ലേവ്യപുസ്തകം 22

1 യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

2 “ഇസ്രായേല്യർ എനിക്കു ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധയാഗങ്ങളെ, ബഹുമാനത്തോടെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യണമെന്നും, അങ്ങനെ അവർ എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതെന്നും അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും പറയുക. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, that they be separated from the holy thinges of the children of Israel, and that they pollute not mine holy name in those things, which they hallowe vnto me: I am the Lord.

3 “അവരോടു പറയുക: ‘നിങ്ങളുടെ വരുംതലമുറകളിൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെ സന്തതിപരമ്പരയിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യഹോവയ്ക്കു വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച വഴിപാടുകളുടെ അടുക്കൽ വരികയാണെങ്കിൽ, അയാളെ എന്റെ സന്നിധിയിൽനിന്ന് ഛേദിച്ചുകളയണം. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

Say vnto them, Whosoeuer he be of all your seede among your generations after you, that toucheth the holy things which the children of Israel hallowe vnto the Lord, hauing his vncleannesse vpon him, euen that person shall be cut off from my sight: I am the Lord.

4 “‘അഹരോന്റെ സന്തതിയിൽ ആർക്കെങ്കിലും കുഷ്ഠമോ ശുക്ലസ്രവമോ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ശുദ്ധമാകുന്നതുവരെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്. ശവത്തെയോ ബീജസ്ഖലനമുള്ളവനെയോ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവൻ അശുദ്ധനാകും.

Whosoeuer also of the seede of Aaron is a leper, or hath a running issue, he shall not eate of the holy things vntill he be cleane: and who so toucheth any that is vncleane, by reason of the dead, or a man whose issue of seede runneth from him,

5 അശുദ്ധമായ ഏതെങ്കിലും ഇഴജന്തുവിനെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ, ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധനായ ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ, ഏതെങ്കിലും മാലിന്യത്തെ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ; അശുദ്ധി എന്തുതന്നെയായാലും, ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവർ അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും.

Or the man that toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made vncleane, or a man, by whom he may take vncleannesse, whatsoeuer vncleannesse he hath,

6 ഇവ ഏതെങ്കിലും സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവർ സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും. അവർ വെള്ളത്തിൽ കുളിച്ചിട്ടല്ലാതെ വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ ഒന്നും ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.

The person that hath touched such, shall therefore be vncleane vntill the euen, and shall not eat of ye holy things, except he haue washed his flesh with water.

7 സൂര്യൻ അസ്തമിക്കുമ്പോൾ അവർ ശുദ്ധരാകും. അതിനുശേഷം അവർക്ക് വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ ഭക്ഷിക്കാം. അത് അവരുടെ ആഹാരമല്ലോ.

But when the Sunne is downe, hee shalbe cleane, and shall afterward eate of the holy things: for it is his foode.

8 ചത്തതോ വന്യമൃഗങ്ങൾ കടിച്ചുകീറിയതോ ആയ ഒന്നും ഭക്ഷിച്ച് അവർ അശുദ്ധരാകരുത്. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

Of a beast that dyeth, or is rent with beasts, whereby he may be defiled, hee shall not eate: I am the Lord.

9 “‘പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അവ അശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തു കുറ്റക്കാരായി മരിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ എന്റെ ശുശ്രൂഷ ഗൗരവത്തോടെ ചെയ്യണം. ഞാൻ അവരെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

Let them keepe therefore mine ordinance, least they beare their sinne for it, and die for it, if they defile it: I the Lord sanctifie them.

10 “‘പുരോഹിതകുടുംബത്തിന് അന്യരായ ഒരാളും വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കളിൽനിന്ന് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്, പുരോഹിതന്റെ അതിഥിയോ കൂലിക്കാരനോ അതു തിന്നരുത്.

There shall no stranger also eate of the holie thing, neither the ghest of the Priest, neither shall an hired seruant eat of the holie thing:

11 എന്നാൽ ഒരു പുരോഹിതൻ ഒരു അടിമയെ പണം കൊടുത്തു വാങ്ങുകയോ തന്റെ വീട്ടിൽ ഒരു അടിമ ജനിക്കുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ ആ അടിമയ്ക്ക് അവന്റെ ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം.

But if the Priest bye any with money, he shall eate of it, also he that is borne in his house: they shall eate of his meate.

