ലൂക്കോസ് 2
1 ആ കാലത്ത് റോമാ ചക്രവർത്തി അഗസ്തോസ് കൈസർ തന്റെ സാമ്രാജ്യത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാവരുടെയും ജനസംഖ്യാനിർണയത്തിനായുള്ള ആജ്ഞ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.
It came to pass then in the days those went out a decree from Caesar Augustus to register all the world.
2 —ഈ ഒന്നാമത്തെ ജനസംഖ്യാനിർണയം നടന്നത് സിറിയാപ്രവിശ്യയിലെ ഭരണാധികാരിയായി ക്വിറിനിയൂസ് വാഴുമ്പോഴാണ്—
This (*k*) registration first took place when is governing Syria Quirinius.
3 അങ്ങനെ എല്ലാവരും തങ്ങളുടെ പേരെഴുതിക്കുന്നതിന് അവരവരുടെ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു യാത്രയായി.
And were going all to be registered, each to the (their own *N(k)O*) city.
4 അങ്ങനെ യോസേഫ് ദാവീദിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിലും വംശത്തിലും ഉള്ളവനായതിനാൽ ഗലീലാപ്രവിശ്യയിലെ നസറെത്ത് എന്ന പട്ടണത്തിൽനിന്ന് യെഹൂദ്യപ്രവിശ്യയിലെ ബേത്ലഹേം എന്ന ദാവീദിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിലേക്കു യാത്രതിരിച്ചു.
Went up then also Joseph from Galilee out of [the] town of Nazareth to Judea to [the] City of David which is called Bethlehem, because of being him from [the] house and family of David,
5 തന്റെ പ്രതിശ്രുതവധുവും ഗർഭിണിയുമായ മറിയയോടൊപ്പമാണ് പേരുചേർക്കുന്നതിനായി അദ്ദേഹം അവിടേക്കു പോയത്.
to register with Mary who [was] betrothed to him (wife *k*) she being with child.
6 അവർ ബേത്ലഹേമിൽ ആയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മറിയയ്ക്ക് പ്രസവത്തിനുള്ള സമയം തികഞ്ഞു.
It came to pass then in their being them there were fulfilled the days of the giving birth of her,
7 മറിയ തന്റെ ആദ്യജാതനായ പുത്രന് ജന്മംനൽകി, അവൾ ശിശുവിനെ ശീലകളിൽ പൊതിഞ്ഞ്, കന്നുകാലികൾക്ക് പുല്ല് കൊടുക്കുന്ന ഒരു തൊട്ടിയിൽ കിടത്തി; കാരണം, അവർക്കവിടെ ഒരു മുറിയും ലഭ്യമായില്ല.
And she brought forth the son of her the firstborn and wrapped in swaddling cloths him and she laid Him in (*k*) a manger, because not there was for them a place in the inn.
8 അന്നുരാത്രിയിൽ ആ പ്രദേശത്ത് ആട്ടിൻപറ്റത്തിന് കാവലായി മേച്ചിൽപ്പുറത്ത് താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന ഇടയന്മാർക്ക്
And shepherds were in the region same lodging in the fields and keeping watch by night over the flock of them.
9 കർത്താവിന്റെ ഒരു ദൂതൻ പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി. കർത്താവിന്റെ പ്രഭ അവർക്കുചുറ്റും തിളങ്ങി, അവർ വളരെ ഭയവിഹ്വലരായിത്തീർന്നു.
And (behold *KO*) an angel of [the] Lord stood by them, and [the] glory of [the] Lord shone around them, and they feared [with] fear great.
10 അപ്പോൾ ദൂതൻ അവരോടറിയിച്ചത്, “ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട! സകലജനത്തിനും മഹാ ആനന്ദംനൽകുന്ന സുവാർത്ത ഇതാ ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കുന്നു.
And said to them the angel; Not do fear; behold for I bring good news to you [of] joy great which will be to all the people
11 ഇന്നേദിവസം ക്രിസ്തുവെന്ന കർത്താവായ രക്ഷകൻ ദാവീദിന്റെ പട്ടണത്തിൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി ജനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
For has been born to you today a Savior who is Christ [the] Lord in [the] City of David.
12 നിങ്ങൾക്കുള്ള ചിഹ്നമോ: ശീലകളിൽ പൊതിഞ്ഞ്, പുൽത്തൊട്ടിയിൽ കിടക്കുന്ന ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ നിങ്ങൾ കാണും.”
And this [is] to you the sign: You will find a baby swaddled (and *no*) lying in (*k*) a manger.
