

And the standard of the camp of Reuben moved forward according to their armies: and over his host [was] Elizur the son of Shedeur.

19 സൂരീശദ്ദായിയുടെ മകൻ ശെലൂമിയേൽ ശിമെയോൻ ഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon [was] Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

20 ദെയൂവേലിന്റെ മകൻ എലീയാസാഫ് ഗാദ്ഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad [was] Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

21 തുടർന്ന് കെഹാത്യർ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളെ വഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു. അവർ അടുത്ത പാളയത്തിൽ ചെന്നുചേരുന്നതിനുമുമ്പുതന്നെ സമാഗമകൂടാരം സ്ഥാപിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the Kohathites moved forward, bearing the sanctuary: and [the other] set up the tabernacle against they came.

22 എഫ്രയീം പാളയത്തിലെ ഗണങ്ങൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കൊടിക്കീഴിൽ അടുത്തതായി പുറപ്പെട്ടു. അമ്മീഹൂദിന്റെ മകൻ എലീശാമ അവരുടെ സൈന്യാധിപനായിരുന്നു.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim moved forward according to their armies: and over his host [was] Elishama the son of Ammihud.

23 പെദാസൂരിന്റെ മകൻ ഗമാലിയേൽ മനശ്ശെഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh [was] Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

24 ഗിദെയോനിയുടെ മകൻ അബീദാൻ ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin [was] Abidan the son of Gideoni.

25 ഒടുവിൽ, എല്ലാ ഗണങ്ങൾക്കും പിൻപടയായി ദാൻതാവളത്തിലെ ഗണങ്ങൾ തങ്ങളുടെ കൊടിക്കീഴിൽ യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടു. അമ്മീശദ്ദായിയുടെ മകൻ അഹീയേസെർ അവരുടെ സൈന്യാധിപനായിരുന്നു.

And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan moved forward, [which was] the rear-ward of all the camps throughout their hosts: and over his host [was] Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

26 ഒക്രാന്റെ മകൻ പഗീയേൽ ആശേർഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher [was] Pagiel the son of Ocran.

27 ഏനാന്റെ മകൻ അഹീരാ നഫ്താലിഗോത്രഗണത്തിന്മേലും നിയമിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു,

And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali [was] Ahira the son of Enan.

28 ഇസ്രായേല്യഗോത്രങ്ങൾ യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ അവരുടെ അണിനീക്കത്തിന്റെ ക്രമം ഇതായിരുന്നു.

Thus [were] the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their armies, when they moved forward.

29 മോശ തന്റെ അമ്മായിയപ്പനായ രെയൂവേൽ എന്ന മിദ്യാന്റെ പുത്രനായ ഹോബാബിനോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “‘ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു തരും’ എന്ന് യഹോവ പറഞ്ഞ ദേശത്തേക്കു ഞങ്ങൾ പുറപ്പെടുകയാണ്. ഞങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം വരിക, ഞങ്ങൾ താങ്കൾക്കു നന്മ ചെയ്യും. കാരണം, യഹോവ ഇസ്രായേലിനു നന്മ വാഗ്ദാനംചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു.”

And Moses said to Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses's father-in-law, We are journeying to the place of which the LORD said, I will give it to you: come thou with us, and we will do thee good: for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.

30 അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതിവചിച്ചു: “ഇല്ല, ഞാൻ വരികയില്ല; ഞാൻ എന്റെ സ്വന്തം ദേശത്തേക്കും സ്വന്തജനങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിലേക്കും പോകുകയാണ്.”

And he said to him, I will not go; but I will depart to my own land, and to my kindred.

31 എന്നാൽ മോശ പറഞ്ഞു: “ദയവായി ഞങ്ങളെ പിരിയരുതേ! മരുഭൂമിയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ എങ്ങനെ പാളയമടിക്കണം എന്നു താങ്കൾക്കറിയാം, താങ്കൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു കണ്ണുകളായിരിക്കും.

And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou mayest be to us instead of eyes.

32 താങ്കൾ ഞങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം വന്നാൽ, യഹോവ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു നൽകുന്ന സകലനന്മയിലും താങ്കൾക്കു ഞങ്ങൾ ഓഹരി നൽകും.”

And it shall be, if thou wilt go with us, yea, it shall be, that what goodness the LORD shall do to us, the same will we do to thee.

33 അങ്ങനെ അവർ യഹോവയുടെ പർവതത്തിൽനിന്ന് യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ട് മൂന്നുദിവസം സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. അവർക്കൊരു വിശ്രമസ്ഥലം കണ്ടെത്താൻ ആ മൂന്നു ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ യഹോവയുടെ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ പേടകം അവർക്കുമുമ്പായി പോയി.

And they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them in the three days' journey, to seek a resting-place for them.

34 അവർ പാളയത്തിൽനിന്ന് യാത്രപുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ പകൽസമയത്തു യഹോവയുടെ മേഘം അവരുടെമീതേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

And the cloud of the LORD [was] upon them by day, when they went out of the camp.

35 പേടകം പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോഴൊക്കെയും മോശ പറഞ്ഞു: “യഹോവേ, എഴുന്നേൽക്കണേ! അങ്ങയുടെ ശത്രുക്കൾ ചിതറിപ്പോകട്ടെ; അങ്ങയുടെ വൈരികൾ തിരുമുമ്പിൽനിന്ന് ഓടിപ്പോകട്ടെ.”

And it came to pass, when the ark moved forward, that Moses said, Arise, LORD, and let thy enemies be scattered; and let them that hate thee flee before thee.

36 അതു നിൽക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു: “യഹോവേ, ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ എണ്ണിക്കൂടാത്ത ആയിരങ്ങളിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവരണമേ.”

And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, to the many thousands of Israel.
