യോശുവ 21
1 ഇതിനുശേഷം ലേവ്യരുടെ കുടുംബത്തലവന്മാർ—കനാനിലെ ശീലോവിൽവെച്ച്—പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാർ, നൂന്റെ മകനായ യോശുവ, ഇസ്രായേലിലെ മറ്റു ഗോത്രത്തലവന്മാർ എന്നിവരുടെ അടുക്കൽവന്ന് അവരോട്: “ഞങ്ങൾക്കു താമസിക്കാൻ പട്ടണങ്ങളും ഞങ്ങളുടെ കന്നുകാലികൾക്കു പുൽമേടുകളും തരാൻ യഹോവ മോശമുഖാന്തരം കൽപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടല്ലോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
Then came near the heads of the fathers of the Levites unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua the son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the children of Israel;
And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, YHWH commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
3 അങ്ങനെ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ തങ്ങളുടെ സ്വന്ത അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്ന് യഹോവയുടെ കൽപ്പനപ്രകാരം ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും പുൽമേടുകളും ലേവ്യർക്കു കൊടുത്തു:
And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of YHWH, these cities and their suburbs.
4 കെഹാത്യർക്കു കുലംകുലമായി ആദ്യത്തെ നറുക്കുവീണു. പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളായ ലേവ്യർക്ക്, യെഹൂദാ, ശിമെയോൻ, ബെന്യാമീൻ, എന്നീ ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്നു പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു.
And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, [which were] of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.
5 കെഹാത്തിന്റെ മറ്റു പിൻഗാമികൾക്ക്, എഫ്രയീംഗോത്രം, ദാൻഗോത്രം, മനശ്ശെയുടെ പകുതിഗോത്രം എന്നിവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്നു പത്തു പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു.
And the rest of the children of Kohath [had] by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.
6 ഗെർശോന്റെ പിൻഗാമികൾക്ക്, യിസ്സാഖാർഗോത്രം, ആശേർഗോത്രം, നഫ്താലിഗോത്രം, ബാശാനിലെ മനശ്ശെയുടെ പകുതിഗോത്രം എന്നിവരുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്ന് പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു.
And the children of Gershon [had] by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.
7 മെരാരിയുടെ പിൻഗാമികൾക്കു കുലംകുലമായി രൂബേൻ, ഗാദ്, സെബൂലൂൻ എന്നീ ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്ന് പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു.
The children of Merari by their families [had] out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.
8 ഇപ്രകാരം ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾ ലേവ്യർക്ക് ഈ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും യഹോവ മോശമുഖാന്തരം കൽപ്പിച്ചതിൻപ്രകാരം വിഭജിച്ചുകൊടുത്തു.
And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as YHWH commanded by the hand of Moses.
9 യെഹൂദാഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നും ശിമെയോൻഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നും താഴേ പേരുപറയുന്ന പട്ടണങ്ങളെ കൊടുത്തു.
And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are [here] mentioned by name, (mentioned: Heb. called)
10 (ലേവ്യരിൽ കെഹാത്യകുലങ്ങളിൽപ്പെട്ട അഹരോന്റെ പിൻഗാമികൾക്കാണ് ഇവ ലഭിച്ചത്. കാരണം ആദ്യത്തെ നറുക്ക് അവർക്കാണു വീണത്.)
Which the children of Aaron, [being] of the families of the Kohathites, [who were] of the children of Levi, had: for theirs was the first lot.
11 യെഹൂദാമലനാട്ടിൽ ഹെബ്രോൻ എന്ന കിര്യത്ത്-അർബയും ചുറ്റുപാടുമുള്ള പുൽമേടുകളും അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു. (അനാക്കിന്റെ പൂർവപിതാവായിരുന്നു അർബാ.)
And they gave them the city of Arba the father of Anak, which [city is] Hebron, in the hill [country] of Judah, with the suburbs thereof round about it. (the city...: or, Kirjatharba)
12 എന്നാൽ പട്ടണത്തിനു ചുറ്റുമുള്ള നിലങ്ങളും ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും അവർ യെഫുന്നയുടെ മകനായ കാലേബിന് അവകാശമായി കൊടുത്തു.
But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.
13 പുരോഹിതനായ അഹരോന്റെ പിൻഗാമികൾക്ക് അവർ ഹെബ്രോൻ (കൊലചെയ്തവർക്കുള്ള അഭയപട്ടണം), ലിബ്നാ,
Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs,
14 യത്ഥീർ, എസ്തെമോവ,
And Jattir with her suburbs, and Eshtemoa with her suburbs,
15 ഹോലോൻ, ദെബീർ,
And Holon with her suburbs, and Debir with her suburbs, (Holon: also called, Hilen)
16 ആയിൻ, യുത്ത, ബേത്-ശേമെശ് എന്നീ പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും ഇങ്ങനെ ഈ രണ്ടു ഗോത്രങ്ങളിൽനിന്നായി ഒൻപതു പട്ടണങ്ങളും;
And Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, [and] Bethshemesh with her suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes. (Ain: also called, Ashan)
17 ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്, ഗിബെയോൻ, ഗേബാ,
And out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with her suburbs, Geba with her suburbs, (Geba: also called, Gaba)
18 അനാഥോത്ത്, അൽമോൻ എന്നിവയും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളുമായി നാലു പട്ടണങ്ങളും കൊടുത്തു.
Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities. (Almon: also called, Alemeth)
19 ഇങ്ങനെ അഹരോന്റെ പിൻഗാമികളായ പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്കെല്ലാംകൂടി പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും ലഭിച്ചു.
All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, [were] thirteen cities with their suburbs.
20 ലേവ്യരിൽ കെഹാത്യകുലത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവർക്ക് എഫ്രയീംഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നും പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ലഭിച്ചു.