13 ഇതു പറഞ്ഞമാത്രയിൽത്തന്നെ സ്വർഗീയസൈന്യത്തിന്റെ വലിയൊരു സംഘം ആ ദൂതനോടുചേർന്നു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട്,
And suddenly there came with the angel a multitude of [the] host (heavenly *NK(o)*) praising God and saying:
14 “പരമോന്നതങ്ങളിൽ ദൈവത്തിനു മഹത്ത്വം; ഭൂമിയിൽ ദൈവപ്രസാദമുള്ള മനുഷ്യർക്കു സമാധാനം” എന്ന് ആലപിച്ചു.
Glory in [the] highest to God, and on earth peace among men (of good-will. *N(k)O*)
15 ദൂതന്മാർ അവരെവിട്ടു സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിയശേഷം, “നമുക്കു ബേത്ലഹേമിൽ ചെന്ന് അവിടെ കർത്താവ് നമ്മെ അറിയിച്ച ഈ സംഭവം കാണാം” എന്ന് ആട്ടിടയന്മാർ പരസ്പരം പറഞ്ഞു.
And it came to pass as they were departing from them into the heaven the angels, (and *ko*) the (men *ko*) shepherds (were speaking *N(k)O*) to one another; Let us go through indeed until Bethlehem and let us see declaration this that having happened which the Lord has made known to us.
16 അവർ വളരെവേഗത്തിൽ യാത്രയായി, അവിടെച്ചെന്ന് മറിയയെയും യോസേഫിനെയും പുൽത്തൊട്ടിയിൽ കിടക്കുന്ന ശിശുവിനെയും കണ്ടു.
And they came having hurried and they found both Mary and Joseph and the baby lying in the manger.
17 അവരെക്കണ്ടതിനുശേഷം, ഈ ശിശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ദൈവദൂതൻ തങ്ങളോട് അറിയിച്ചിരുന്ന കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം ആട്ടിടയന്മാർ പരസ്യമാക്കി.
Having seen now (they made known *N(k)O*) concerning the declaration which having been told to them concerning Child this.
18 ആട്ടിടയന്മാർ അറിയിച്ച വാർത്ത കേട്ട എല്ലാവരും ആശ്ചര്യഭരിതരായി.
And all those having heard they marveled concerning the [things] having been spoken by the shepherds to them.
19 എന്നാൽ, മറിയ ഇവയെല്ലാം ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സംഗ്രഹിച്ച് വിചിന്തനംചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
But Mary all was treasuring up declarations these pondering [them] in the heart of her.
20 തങ്ങളെ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെതന്നെ കേൾക്കുകയും കാണുകയുംചെയ്ത സകലകാര്യങ്ങൾക്കായും ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്ത്വപ്പെടുത്തുകയും പുകഴ്ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട് ആട്ടിടയന്മാർ തിരികെപ്പോയി.
And (returned *N(k)O*) the shepherds glorifying and praising God for all things which they had heard and seen even as it was said to them.
21 എട്ടുദിവസം പൂർത്തിയായപ്പോൾ, യേശുവിന്റെ പരിച്ഛേദനാസമയത്ത്, ശിശു ഗർഭത്തിലുരുവാകുംമുമ്പ് ദൈവദൂതൻ നിർദേശിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ “യേശു” എന്ന് അവനു പേരിട്ടു.
And when were fulfilled days eight to circumcise (Him *no*) (the child *K*) then was called the name of Him Jesus, which He had been called by the angel before conceiving He in the womb.
22 മോശയുടെ ന്യായപ്രമാണം അനുസരിച്ച് മറിയയ്ക്ക് ശുദ്ധീകരണയാഗത്തിനുള്ള ദിവസമടുത്തപ്പോൾ, യോസേഫും മറിയയും യേശുവിനെ കർത്താവിനു സമർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിനായി ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
And when were fulfilled the days of the purification of them according to the law of Moses, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present to the Lord
23 “ആദ്യം ജനിക്കുന്ന ആൺകുട്ടി കർത്താവിന് വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടണം,” എന്നു കർത്താവിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതനുസരിച്ചും
even as it has been written in [the] law of [the] Lord that Every male opening a womb holy to the Lord will be called;
24 “ഒരു ജോടി കുറുപ്രാവിനെയോ രണ്ടു പ്രാവിൻകുഞ്ഞിനെയോ യാഗം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു,” എന്ന് കർത്താവിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ കൽപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നതിനുമാണ് അവർ പോയത്.
and to offer a sacrifice according to that said in (the *no*) law of [the] Lord; A pair of turtle doves or two young pigeons.
25 അക്കാലത്ത്, ജെറുശലേമിൽ നീതിനിഷ്ഠനും ദൈവഭക്തനുമായ ശിമയോൻ എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യൻ ഇസ്രായേലിന് സാന്ത്വനംനൽകുന്ന മശിഹായുടെ വരവിനായി കാത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെമേൽ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
And behold a man there was in Jerusalem whose name [was] Simeon and man this [was] righteous and devout waiting for [the] consolation of Israel; and [the] Spirit was Holy upon him.
