മർക്കൊസ് 7
1 പരീശന്മാരും വേദജ്ഞരിൽ ചിലരും യേശുവിനെ കാണാനായി ജെറുശലേമിൽനിന്ന് വന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ചുറ്റുംകൂടി.
And the Pharisees and certain ones of the scribes, having come from Jerusalem, gather to Him.
2 അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരിൽ ചിലർ ശുദ്ധിയില്ലാത്ത, അതായത്, യെഹൂദാചാരപ്രകാരം കഴുകാത്ത കൈകൊണ്ട്, ആഹാരം കഴിക്കുന്നത് അവരുടെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെട്ടു.
And seeing certain ones of His disciples eating bread with defiled, that is, unwashed hands.
3 പൂർവികരുടെ പാരമ്പര്യമനുസരിച്ചു പരീശരും യെഹൂദരെല്ലാവരും ആചാരപരമായി കൈകഴുകാതെ ആഹാരം കഴിക്കുകയില്ല.
For the Pharisees and all the Jews, unless they diligently wash their hands, do not eat, holding the tradition of the elders.
4 ചന്തസ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു വരുമ്പോഴും ഒരു അനുഷ്ഠാനമെന്നനിലയിൽ ശുദ്ധിവരുത്താതെ ഒന്നും ഭക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല. പാനപാത്രങ്ങൾ, കുടങ്ങൾ, ഓട്ടുപാത്രങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ കഴുകുക തുടങ്ങി മറ്റനേകം ആചാരങ്ങളും അവർ അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചിരുന്നു.
And from the forum, unless they may baptize themselves, they do not eat: and many other things which they have received to hold, the baptism of cups, and pots, and brazen vessels, and couches.
5 അതുകൊണ്ട്, പരീശന്മാരും വേദജ്ഞരും യേശുവിനോട്, “അങ്ങയുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ പൂർവികരുടെ പാരമ്പര്യം അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചു ജീവിക്കാതെ ‘അശുദ്ധമായ’ കൈകൾകൊണ്ടു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുന്നതെന്ത്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him, Wherefore do not thy disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders: but they eat bread with unwashed hands?
6 അതിന് അദ്ദേഹം: “കപടഭക്തരേ, യെശയ്യാവ് നിങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവചിച്ചത് എത്ര കൃത്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു: “‘ഈ ജനം അധരങ്ങളാൽ എന്നെ ആദരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഹൃദയമോ എന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.
And responding He said to them, Beautifully did Isaiah prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as has been written, This people honor me with lips, but their heart is far from me.
7 അവർ എന്നെ വ്യർഥമായി ആരാധിക്കുന്നു; അവർ മനുഷ്യരുടെ നിയമങ്ങൾ പ്രമാണങ്ങളായി ഉപദേശിക്കുന്നു.’
In vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
8 നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവകൽപ്പനകൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മാനുഷികപാരമ്പര്യങ്ങൾ മുറുകെപ്പിടിക്കുന്നു,” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
For having left the commandment of God, you are holding the tradition of men.
9 അദ്ദേഹം അവരോടു തുടർന്നു പറഞ്ഞത്: “സ്വന്തം പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങൾ പാലിക്കാൻവേണ്ടി കൗശലപൂർവം നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവകൽപ്പനകൾ അവഗണിക്കുന്നു.
And He said to them, Truly, you make void the commandment of God, that you may hold your own tradition.
10 ‘നിന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കളെ ബഹുമാനിക്കണം’ എന്നും ‘പിതാവിനെയോ മാതാവിനെയോ ശപിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിക്ക് വധശിക്ഷനൽകണം’ എന്നും മോശ കൽപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
For Moses said, Honor thy father and thy mother; and let the one speaking evil of father and mother die the death.
11 എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ: ഒരാൾ തന്റെ പിതാവിനോടോ മാതാവിനോടോ ‘ഞാൻ നിങ്ങൾക്കു നൽകേണ്ട സഹായം ദൈവത്തിനുള്ള വഴിപാടായി നേർന്നുപോയല്ലോ’ അഥവാ, ‘കൊർബാൻ’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാൽ മാതാപിതാക്കളോടുള്ള അയാളുടെ കടമ തീർന്നു എന്നു പറയുന്നു.
