1 ശബ്ബത്തിനുശേഷം, ആഴ്ചയുടെ ആദ്യദിവസം ആരംഭത്തിൽ മഗ്ദലക്കാരി മറിയയും മറ്റേ മറിയയും കല്ലറ കാണാൻ പോയി.
Now in the end of the Sabbath, when the first day of ye weeke began to dawne, Marie Magdalene, and the other Marie came to see the sepulchre,
2 അപ്പോൾ, കർത്താവിന്റെ ഒരു ദൂതൻ സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഇറങ്ങിവന്നതിനാൽ അതിശക്തമായ ഒരു ഭൂകമ്പം ഉണ്ടായി. ദൈവദൂതൻ വന്ന് ആ വലിയ കല്ല് ഉരുട്ടിമാറ്റി അതിന്മേൽ ഇരുന്നു.
And behold, there was a great earthquake: for the Angel of the Lord descended from heauen, and came and rolled backe the stone from the doore, and sate vpon it.
3 ആ ദൂതൻ മിന്നൽപ്പിണരിനു സദൃശനും, വസ്ത്രം ഹിമംപോലെ വെണ്മയുള്ളതും ആയിരുന്നു.
And his countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snowe.
4 കാവൽക്കാർ ദൂതനെക്കണ്ട് ഭയന്നുവിറച്ച് മരിച്ചവരെപ്പോലെയായി.
And for feare of him, the keepers were astonied, and became as dead men.
5 ദൂതൻ സ്ത്രീകളോട്, “നിങ്ങൾ പരിഭ്രമിക്കേണ്ട, ക്രൂശിക്കപ്പെട്ട യേശുവിനെയാണ് നിങ്ങൾ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നത് എന്ന് എനിക്കറിയാം.
But the Angel answered, and said to the women, Feare ye not: for I know that ye seeke Iesus which was crucified:
6 യേശു ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല! അവിടന്ന് പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ, അദ്ദേഹം ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു! യേശുവിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം വെച്ചിരുന്ന സ്ഥലം വന്നു കാണുക.
He is not here, for he is risen; as he saide: come, see the place where the Lord was laid,
7 നിങ്ങൾ പെട്ടെന്നുതന്നെ ചെന്ന്, ‘യേശു മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്ന് ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റിരിക്കുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾക്കുമുമ്പേ ഗലീലയിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു. അവിടെ നിങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കാണും’ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അറിയിക്കുക. ഇതാണ് എനിക്ക് നിങ്ങളോടു പറയാനുള്ളത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And go quickly, and tel his disciples that he is risen from ye dead: and behold, he goeth before you into Galile: there ye shall see him: loe, I haue told you.
8 സ്ത്രീകൾ ഭയപരവശരായിരുന്നെങ്കിലും ദൂതൻ അറിയിച്ച വാർത്ത ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ അറിയിക്കാൻ അത്യധികം ആനന്ദത്തോടുകൂടി കല്ലറയുടെ അടുത്തുനിന്ന് വേഗം ഓടിപ്പോയി.
So they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with feare and great ioye, and did runne to bring his disciples worde.
9 അപ്പോൾത്തന്നെ യേശു അവർക്ക് അഭിമുഖമായി വന്ന്, “നിങ്ങൾക്കു വന്ദനം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അവർ അടുത്തുചെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പാദങ്ങളിൽ മുറുകെപ്പിടിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു.
And as they wet to tel his disciples, behold, Iesus also met the, saying, God saue you. And they came, and tooke him by the feete, and worshipped him.
10 അപ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോട്, “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട, നിങ്ങൾ പോയി എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരോട് ഗലീലയിലേക്കു പോകാൻ പറയുക. അവിടെ അവർ എന്നെ കാണും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Then said Iesus vnto them, Be not afraide. Goe, and tell my brethren, that they goe into Galile, and there shall they see me.
11 ആ സ്ത്രീകൾ മടങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നതിനിടയിൽ, സൈനികരിൽ ചിലർ നഗരത്തിൽ ചെന്ന് സംഭവിച്ചതെല്ലാം പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാരെ അറിയിച്ചു.
Nowe when they were gone, beholde, some of the watch came into the citie, and shewed vnto the hie Priestes all ye things that were done.
12 പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാർ സമുദായനേതാക്കന്മാരുമായി കൂടിയാലോചിച്ച് സൈനികർക്കു വലിയൊരു തുക കോഴയായി നൽകിയിട്ട്,
And they gathered them together with the Elders, and tooke counsell, and gaue large money vnto the souldiers,
13 അവരോട്, “‘രാത്രിയിൽ ഞങ്ങൾ ഉറങ്ങുമ്പോൾ, യേശുവിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ വന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മൃതദേഹം മോഷ്ടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടുപോയി’ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയണം,
Saying, Say, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.
14 ഈ വിവരം ഭരണാധികാരിയുടെ അടുത്തെത്തിയാൽ, ഞങ്ങൾ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് സംസാരിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് കുഴപ്പമൊന്നും ഉണ്ടാകാതെ നോക്കിക്കൊള്ളാം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And if this matter come before the gouernour to be heard, we will perswade him, and so vse the matter that you shall not neede to care.
15 അതനുസരിച്ച് സൈനികർ ആ പണം വാങ്ങി തങ്ങളോടു നിർദേശിച്ചതുപോലെതന്നെ ചെയ്തു. ഈ കഥ ഇന്നുവരെയും യെഹൂദരുടെ മധ്യേ പരക്കെ പ്രചരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
So they tooke the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is noysed among the Iewes vnto this day.
16 ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പതിനൊന്നുപേരും ഗലീലയിലേക്ക്, യേശു തങ്ങളോടു പോകണമെന്നു കൽപ്പിച്ചിരുന്ന മലയിലേക്കുതന്നെ യാത്രതിരിച്ചു.
Then ye eleuen disciples wet into Galile, into a mountaine, where Iesus had appointed the.
17 യേശുവിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ അവിടത്തെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു; ചിലരോ, സംശയിച്ചു.
And when they sawe him, they worshipped him: but some douted.
18 യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് വന്ന്, “സ്വർഗത്തിലും ഭൂമിയിലും സകല അധികാരവും എനിക്കു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
And Iesus came, and spake vnto them, saying, All power is giuen vnto me, in heauen, and in earth.
19 അതുകൊണ്ട് നിങ്ങൾ പോയി പിതാവിന്റെയും പുത്രന്റെയും പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെയും നാമത്തിൽ സ്നാനം കഴിപ്പിച്ചും ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് കൽപ്പിച്ചതെല്ലാം അനുവർത്തിക്കാൻ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചുംകൊണ്ട് സകലജനതയെയും എന്റെ ശിഷ്യരാക്കുക.
Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and the Sonne, and the holy Ghost,
