ലൂക്കോസ് 20
1 ഒരു ദിവസം യേശു ദൈവാലയാങ്കണത്തിൽ ജനത്തെ ഉപദേശിക്കുകയും സുവിശേഷം ഘോഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നപ്പോൾ പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാരും വേദജ്ഞരും സമുദായനേതാക്കന്മാരോടൊത്ത് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന്,
On one of the days while he was teaching the people in the Temple and preaching the gospel, there came up the priest and the Scribes with the elders.
2 “എന്ത് അധികാരത്താലാണ് താങ്കൾ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നത്? ഞങ്ങളോടു പറയുക. ആരാണ് താങ്കൾക്ക് ഈ അധികാരം തന്നത്?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
They spoke to him saying. "Tell us by what authority you are doing these things? Who is it that gave you this authority?"
3 അതിനുത്തരമായി യേശു, “ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോട് ഒരു ചോദ്യം ചോദിക്കാം;
"I will also ask you a question," he replied.
4 സ്നാനം നൽകാനുള്ള അധികാരം യോഹന്നാന് ലഭിച്ചത് സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്നോ മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്നോ?”
"Was John’s baptism from heaven or from man?"
5 അവർ അതിനെപ്പറ്റി പരസ്പരം ചർച്ചചെയ്തു: “‘സ്വർഗത്തിൽനിന്ന്’ എന്നു നാം പറഞ്ഞാൽ, പിന്നെ നിങ്ങൾ യോഹന്നാനിൽ വിശ്വസിക്കാതിരുന്നത് എന്തുകൊണ്ട് എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം നമ്മോടു ചോദിക്കും.
So they reasoned among themselves. "If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask us, ‘Why did you not believe in him?’
6 ‘മനുഷ്യരിൽനിന്ന്,’ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാലോ, ജനമെല്ലാം നമ്മെ കല്ലെറിയും; കാരണം യോഹന്നാൻ ഒരു പ്രവാചകനാണെന്ന് ജനങ്ങൾക്കു ബോധ്യമായിരിക്കുന്നു.”
"And if we say, ‘From man,’ all the people will stone us, for they were persuaded that Johnwas a prophet."
7 ഒടുവിൽ അവർ മറുപടിയായി, “അത് എവിടെനിന്ന് എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
So they answered that they did not know whence it was.
8 അപ്പോൾ യേശു, “എന്ത് അധികാരത്താലാണ് ഞാൻ ഈ കാര്യങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്ന് ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നില്ല” എന്ന മറുപടിയും നൽകി.
"Nor will I tell you," Jesus answered, "by whose authority I do these things."
9 തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ജനങ്ങളോട് ഈ സാദൃശ്യകഥ പറഞ്ഞു: “ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഒരു മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പ് നട്ടുപിടിപ്പിച്ചു. അത് ഏതാനും കർഷകരെ പാട്ടത്തിനേൽപ്പിച്ചിട്ട്, ദീർഘനാളത്തെ പ്രവാസത്തിനായി വിദേശത്തുപോയി.
Then he began to tell the people this parable. "There was a man who planted a vineyard, and let it out to vine-dressers, and went to another country for a long time.
10 വിളവെടുപ്പുകാലം ആയപ്പോൾ, പാട്ടക്കർഷകരിൽനിന്ന് മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിലെ വിളവിൽ തനിക്കുള്ള ഓഹരി വാങ്ങേണ്ടതിന് അദ്ദേഹം അവരുടെ അടുത്തേക്ക് ഒരു ദാസനെ അയച്ചു. എന്നാൽ, പാട്ടക്കർഷകർ അവനെ മർദിച്ച് വെറുംകൈയോടെ തിരികെ അയച്ചു.
"At harvest-time he sent a slave to the vine-dressers, to ask them to give him a share of the crop; but the vine-dresser beat him and sent him away empty-handed.
11 മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ മറ്റൊരു ദാസനെ അയച്ചു; എന്നാൽ അയാളെയും അവർ മർദിച്ച് അപമാനിച്ച് വെറുംകൈയോടെ തിരികെ അയച്ചു.
"Then he sent another slave; and him also they flogged and handled shamefully and sent him away empty-handed.
