മീഖാ 6
1 യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നതു ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക: “നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റ് പർവതങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വ്യവഹരിക്കുക; നീ പറയുന്നത് കുന്നുകൾ കേൾക്കട്ടെ.
Hear, I pray you, what, Yahweh, is saying, —arise thou, maintain thy controversy before the mountains, and let the hills hear thy voice: —
2 “പർവതങ്ങളേ, യഹോവയുടെ വ്യവഹാരം കേൾക്കുക; ഭൂമിയുടെ ശാശ്വതമായ അടിസ്ഥാനങ്ങളേ, ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക. യഹോവയ്ക്കു തന്റെ ജനത്തിനുനേരേ ഒരു വ്യവഹാരമുണ്ട്; അവിടന്ന് ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെനേരേ കുറ്റമാരോപിക്കുന്നു.
Hear, ye mountains, the controversy of Yahweh, and ye lasting rocks, the foundations of the earth, —for, a controversy, hath Yahweh, with his people, and, with Israel, will he dispute.
3 “എന്റെ ജനമേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് എന്തു ചെയ്തു? ഞാൻ എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളെ ഭാരപ്പെടുത്തിയോ? എന്നോട് ഉത്തരം പറയൂ.
O my people! what have I done to thee? and wherein have I wearied thee? Testify thou against me!
4 ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു, അടിമദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു. നിങ്ങളെ നയിക്കാൻ ഞാൻ മോശയെയും അഹരോനെയും മിര്യാമിനെയും അയച്ചു.
For I brought thee up out of the land of Egypt, and, out of the house of slaves, I ransomed thee, —and I sent before thee, Moses, Aaron and Miriam.
5 എന്റെ ജനമേ, മോവാബുരാജാവായ ബാലാക്കിന്റെ ആലോചന എന്തായിരുന്നു എന്നും ബെയോരിന്റെ മകനായ ബിലെയാമിന്റെ മറുപടിയും ഓർക്കുക; യഹോവയുടെ നീതിയുള്ള പ്രവൃത്തികൾ അറിയേണ്ടതിന് ശിത്തീമിൽനിന്നു ഗിൽഗാൽവരെയുള്ള നിങ്ങളുടെ യാത്ര ഓർക്കുക.”
O my people! remember, I pray you, what Balak king of Moab, counseled, and what Balaam son of Beor, answered him, —from the Acacias as far as Gilgal, that ye may know the righteousness of Yahweh.
6 യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ ഞാൻ എന്താണ് കൊണ്ടുവരേണ്ടത്? ഉന്നതനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ വണങ്ങുമ്പോൾ, ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളുമായി ഞാൻ അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധിയിൽ വരണമോ? ഒരുവയസ്സു പ്രായമുള്ള കാളക്കിടാങ്ങളുമായി വരണമോ?
Wherewith, shall I come before Yahweh? bow myself to God on high? Shall I come before him with ascending-sacrifice? with calves of a year old?
7 ആയിരക്കണക്കിനു കോലാടുകളിൽ യഹോവ പ്രസാദിക്കുമോ? പതിനായിരക്കണക്കിനു തൈലനദികളിൽ അവിടന്നു പ്രസാദിക്കുമോ? എന്റെ അതിക്രമത്തിനായി എന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനെയും എന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾക്കായി എന്റെ ഉദരഫലത്തെയും ഞാൻ അർപ്പിക്കണമോ?
Will Yahweh, be pleased, with thousands of rams? with myriads of torrents of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression? the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
8 മനുഷ്യാ, നന്മ എന്തെന്ന് അവിടന്നു നിന്നെ കാണിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; നീതി പ്രവർത്തിക്കുക, കരുണയെ സ്നേഹിക്കുക നിന്റെ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ താഴ്മയോടെ ജീവിക്കുക. ഇതല്ലാതെ മറ്റെന്താണ് യഹോവ നിന്നോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെടുന്നത്?
He hath told thee, O son of earth, what is good, —what then is, Yahweh, seeking of thee, but, to do justice, to delight in lovingkindness, and humbly to walk with thy God?
9 ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക! യഹോവ നഗരത്തെ വിളിക്കുന്നു. അങ്ങയുടെ നാമത്തെ ഭയപ്പെടുന്നതുതന്നെ ജ്ഞാനം! “വടിയെയും അതിനെ നിയമിച്ചവനെയും ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക.
The voice of Yahweh, to the city, crieth out, With safety for him who regardeth his name, —Hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.
10 ദുഷ്ടഗൃഹമേ, നിങ്ങളുടെ അവിഹിതനിക്ഷേപങ്ങളെ ഞാൻ മറക്കുമോ? അഭിശപ്തമായ നിങ്ങളുടെ കള്ള അളവുകളെ ഞാൻ മറന്നുകളയുമോ?
Even yet, are there, in the house of the lawless one, the treasures of lawlessness, —and the scant measure—accurst?
11 കള്ളത്തുലാസും കള്ളപ്പടിയും ഉള്ള മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാൻ കുറ്റവിമുക്തനാക്കുമോ?
Shall I be pure with lawless balances? or with bag of deceitful weights?
12 പട്ടണത്തിലെ ധനികർ അക്രമികൾ അതിലെ ജനം വ്യാജംപറയുന്നവർ അവരുടെ നാവുകൾ വഞ്ചന സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
For, her rich men, are full of violence, and, her inhabitants, have spoken falsehood, —and, their tongue, is deceitful in their mouth.
13 അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നശിപ്പിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു, നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾനിമിത്തം ഞാൻ നിന്നെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും.
Moreover also, I, have made thee sick with smiting thee, —laying thee waste because of thy sins.
14 നീ ഭക്ഷിക്കും, എന്നാൽ തൃപ്തിവരുകയില്ല; അപ്പോഴും നിന്റെ വയറ് നിറയാതിരിക്കും. നീ കൂട്ടിവെക്കും, എന്നാൽ ഒന്നും സമ്പാദിക്കുകയില്ല, കാരണം, നീ കൂട്ടിവെക്കുന്നതിനെ ഞാൻ വാളിന് ഏൽപ്പിക്കും.
Thou, shalt eat—and not be satisfied, but be shrunk with hunger within thee, —Though thou remove, yet shalt thou not set in safety, and, what thou dost set in safety, to the sword, will I deliver.
15 നീ വിതയ്ക്കും, പക്ഷേ, കൊയ്യുകയില്ല; നീ ഒലിവുചക്കിൽ ആട്ടും, എന്നാൽ എണ്ണ ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയില്ല, മുന്തിരിങ്ങ ചവിട്ടും, പക്ഷേ, വീഞ്ഞു കുടിക്കുകയില്ല.
Thou, shalt sow, but shalt not reap, —thou, shalt tread the olive, but shalt not anoint thee with oil, also the grape, but shalt not drink the wine.
16 നീ ഒമ്രിയുടെ ചട്ടങ്ങൾ അനുസരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ആഹാബുഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാ ആചാരങ്ങളും ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. നീ അവരുടെ പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങൾ അനുവർത്തിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ നിന്നെ നാശത്തിനും നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ തകർച്ചയ്ക്കും ഏൽപ്പിക്കും; നീ രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങളുടെ നിന്ദ വഹിക്കും.”
For strictly observed are the statutes of Omri, and every doing of the house of Ahab, and ye have walked in their counsels, —to the end I may give thee up to desolation, and her inhabitants to hissing, that, the reproach of peoples, ye may bear.