26 കർത്താവിന്റെ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ കാണുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ് മരിക്കുകയില്ല എന്നു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അരുളപ്പാട് ലഭിച്ചിരുന്നു.
And it was to him revealed by the Spirit Holy not to see death before than (when *no*) he may see the Christ of [the] Lord
27 ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ നിഷ്കർഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത് നിർവഹിക്കാൻ യേശു എന്ന പൈതലിനെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ കൊണ്ടുവന്നപ്പോൾ, ശിമയോൻ പരിശുദ്ധാത്മാവിന്റെ നിയോഗത്താൽ ദൈവാലയാങ്കണത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നു.
And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and in the [time when] bringing in the parents the child Jesus for the [thing] [were] doing they according to that accustomed by the law for Him,
28 അദ്ദേഹം ശിശുവിനെ കൈയിൽ എടുത്ത് ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറഞ്ഞു:
then he himself received Him into the arms (of him *ko*) and blessed God and said:
29 “സർവോന്നതനായ നാഥാ, അവിടന്നു വാഗ്ദാനംചെയ്തിരുന്നതുപോലെ, ഇപ്പോൾ അവിടത്തെ ദാസനെ സമാധാനത്തോടെ വിശ്രമിക്കാൻ അനുവദിച്ചാലും.
Now You dismiss the servant of You, Lord, according to the declaration of You in peace
30 അവിടന്ന് സകലജനങ്ങളുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്ന രക്ഷയെ എന്റെ കണ്ണ് കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു! ഈ രക്ഷ, സർവജനതകൾക്കും വെളിപ്പെടാനുള്ള പ്രകാശവും അവിടത്തെ ജനമായ ഇസ്രായേലിന്റെ മഹത്ത്വവുമാണല്ലോ.”
for have seen the eyes of mine the salvation of You
which You have prepared before [the] face of all the peoples,
a light for revelation of [the] Gentiles and glory of [the] people of You of Israel.
33 ശിശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് ശിമയോൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പറയുന്നതുകേട്ട് അവന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.
And were (the *no*) (father *N(K)O*) of Him and the mother marveling at the [things] being spoken concerning Him.
34 പിന്നെ ശിമയോൻ അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് യേശുവിന്റെ അമ്മയായ മറിയയോട്, “ഈ ശിശു ഇസ്രായേലിൽ അനേകരുടെ വീഴ്ചയ്ക്കും ഉയർച്ചയ്ക്കും നിദാനമാകേണ്ടതിനും
And blessed them Simeon and said to Mary the mother of Him: Behold this [Child] is appointed for [the] falling and rising up of many in Israel and for a sign spoken against.
35 അനേകരുടെ ശത്രുതയ്ക്ക് പാത്രമായിത്തീർന്ന് അവരുടെ ഹൃദയവിചാരങ്ങൾ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ഒരു ചിഹ്നമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിനും നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം പ്രാണനിലൂടെയും ഒരു വാൾ തുളച്ചുകയറും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
and of you also of her the soul will go through a sword — so that maybe may be revealed of many hearts [the] thoughts.
36 ആശേർ ഗോത്രത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ഫനൂവേലിന്റെ മകൾ ഹന്നാ എന്ന വളരെ വയസ്സുചെന്ന ഒരു പ്രവാചിക ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവർ വിവാഹംകഴിഞ്ഞ് ഏഴുവർഷം കുടുംബജീവിതം നയിച്ചശേഷം
And there was Anna a prophetess, daughter of Phanuel, of [the] tribe of Asher; she having advanced in years great, having lived with a husband years seven from the marriage of herself;
37 വിധവയായി. അവർക്കപ്പോൾ എൺപത്തിനാല് വയസ്സായിരുന്നു. ആ വയോധിക ഒരിക്കലും ദൈവാലയം വിട്ടുപോകാതെ, ഉപവസിച്ചും പ്രാർഥിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു രാപകൽ ദൈവത്തെ ആരാധിച്ചു സമയം ചെലവഴിച്ചു.
and she [was] a widow (until *N(k)O*) years eighty [and] four who not was departing (from *k*) the temple with fastings and prayers serving night and day;
38 ശിമയോൻ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഹന്നാ അവരുടെ അടുക്കൽച്ചെന്ന്, ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ച്, ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പു പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരോടും ശിശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചു.
And (this *k*) she at that hour having come up she was giving praise (to God *N(K)O*) and was speaking concerning Him to all those waiting for [the] redemption (in *k*) of Jerusalem.
39 കർത്താവിന്റെ ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ നിഷ്കർഷിച്ചിരുന്നതെല്ലാം നിർവഹിച്ചശേഷം യോസേഫും മറിയയും ഗലീലാപ്രവിശ്യയിലെ തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം പട്ടണമായ നസറെത്തിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.