12 മൂന്നാമതും ഒരാളെ അയച്ചു. അയാളെ മുറിവേൽപ്പിച്ചു പുറത്ത് എറിഞ്ഞുകളഞ്ഞു.
"Then he sent yet a third, and him to they wounded and threw him out.
13 “അപ്പോൾ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ പറഞ്ഞു: ‘ഇനി ഞാൻ എന്തുചെയ്യും? എന്റെ പ്രിയമകനെ ഞാൻ അയയ്ക്കും; ഒരുപക്ഷേ അവർ അവനെ ആദരിച്ചേക്കും.’
"Then the master of the vineyard said. "‘What shall I do? I will send my beloved Son; it may be that they will reverence him.’
14 “എന്നാൽ, ആ കർഷകർ മകനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ പരസ്പരം ഇങ്ങനെ ചർച്ചചെയ്തു, ‘ഇവനാണ് അവകാശി; വരൂ, നമുക്ക് ഇവനെ കൊന്നുകളയാം; എങ്കിൽ ഇതിനെല്ലാം നാം അവകാശികളാകും.’
"But when the vine-dressers saw him, they reasoned together, saying. ‘This is the heir. Let us kill him so that the inheritance may be ours.’
15 അങ്ങനെ അവർ അവനെ മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിന് പുറത്തേക്കു വലിച്ചിഴച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. “മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പിന്റെ ഉടമസ്ഥൻ ഇനി അവരോട് എങ്ങനെയാണ് പ്രതികരിക്കുക?
"So they turned him out of the vineyard and killed him. "What will the master of the vineyard do to them?
16 അദ്ദേഹം വന്ന് ആ പാട്ടക്കർഷകരെ വധിച്ച് മുന്തിരിത്തോപ്പ് വേറെ ആളുകളെ ഏൽപ്പിക്കും.” ഇതു കേട്ട ജനം, “ഈ കഥ ഒരിക്കലും യാഥാർഥ്യമാകാതിരിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
"He will come and destroy those vine-dressers, and will give the vineyard to others."
17 അപ്പോൾ യേശു ജനത്തെ അർഥപൂർണമായി നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ട്, “‘ശില്പികൾ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച ആ കല്ലുതന്നെ മൂലക്കല്ലായിത്തീർന്നു,’ എന്ന തിരുവെഴുത്ത് നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലേ?
He looked at them and said. "Then what does this scripture mean. "The stone which the builders rejected, the same was made the head of the corner?
18 ഈ കല്ലിന്മേൽ വീഴുന്നവരെല്ലാം തകർന്നുപോകും. അത് ആരുടെമേൽ വീഴുന്നോ അയാൾ തരിപ്പണമാകും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
"Every one who falls on that stone will be broken in pieces; but whoever it falls upon will be scattered as dust."
19 യേശു ഈ സാദൃശ്യകഥ തങ്ങൾക്കു വിരോധമായിട്ടാണ് പറഞ്ഞതെന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ട്, വേദജ്ഞരും പുരോഹിതമുഖ്യന്മാരും എത്രയും പെട്ടെന്നുതന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ബന്ധനസ്ഥനാക്കാൻ മാർഗം ആരാഞ്ഞു, എന്നാൽ അവർ ജനരോഷം ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
At this the Scribes and the high priests were seeking to arrest him; only they were afraid of the people. For they perceived that he had referred to them in this parable.
20 അവർ യേശുവിനെ സസൂക്ഷ്മം നിരീക്ഷിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. യേശുവിനെ വാക്കിൽക്കുടുക്കി റോമൻ നിയമപ്രകാരമുള്ള വല്ല കുറ്റവും ചെയ്യിച്ച് റോമൻ ഭരണാധികാരിക്ക് ഏൽപ്പിക്കാനുള്ള പഴുത് അന്വേഷിക്കാനായി, നീതിമാന്മാരെന്നു നടിക്കുന്ന രഹസ്യദൂതന്മാരെ യേശുവിന്റെ സമീപത്തേക്കയച്ചു.
So they watched him, and sent spies who pretended to be honest men, in order to seize on his speech, and to deliver him up to authority and jurisdiction of the governor.