But you say, If a man may say to father or mother, Corban, that is a gift, whatsoever you may be profited by me;
12 അങ്ങനെ പിതാവിനോ മാതാവിനോവേണ്ടി ഒരിക്കലും എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്തുകൊടുക്കാൻ നിങ്ങൾ അവനെ അനുവദിക്കുന്നുമില്ല.
and you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother;
13 ഇപ്രകാരം നിങ്ങളുടെ പരമ്പരാഗതമായ സമ്പ്രദായങ്ങളിലൂടെ നിങ്ങൾ ദൈവകൽപ്പനയെ അസാധുവാക്കുന്നു. ഇതുമാത്രമല്ല, ഇതുപോലെയുള്ള പലതും നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്.”
making void the word of God by your tradition, which you have given: and you do many such similar things.
14 യേശു ജനക്കൂട്ടത്തെ വീണ്ടും തന്റെ അടുത്തേക്കു വിളിച്ച് അവരോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു: “എല്ലാവരും എന്റെ വാക്ക് ശ്രദ്ധാപൂർവം കേട്ടു മനസ്സിലാക്കുക.
And calling the crowd to Him again, He said to them, Hear all ye, and understand.
15 പുറമേനിന്നു മനുഷ്യന്റെ അകത്തേക്കു ചെല്ലുന്ന യാതൊന്നിനും ആ വ്യക്തിയെ ‘അശുദ്ധമാക്കാൻ’ കഴിയുകയില്ല.
There is nothing without a man coming into him, which is competent to defile him: but those things coming out from him, these are the things which defile the man.
16 പിന്നെയോ, മനുഷ്യഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നു പുറത്തു വരുന്നതാണ് ആ മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നത്. കേൾക്കാൻ ചെവിയുള്ളവൻ കേൾക്കട്ടെ.”
If any one has ears to hear, let him hear.
17 ജനക്കൂട്ടത്തെ വിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം ഭവനത്തിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ ശിഷ്യന്മാർ ഈ സാദൃശ്യകഥയെക്കുറിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു ചോദിച്ചു.
And when He came from the multitude into the house, His disciples asked Him the parable.
18 “നിങ്ങൾ ഇത്ര ബുദ്ധിഹീനരോ?” അദ്ദേഹം ചോദിച്ചു. “പുറമേനിന്ന് ഉള്ളിലേക്കുചെല്ലുന്ന യാതൊരു ഭക്ഷണത്തിനും ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കാൻ കഴിയുകയില്ല എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ?
And He says to them, Are you still without understanding? Do you not know that everything external entering into a man is not able to defile him?
19 കാരണം, അത് അയാളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തിലേക്കല്ല, വയറ്റിലേക്കും പിന്നെ ശരീരത്തിനു പുറത്തേക്കുമാണ് പോകുന്നത്.” എല്ലാ ഭക്ഷണവും ശുദ്ധമെന്ന് ഈ വാക്കുകളിലൂടെ അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
Because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is cast out into the excrement, purifying all edibles.
20 അദ്ദേഹം തുടർന്നു: “മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെടുന്നവയാണ് അയാളെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നത്.
And He said, Everything proceeding out from the man, that defiles the man.
21 വഷളവിചാരങ്ങൾ, വ്യഭിചാരം, മോഷണം, കൊലപാതകം, പരസംഗം,
For within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil reasonings, adulteries, fornications, murders,
22 അത്യാഗ്രഹം, ദുഷ്‌പ്രവൃത്തികൾ, വഞ്ചന, ലൈംഗികാധർമം, ഈർഷ്യ, ദൂഷണം, അഹങ്കാരം, മൂഢത എന്നിവ ഉള്ളിൽനിന്ന്, മനുഷ്യന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽനിന്നു വരുന്നു.
thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, impurity, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, folly.
23 ഈ തിന്മകളെല്ലാം ഉള്ളിൽനിന്നു വന്ന് മനുഷ്യനെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുന്നു.”
All these evils proceed out from within, and defile the man.
24 യേശു ആ സ്ഥലംവിട്ടു സോരിന്റെ പ്രദേശത്തേക്കുപോയി. അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു ഭവനത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു; അത് ആരും അറിയരുതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു, എങ്കിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യം രഹസ്യമായി വെക്കുക അസാധ്യമായിരുന്നു.
And rising up, He departed thence into the regions of Tyre and Sidon. And having entered into a house, and He wished no one to know it: and He was not able to be hidden.
25 ദുരാത്മാവു ബാധിച്ച ഒരു പെൺകുട്ടിയുടെ അമ്മ അദ്ദേഹത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടയുടനെ, വന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കാൽക്കൽവീണു.
