യോശുവ 4

1 ഇസ്രായേൽജനത മുഴുവനും യോർദാൻ കടന്നശേഷം യഹോവ യോശുവയോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചു:

and to be like/as as which to finish all [the] nation to/for to pass [obj] [the] Jordan and to say LORD to(wards) Joshua to/for to say

2 “ഓരോ ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നും ഓരോ ആൾവീതം പന്ത്രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുക.

to take: take to/for you from [the] people two ten human man one man one from tribe

3 യോർദാന്റെ മധ്യത്തിൽ, പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ കാൽ ഉറച്ചുനിന്ന സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്നും പന്ത്രണ്ടു കല്ലുകൾ എടുത്ത് ഇന്നു രാത്രി നിങ്ങൾ പാർക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്ത് കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവെക്കാൻ അവരോടു പറയുക.”

4 അങ്ങനെ യോശുവ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ ഓരോ ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നും ഓരോ ആൾവീതം നിയമിച്ചിരുന്ന പന്ത്രണ്ടു പുരുഷന്മാരെ വിളിച്ച് അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു:

5 “യോർദാന്റെ നടുവിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പേടകത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിലേക്കു പോകുക. ഓരോരുത്തനും ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രസംഖ്യയ്ക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം ഓരോ കല്ല് ചുമലിൽ എടുക്കണം.

6 ഇതു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ഒരു ചിഹ്നമായിരിക്കട്ടെ. ‘ഈ കല്ലുകൾ അർഥമാക്കുന്നതെന്ത്?’ എന്നു ഭാവിയിൽ നിങ്ങളുടെ മക്കൾ ചോദിക്കുമ്പോൾ,

8 യോശുവ കൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെതന്നെ ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ ചെയ്തു. യഹോവ യോശുവയോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രസംഖ്യയ്ക്കൊത്തവണ്ണം പന്ത്രണ്ടു കല്ല് യോർദാന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്ന് എടുത്ത് തങ്ങൾ താമസിച്ച സ്ഥലത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി വെച്ചു.

10 മോശ യോശുവയോടു നിർദേശിച്ചിരുന്നതുപോലെ, യോശുവയോട് യഹോവ കൽപ്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ജനം ചെയ്തുതീരുന്നതുവരെ പേടകം വഹിച്ച പുരോഹിതന്മാർ യോർദാന്റെ നടുവിൽനിന്നു; ജനം വേഗത്തിൽ മറുകര കടന്നു.

15 പിന്നെ യഹോവ യോശുവയോട്,

16 “ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ പേടകം വഹിക്കുന്ന പുരോഹിതന്മാർ യോർദാനിൽനിന്ന് കയറിവരാൻ കൽപ്പിക്കുക” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.

17 “യോർദാനിൽനിന്ന് കയറിവരിക,” എന്ന് യോശുവ പുരോഹിതന്മാരോടു കൽപ്പിച്ചു.

18 അങ്ങനെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ യഹോവയുടെ ഉടമ്പടിയുടെ പേടകവും വഹിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് നദിയിൽനിന്ന് കയറിവന്നു; അവരുടെ പാദം ഉണങ്ങിയ നിലത്തു സ്പർശിച്ചയുടൻ യോർദാനിലെ വെള്ളം പൂർവസ്ഥാനത്തേക്കു മടങ്ങി, മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ തീരം കവിഞ്ഞൊഴുകി.

19 ഒന്നാംമാസം പത്താംതീയതി ജനം യോർദാനിൽനിന്ന് പുറപ്പെട്ട് യെരീഹോവിന്റെ കിഴക്കേ അതിരിലുള്ള ഗിൽഗാലിൽ പാളയമടിച്ചു.

24 ഭൂമിയിലെ സകലജനതകളും യഹോവയുടെ കരം ശക്തിയുള്ളതെന്നു മനസ്സിലാക്കുന്നതിനും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ നിങ്ങൾ എന്നും ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ടതിനുമാണ് അവിടന്ന് ഇപ്രകാരം ചെയ്തത്.”

because to know all people [the] land: country/planet [obj] hand: power LORD for strong he/she/it because to fear: revere [obj] LORD God your all [the] day: always