12 ഒരു പുരോഹിതന്റെ മകൾ പുരോഹിതനല്ലാത്ത ഒരാളെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ചാൽ അവൾ വിശുദ്ധമായ ഓഹരിയിൽനിന്ന് ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.

If the Priests daughter also be maried vnto a stranger, she may not eate of the holy offrings.

13 എന്നാൽ ഒരു പുരോഹിതന്റെ മകൾ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളില്ലാതെ വിധവയാകുകയോ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുകയോ ചെയ്തിട്ട്, അവളുടെ യൗവനകാലത്തിലെന്നപോലെ അവളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ വീട്ടിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിവന്നാൽ, അവൾക്ക് അവളുടെ പിതാവിന്റെ ആഹാരം ഭക്ഷിക്കാം. എങ്കിലും ഒരു പുരോഹിതകുടുംബത്തിനു പുറത്തുനിന്നുള്ള ആരും അതിൽനിന്നും ഭക്ഷിക്കരുത്.

Notwithstanding if the Priests daughter be a widowe or diuorced, and haue no childe, but is returned vnto her fathers house shee shall eate of her fathers bread, as she did in her youth but there shall no stranger eate thereof.

14 “‘ഒരാൾ അബദ്ധത്തിൽ വിശുദ്ധയാഗം ഭക്ഷിച്ചുപോയാൽ അയാൾ ഭക്ഷിച്ച യാഗവസ്തുവും അതിന്റെ വിലയുടെ അഞ്ചിലൊന്നുംകൂട്ടി പുരോഹിതനു നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം ചെയ്യണം.

If a man eate of the holie thing vnwittingly, he shall put the fift part thereunto, and giue it vnto the Priest with the halowed thing.

15 ഇസ്രായേല്യർ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന വിശുദ്ധവസ്തുക്കൾ—അനുവദനീയമല്ലാത്ത വ്യക്തികൾക്ക് ഭക്ഷിക്കാൻ നൽകുന്നതുമൂലം—പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുത്.

So they shall not defile the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer vnto the Lord,

16 ഈ അകൃത്യത്തിന്റെ കുറ്റം അവരുടെമേൽ വരികയും നഷ്ടപരിഹാരം നൽകേണ്ടിവരികയും ചെയ്യും. ഞാൻ അവരെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.’”

Neither cause the people to beare the iniquitie of their trespas, while they eate their holy thing: for I the Lord do halowe them.

17 യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

18 “അഹരോനോടും അവന്റെ പുത്രന്മാരോടും സകല ഇസ്രായേല്യരോടും സംസാരിക്കുക. അവരോട് ഇപ്രകാരം പറയുക: ‘നിങ്ങളിലൊരാൾ—ഇസ്രായേല്യരോ ഇസ്രായേലിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പ്രവാസിയോ—നേർച്ചയായോ സ്വമേധാദാനമായോ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ഹോമയാഗം കൊണ്ടുവരുന്നെങ്കിൽ,

Speake vnto Aaron, and to his sonnes, and to all the children of Israel, and say vnto them, Whosoeuer he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his sacrifice for all their vowes, and for all their free offrings, which they vse to offer vnto the Lord for a burnt offring,

19 അതു നിങ്ങളുടെ പേർക്കു സ്വീകാര്യമായിരിക്കാൻ, മാടുകളിൽനിന്നോ ചെമ്മരിയാടുകളിൽനിന്നോ കോലാടുകളിൽനിന്നോ ഊനമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ആണിനെ കൊണ്ടുവരണം.

Yee shall offer of your free minde a male without blemish of the beeues, of the sheepe, or of the goates.

20 ഊനമുള്ള ഒന്നിനെയും കൊണ്ടുവരരുത്. അതിനാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.

Ye shall not offer any thing that hath a blemish: for that shall not be acceptable for you.

21 ഒരു പ്രത്യേക നേർച്ച നിറവേറ്റാനോ സ്വമേധാദാനം അർപ്പിക്കാനോ കാലിക്കൂട്ടത്തിൽനിന്നാകട്ടെ ആട്ടിൻപറ്റത്തിൽനിന്നാകട്ടെ, ഒരാൾ ഒരു സമാധാനയാഗം യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അതു സ്വീകാര്യമായിരിക്കാൻ ഊനമോ കളങ്കമോ ഇല്ലാത്തതായിരിക്കണം.