21 അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തോടു ചോദിച്ചു: “ഗുരോ, അങ്ങ് ശരിയായിട്ടുള്ളതു പ്രസ്താവിക്കുകയും ഉപദേശിക്കുകയും പക്ഷഭേദരഹിതനായി സത്യം അനുസരിച്ചുമാത്രം ദൈവികമാർഗം പഠിപ്പിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു എന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾക്കറിയാം.
So they put a question to him saying. "Rabbi, we know that you speak and teach what is right, and that you do not regard any man’s person, but teach the way of God honestly.
22 നാം റോമൻ കൈസർക്ക് നികുതി കൊടുക്കുന്നതു ശരിയാണോ?”
"Is it lawful for us to pay tribute to Caesar or not?"
23 അവരുടെ തന്ത്രം മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിട്ട് അദ്ദേഹം അവരോട്,
But he perceived their knavery and answered.
24 “ഒരു ദിനാർനാണയം കാണിക്കുക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിനുശേഷം “ആരുടെ രൂപവും ലിഖിതവുമാണ് ഇതിന്മേലുള്ളത്?” എന്ന് യേശു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു. “കൈസറുടേത്” അവർ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
"Show me a shilling. Whose image and superscription does it bear?" "Caesar’s," they replied.
25 “അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ, കൈസർക്ക് നൽകേണ്ടത് കൈസർക്കും ദൈവത്തിന് നൽകേണ്ടത് ദൈവത്തിനും നൽകുക,” എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
"Then give to Caesar what belongs to him," he said, "to God give what is God’s."
26 അങ്ങനെ, ജനങ്ങളുടെമുമ്പിൽവെച്ച് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ വാക്കിൽ കുടുക്കാൻ കഴിയാതെ അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മറുപടികേട്ട് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
So they could not lay hold of his sayings before the people; and marveling at his answer, they held their peace.
27 പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ലെന്നു വാദിക്കുന്ന സദൂക്യരിൽ ചിലർ ഒരു ചോദ്യവുമായി യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കൽവന്നു.
Next came some of the Sadducees who deny that there is resurrection, and they asked him.
28 അവർ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചു: “ഗുരോ, ഒരാളുടെ സഹോദരൻ മക്കളില്ലാതെ മരിച്ചുപോകുകയും ഭാര്യ ശേഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ, അയാൾ ആ വിധവയെ വിവാഹംചെയ്തു സഹോദരനുവേണ്ടി മക്കളെ ജനിപ്പിക്കണമെന്നു മോശ കൽപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ.
"Teacher, Moses wrote a law for us that if a man’s brother should die, but leave no children, his brother should take up his wife and raise up his children for his brother.
29 ഒരിടത്ത് ഏഴ് സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഒന്നാമൻ ഒരു സ്ത്രീയെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചു, മക്കളില്ലാത്തവനായി മരിച്ചു.
"Now there were seven brothers. the first took a wife and died childless,
30 രണ്ടാമനും പിന്നെ മൂന്നാമനും അവളെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചു;
"and the second and third took her,
31 അങ്ങനെ ഏഴുപേരും വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചു, മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരായി മരിച്ചു.
"and likewise all the seven, but left no children when they died.
32 ഒടുവിൽ ആ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
"Last of all the woman died too.
33 അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ പുനരുത്ഥിതജീവിതത്തിൽ അവൾ ആരുടെ ഭാര്യയായിരിക്കും? അവർ ഏഴുപേരും അവളെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചിരുന്നല്ലോ!”
"In the resurrection whose wife shall she be? For they all seven had her as wife."
34 യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞത്, “ഈ യുഗത്തിൽ ജീവിക്കുന്നവർ വിവാഹംകഴിക്കുകയും വിവാഹംകഴിപ്പിച്ചയയ്ക്കുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു. (aiōn g165)
"People in this world marry and are given in marriage," said Jesus, (aiōn g165)
35 എന്നാൽ, മരിച്ചവരിൽനിന്നുള്ള പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിന് യോഗ്യരായി വരുംയുഗത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുമ്പോൾ വിവാഹംകഴിക്കുകയോ വിവാഹംകഴിപ്പിച്ചയയ്ക്കുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നില്ല. (aiōn g165)
"but those who are counted worthy to reach that world and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage. (aiōn g165)
36 അവർ പുനരുത്ഥിതരായിരിക്കുകയാൽ ദൈവദൂതതുല്യരും ദൈവപുത്രരും ആകുന്നു, അതുകൊണ്ട് അവർക്ക് ഇനി മരിക്കാനും സാധ്യമല്ല.