And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.
21 എഫ്രയീം മലനാട്ടിൽ ശേഖേം (കൊലചെയ്തവർക്കുള്ള അഭയപട്ടണം), ഗേസെർ,
For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount Ephraim, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs,
22 കിബ്സയീം, ബേത്-ഹോരോൻ, ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും,
And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs; four cities.
23 ദാൻഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് എൽ-തെക്കേ, ഗിബ്ബെഥോൻ,
And out of the tribe of Dan, Eltekeh with her suburbs, Gibbethon with her suburbs,
24 അയ്യാലോൻ, ഗത്ത്-രിമ്മോൻ ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും,
Aijalon with her suburbs, Gathrimmon with her suburbs; four cities.
25 മനശ്ശെയുടെ പകുതിഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന് താനാക്ക്, ഗത്ത്-രിമ്മോൻ ഇങ്ങനെ രണ്ടു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും;
And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs; two cities.
26 ഈ പത്തു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും കെഹാത്യകുലത്തിൽ ശേഷിച്ചവർക്കു ലഭിച്ചു.
All the cities [were] ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath that remained.
27 ലേവിഗോത്രത്തിൽപ്പെട്ട ഗെർശോന്യർക്ക്, മനശ്ശെയുടെ പകുതിഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്: ബാശാനിലെ ഗോലാൻ (കൊലചെയ്തവർക്കുള്ള അഭയപട്ടണം), ബെയെസ്തേര ഇങ്ങനെ രണ്ടു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും,
And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the [other] half tribe of Manasseh [they gave] Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Beeshterah with her suburbs; two cities.
28 യിസ്സാഖാർ ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്, കിശ്യോൻ, ദാബെരത്ത്,
And out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishon with her suburbs, Dabareh with her suburbs,
29 യർമൂത്ത്, ഏൻ-ഗന്നീം ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും;
Jarmuth with her suburbs, Engannim with her suburbs; four cities.
30 ആശേർ ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്, മിശാൽ, അബ്ദോൻ,
And out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with her suburbs, Abdon with her suburbs,
31 ഹെൽക്കത്ത്, രെഹോബ് ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും;
Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs; four cities.
32 നഫ്താലിഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്, ഗലീലായിലെ കേദേശ് (കൊലചെയ്തവർക്കുള്ള അഭയപട്ടണം), ഹമ്മോത്ത്-ദോർ, കർഥാൻ. ഇങ്ങനെ മൂന്നു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും;
And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Hammothdor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities.
33 ആകെ പതിമ്മൂന്നു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും ഗെർശോന്യർക്ക് കുലംകുലമായി ലഭിച്ചു.
All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families [were] thirteen cities with their suburbs.
34 ശേഷം ലേവ്യരിൽ മെരാര്യകുലത്തിന്, സെബൂലൂൻഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്. യൊക്നെയാം, കർഥ,
And unto the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with her suburbs, and Kartah with her suburbs,
35 ദിമ്നി, നഹലാൽ. ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും
Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities.
36 രൂബേൻഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്: ബേസെർ, യാഹാസ്,
And out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with her suburbs, and Jahazah with her suburbs,
37 കെദേമോത്ത്, മേഫാത്ത് ഇങ്ങനെ നാലു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും;
Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities.
38 ഗാദ്ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്ന്, ഗിലെയാദിലെ രാമോത്ത് (കൊലചെയ്തവർക്കുള്ള അഭയപട്ടണം), മഹനയീം,
And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, [to be] a city of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs,
39 ഹെശ്ബോൻ, യാസേർ എന്നീ നാലു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും.
Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities in all.
40 ഇങ്ങനെ ആകെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണങ്ങൾ, ശേഷം ലേവ്യരിൽപ്പെട്ട മെരാര്യകുലത്തിനു ലഭിച്ചു.
So all the cities for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were [by] their lot twelve cities.
41 ഇസ്രായേല്യരുടെ അവകാശത്തിൽനിന്ന് ലേവ്യർക്ക് ആകെ നാൽപ്പത്തെട്ടു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ പുൽമേടുകളും ലഭിച്ചു.
All the cities of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel [were] forty and eight cities with their suburbs.
42 ഓരോ പട്ടണത്തിനുചുറ്റും പുൽമേടുകൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എല്ലാ പട്ടണങ്ങളുടെയും ഭൂപ്രകൃതി ഏകദേശം ഒരുപോലെതന്നെയായിരുന്നു.
These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus [were] all these cities.
43 അങ്ങനെ യഹോവ, ഇസ്രായേലിന്, താൻ അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാർക്കു കൊടുക്കുമെന്നു ശപഥംചെയ്ത ദേശമെല്ലാം കൊടുത്തു; അവർ അതു കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തി അവിടെ താമസമുറപ്പിച്ചു.
And YHWH gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
44 പിതാക്കന്മാരോടു ശപഥംചെയ്തതുപോലെ യഹോവ എല്ലാ ഭാഗത്തുനിന്നും അവർക്കു സ്വസ്ഥതനൽകി. ശത്രുക്കളിൽ ഒരുവനുപോലും അവരുടെനേരേ നിൽക്കാൻ സാധിച്ചില്ല; അവരുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെയെല്ലാം യഹോവ അവരുടെ കൈയിൽ ഏൽപ്പിച്ചു.
And YHWH gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; YHWH delivered all their enemies into their hand.
45 യഹോവ ഇസ്രായേൽഗോത്രത്തിനു നൽകിയ നല്ല വാഗ്ദാനങ്ങളിൽ ഒന്നുപോലും നിറവേറപ്പെടാതിരുന്നില്ല; അവയെല്ലാം നിറവേറി.
There failed not ought of any good thing which YHWH had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