For a woman hearing concerning Him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit, having come worshiped at His feet.
26 അവൾ സുറൊഫൊയ്നീക്യയിൽ ജനിച്ച ഒരു ഗ്രീക്കുകാരി ആയിരുന്നു. തന്റെ മകളിൽനിന്ന് ഭൂതത്തെ പുറത്താക്കാൻ അവൾ യേശുവിനോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.
For the woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by race; and asked Him that He may cast the demon out of her daughter.
27 യേശു അവളോട്, “ആദ്യം മക്കൾ തിന്നു തൃപ്തരാകട്ടെ. മക്കളുടെ അപ്പം എടുത്ത് നായ്ക്കുട്ടികൾക്ക് എറിഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കുന്നത് അനുയോജ്യമല്ല” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And He said to her, Permit the children first to be fed: for It is not good to take the children's bread and cast it to little dogs.
28 അതിന് അവൾ, “അതേ കർത്താവേ, മേശയുടെ കീഴിൽ ഉള്ള നായ്ക്കുട്ടികളും മക്കളുടെ കൈകളിൽനിന്ന് വീഴുന്ന അപ്പനുറുക്കുകൾ തിന്നുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ” എന്നു മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
And she responded and says to Him, Yea, Lord: for even the little dogs eat the crumbs of the children under the table.
29 അപ്പോൾ യേശു അവളോടു പറഞ്ഞത്: പൊയ്ക്കൊള്ളൂ, “നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിറഞ്ഞ ഈ വാക്കുകൾനിമിത്തം ഭൂതം നിന്റെ മകളെ വിട്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്നു.”
And He said to her, On account of this word go; the demon has already gone out from thy daughter.
30 അവൾ വീട്ടിൽ എത്തിയപ്പോൾ കുട്ടി ഭൂതബാധ ഒഴിഞ്ഞ് കട്ടിലിൽ കിടക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു.
And having come into her house, she found the demon gone out, and the daughter lying on the bed.
31 പിന്നീട് യേശു സോർപ്രദേശം വിട്ടു സീദോനിലൂടെ ദെക്കപ്പൊലിവഴി ഗലീലാതടാകതീരത്തേക്കു പോയി.
And having again come out from Tyre and Sidon, He came to the Sea of Galilee, amid the coasts of Decapolis.
32 അവിടെ ചിലർ ബധിരനും മൂകനുമായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; അയാളുടെമേൽ കൈവെച്ച് സൗഖ്യമാക്കണമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു യാചിച്ചു.
And they bring Him a deaf man, speaking with difficulty; and intreat Him that He may lay His hand on him.
33 യേശു ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ജനക്കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്ന് മാറ്റിനിർത്തി തന്റെ വിരലുകൾ അയാളുടെ ചെവികളിൽ ഇട്ടു; തന്റെ തുപ്പൽ അയാളുടെ നാവിൽ തൊടുവിച്ചു.
And taking him from the crowd privately, He put His fingers in his ears, and having spat, He touched his tongue;
34 അദ്ദേഹം സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്കു നോക്കി ഒരു ദീർഘനിശ്വാസത്തോടെ “തുറന്നുവരിക” എന്നർഥമുള്ള “എഫഥാ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
and looking up to heaven, he groaned, and says to him, Ephphatha, which is, Be thou opened.
35 അപ്പോൾ അയാളുടെ ചെവികൾ തുറന്നു; നാവിന്റെ തടസ്സം നീങ്ങി. അവൻ വ്യക്തമായി സംസാരിച്ചുതുടങ്ങി.
And immediately his ears were opened, and the bond of his tongue loosed, and he continued to speak distinctly.
36 ഇത് ആരോടും പറയരുത് എന്ന് യേശു കൽപ്പിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹം പറയരുതെന്ന് എത്രയേറെ കൽപ്പിച്ചുവോ അത്രയേറെ അവർ അതേപ്പറ്റി സംസാരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
And He charged them that they should tell no one: and the more He charged them, the more abundantly they proclaimed it.
37 “അദ്ദേഹം എല്ലാം നന്നായി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു, ബധിരർക്കു കേൾവിയും മൂകർക്കു സംസാരശേഷിയും നൽകുന്നല്ലോ,” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ജനങ്ങൾ അത്യന്തം ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു.
And were astonished exceedingly, saying, He has done all things well: He makes the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.