"For indeed they cannot die any more; they are equal to the angels, and through being sons of the resurrection are sons of God.
37 മോശതന്നെ മുൾപ്പടർപ്പിനെപ്പറ്റിയുള്ള വിവരണത്തിൽ മരിച്ചവർ ഉയിർത്തെഴുന്നേൽക്കുന്നു എന്ന് നമുക്ക് വ്യക്തമാക്കിത്തന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്; കർത്താവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ‘അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു’ എന്നിങ്ങനെ മോശ പരാമർശിക്കുന്നുണ്ടല്ലോ.
"But that the dead are raised, even Moses clearly implied in the passage about the Bush, when he calls the Lord. "The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.
38 അവിടന്നു മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, പിന്നെയോ ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമാണ്. ദൈവദൃഷ്ടിയിൽ എല്ലാവരും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവർതന്നെ.”
"Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living; for to him all are alive.’
39 “ഗുരോ, അങ്ങയുടെ ഉത്തരം വളരെ നന്നായിരിക്കുന്നു,” വേദജ്ഞരിൽ ചിലർ പ്രതികരിച്ചു.
Then some of the Scribes said, "Teacher, that was nobly said,"
40 ഇതിൽപ്പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തോട് കൂടുതൽ ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കാൻ ആർക്കും ധൈര്യം വന്നില്ല.
for they no longer dared to ask him any questions.
41 എന്നാൽ, യേശു അവരോട് ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചു: “ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രനാണ് ക്രിസ്തു എന്നു പറയുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ?
"How is it," he asked them, "that they say that Christ is David’s son?
42 ദാവീദുപോലും സങ്കീർത്തനപ്പുസ്തകത്തിൽ: “‘കർത്താവ് എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോട്:
"for David himself say’s in the book of the Psalms, "The Lord said to my Lord. Sit at my right hand,
43 “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ ചവിട്ടടിയിലാക്കുംവരെ നീ എന്റെ വലതുഭാഗത്ത് ഉപവിഷ്ടനാകുക”’ എന്നു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചല്ലോ!
Until I make thy enemies the footstool at thy feet.
44 ദാവീദ് ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ ‘കർത്താവേ’ എന്നു സംബോധന ചെയ്യുന്നെങ്കിൽ ക്രിസ്തു ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നതെങ്ങനെ?”
"David therefore himself calls him ‘Lord,’ and how can he be his son?"
45 ജനമെല്ലാം ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ, യേശു തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞത്:
Then, in the hearing of all the people, he said to his disciples.
46 “വേദജ്ഞരെ സൂക്ഷിക്കുക. അവർ സ്വന്തം പദവി പ്രകടമാക്കുന്ന നീണ്ട പുറങ്കുപ്പായം ധരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ചന്തസ്ഥലങ്ങളിൽ നടന്ന് അഭിവാദനം സ്വീകരിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. പള്ളികളിൽ പ്രധാന ഇരിപ്പിടങ്ങളും വിരുന്നുകളിൽ ആദരണീയർക്കായി വേർതിരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഇരിപ്പിടവും അവർ മോഹിക്കുന്നു.
"Beware of the Scribes who like to walk about in long robes, and dote on salutations in the marketplaces, and on securing the front seats in the synagogues and the best places at banquets;
47 അവർ വിധവകളുടെ സമ്പത്ത് നിർലജ്ജം അപഹരിച്ചിട്ട് കേവലം പ്രകടനാത്മകമായ നീണ്ട പ്രാർഥനകൾ ചൊല്ലുകയുംചെയ്യുന്നു. അങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ അതിഭീകരമായി ശിക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടും.”
"but they devour widows’ houses and for a pretense make long prayers. These shall receive severer condemnation."