And whosoeuer bringeth a peace offring vnto ye Lord to accomplish his vowe, or for a free offring, of the beeues, or of the sheepe, his free offring shall bee perfect, no blemish shalbe in it.

22 കുരുടുള്ളതോ മുറിവേറ്റതോ അംഗഭംഗം വന്നതോ അരിമ്പാറയുള്ളതോ പഴുത്തു സ്രവം ഒലിക്കുന്ന ചുണങ്ങുള്ളതോ ആയ ഒന്നും യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കരുത്. ഇവയിലൊന്നും യഹോവയ്ക്കു ദഹനയാഗമായി യാഗപീഠത്തിൽ അർപ്പിക്കരുത്.

Blinde, or broken, or maimed, or hauing a wenne, or skiruie, or skabbed: these shall yee not offer vnto the Lord nor make an offring by fire of these vpon the altar of the Lord.

23 എങ്കിലും വിരൂപമായതോ കുറുകിയതോ ആയ ഒരു കാളയെയോ ആണാടിനെയോ സ്വമേധാദാനമായി അർപ്പിക്കാം; എന്നാൽ അത് ഒരു നേർച്ചയുടെ നിർവഹണമായി സ്വീകാര്യമല്ല.

Yet a bullocke, or a sheepe that hath any member superfluous, or lacking, such mayest thou present for a free offring, but for a vowe it shall not be accepted.

24 വൃഷണങ്ങൾ തകർന്നതോ ചതച്ചതോ കീറിയതോ മുറിച്ചതോ ആയ മൃഗത്തെ നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അർപ്പിക്കരുത്. നിങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്തം ദേശത്ത് ഇതു ചെയ്യരുത്.

Ye shall not offer vnto ye Lord that which is bruised or crusshed, or broken, or cut away, neither shall ye make an offring thereof in your land,

25 ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള മൃഗങ്ങളെ ഒരു പ്രവാസിയുടെ കൈയിൽനിന്ന് സ്വീകരിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിനു ഭോജനമായി അർപ്പിക്കരുത്. അവ വിരൂപവും അംഗഹീനമുള്ളതും ആയതുകൊണ്ട് അവയാൽ നിങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രസാദം ലഭിക്കുകയില്ല.’”

Neither of ye hand of a strager shall ye offer ye bread of your God of any of these, because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them: therefore shall they not be accepted for you.

26 യഹോവ മോശയോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:

And the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,

27 “ഒരു കന്നുകുട്ടിയോ ആട്ടിൻകുട്ടിയോ കോലാടോ പിറന്നാൽ അത് ഏഴുദിവസം തള്ളയോടുകൂടെ ആയിരിക്കണം. എട്ടാംദിവസംമുതൽ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു ദഹനയാഗമായി സ്വീകാര്യമായിരിക്കും.

When a bullocke, or a sheepe, or a goate shall be brought foorth, it shalbe euen seuen daies vnder his damme: and from the eight day forth, it shalbe accepted for a sacrifice made by fire vnto the Lord.

28 ഒരു പശുവിനെയോ ഒരു ആടിനെയോ കൊല്ലുന്നദിവസംതന്നെ അതിന്റെ കുട്ടിയെയും കൊല്ലരുത്.

As for the cowe or the ewe, yee shall not kill her, and her yong both in one day.

29 “നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് ഒരു സ്തോത്രയാഗം അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളുടെ പേർക്കു സ്വീകാര്യമാകുന്നവിധം അർപ്പിക്കുക.

So when ye will offer a thanke offring vnto the Lord, ye shall offer willingly.

30 അന്നുതന്നെ അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കണം. പ്രഭാതംവരെ അതിൽ അൽപ്പംപോലും ശേഷിപ്പിക്കരുത്. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

The same day it shalbe eaten, yee shall leaue none of it vntill the morowe: I am the Lord.

31 “എന്റെ കൽപ്പനകൾ പ്രമാണിച്ച് അവയെ അനുസരിക്കുക. ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

Therefore shall ye keepe my commandements and do them: for I am the Lord.

32 എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധനാമത്തെ നിങ്ങൾ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുത്. ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ മധ്യേ ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടണം. ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.

Neither shall ye pollute mine holy Name, but I will be halowed among the children of Israel. I the Lord sanctifie you,

33 നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായിരിക്കാൻ നിങ്ങളെ ഈജിപ്റ്റിൽനിന്ന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ഞാൻ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.”

Which haue brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord.