And when they had performed (everything *N(k)O*) according to the law of [the] Lord, (they returned *N(k)O*) to Galilee to (the *k*) town (of themselves *N(k)O*) Nazareth.
40 പൈതൽ വളർന്നു ശക്തനായി; ജ്ഞാനത്താൽ നിറഞ്ഞു; ദൈവകൃപയും ആ ശിശുവിന്റെമേൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
And the Child was continuing to grow and He was being strengthened (in spirit *K*) being filled (with wisdom, *N(k)O*) and [the] grace of God was upon Him.
41 അവന്റെ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ വർഷംതോറും പെസഹാപ്പെരുന്നാളിന് ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുക പതിവായിരുന്നു.
And were going the parents of Him every year to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover.
42 യേശുവിനു പന്ത്രണ്ട് വയസ്സായപ്പോൾ അവർ പതിവുപോലെ പെരുന്നാളിനു പോയി.
And when He was years [old] twelve (when were going up *N(k)O*) they (into Jerusalem *KO*) according to the custom of the Feast
43 പെരുന്നാളിനുശേഷം മാതാപിതാക്കൾ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങുമ്പോൾ ബാലനായ യേശു ജെറുശലേമിൽത്തന്നെ തങ്ങി; എന്നാൽ അവർ അതറിഞ്ഞില്ല.
and when having completed the days in the returning of them remained behind Jesus the boy in Jerusalem, But not (knew *N(k)O*) (the parents *NO*) (Joseph and the mother *K*) of Him.
44 യേശു തങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടെന്നു കരുതി അവർ ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി പിന്നിട്ടു. പിന്നെ ബന്ധുക്കളുടെയും മിത്രങ്ങളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ അവനെ അന്വേഷിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
Having supposed now Him to be in their company they went a day’s journey and were seeking Him among the relatives and (in *k*) the acquaintances.
45 കാണാതായപ്പോൾ ബാലനെ തെരയാൻ അവർ ജെറുശലേമിലേക്കു തിരികെപ്പോയി.
and not having found (Him *k*) they returned to Jerusalem (searching *N(k)O*) Him.
46 മൂന്ന് ദിവസത്തിനുശേഷം അവർ യേശുവിനെ ദൈവാലയാങ്കണത്തിൽ കണ്ടെത്തി; യേശു ഉപദേഷ്ടാക്കന്മാരുടെ നടുവിൽ ഇരുന്ന് അവരുടെ ഉപദേശം ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുകയും അവരോടു ചോദ്യങ്ങൾ ചോദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു.
And it came to pass after days three they found Him in the temple sitting in [the] midst of the teachers both hearing them and questioning them.
47 യേശുവിന്റെ വചസ്സുകൾ കേട്ട എല്ലാവരും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജ്ഞാനത്തിലും യേശു നൽകിയ മറുപടികളിലും വിസ്മയിച്ചു.
Were amazed then all those hearing Him at the understanding and at the answers of Him.
48 യേശുവിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ മാതാപിതാക്കൾ ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു. മാതാവ് അവനോട്, “മകനേ, ഞങ്ങളോട് നീ എന്തിനിങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തു? നിന്റെ പിതാവും ഞാനും എത്ര ഉത്കണ്ഠയോടെ നിന്നെ തെരയുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നറിയാമോ?” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
And having seen Him they were astonished, and said to Him the mother of Him: Child why You did to us thus? Behold the father of You and I myself and I myself distressing (were seeking *NK(o)*) You.
49 യേശു അവരോട്, “നിങ്ങൾ എന്നെ തെരഞ്ഞതെന്തിന്? എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ ഭവനത്തിൽ ഞാൻ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതാണെന്ന് നിങ്ങൾക്കറിയില്ലേ?” എന്നു പ്രതിവചിച്ചു.
And He said to them; Why [is it] for you were seeking Me? Surely you knew that in the [house] of the Father of Mine it behooves to be Me?
50 യേശു പറഞ്ഞതിന്റെ അർഥം അവർ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല.
And they themselves not understood the declaration that He spoke to them.
51 അതിനുശേഷം യേശു അവരോടുകൂടെ നസറെത്തിലേക്കുപോയി അവർക്ക് അനുസരണയുള്ളവനായി കഴിഞ്ഞു. അവന്റെ മാതാവ് ഈ കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം ഹൃദയത്തിൽ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
And He went down with them and He came to Nazareth and He was subject to them. And the mother of Him was treasuring up all declaration (these *ko*) in the heart of her.
52 യേശുവോ, ജ്ഞാനത്തിലും പ്രായത്തിലും ദൈവത്തിന്റെയും മനുഷ്യരുടെയും പ്രസാദത്തിലും മുന്നേറിക്കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
And Jesus was continuing to advance (in *n*) (*no*) wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.
