യോശുവ 18
1 ദേശം ഇസ്രായേൽജനത്തിന്റെ നിയന്ത്രണത്തിലാക്കിയതിനുശേഷം ഇസ്രായേൽസഭ മുഴുവനും ശീലോവിൽക്കൂടി അവിടെ സമാഗമകൂടാരം സ്ഥാപിച്ചു.
And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up there the tabernacle of the congregation. And the land was subdued before them.
2 എന്നാൽ ഇനിയും ഓഹരി ലഭിക്കാത്ത ഏഴ് ഇസ്രായേല്യഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
And there remained among the children of Israel, that had not yet received their inheritance, seven tribes.
3 അതുകൊണ്ട് യോശുവ ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കളോടു പറഞ്ഞു: “നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ നിങ്ങൾക്കുതന്ന ദേശം കൈവശപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനു നിങ്ങൾ എത്രമാത്രം കാത്തിരിക്കും?
And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long will ye show yourselves slack to go to take possession of the land, which the Lord the God of your fathers hath given to you!
4 ഓരോ ഗോത്രത്തിൽനിന്നും മൂന്നുപേരെ നിയമിക്കുക. അവർ ദേശം നിരീക്ഷിച്ച്, ഓരോ ഗോത്രത്തിനും കിട്ടേണ്ട അവകാശമനുസരിച്ച് വിവരണം തയ്യാറാക്കാൻ ഞാൻ അവരെ അയയ്ക്കും. അവർ വിവരണവുമായി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവരേണം.
Furnish for yourselves three men for each tribe; and I will send them out, and they shall arise, and walk through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come again to me.
5 ദേശം ഏഴായി ഭാഗിക്കണം. യെഹൂദാഗോത്രം ദക്ഷിണപ്രദേശത്തും യോസേഫിന്റെ ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ ഉത്തരപ്രദേശത്തും താമസിക്കട്ടെ.
And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall remain on his boundary at the south, and the house of Joseph shall remain on their boundary at the north.
6 ദേശത്തിന്റെ ഏഴു ഭാഗങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വിവരണം തയ്യാറാക്കി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വരിക, ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി നറുക്കിടും.
But you shall make a description of the land in seven parts, and bring it hither to me; and I will cast the lot for you here, before the Lord our God.
7 ലേവ്യർക്ക് യഹോവയുടെ പൗരോഹിത്യശുശ്രൂഷ അവകാശമായിരിക്കുകയാൽ, നിങ്ങളുടെയിടയിൽ പ്രത്യേക ഓഹരിയില്ല. ഗാദിനും രൂബേനും മനശ്ശെയുടെ പകുതിഗോത്രത്തിനും യഹോവയുടെ ദാസനായ മോശ അവർക്കു യോർദാന്റെ കിഴക്കേ തീരത്തു നൽകിയ ഓഹരി ലഭിച്ചുകഴിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു.”
For to the Levites there is no portion among you; for the priesthood of the Lord is their inheritance; and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Menasseh have already received their inheritance beyond the Jordan, at the east, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave to them.
8 ദേശം നിരീക്ഷിക്കാൻ ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ പുറപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ യോശുവ അവരോട്, “നിങ്ങൾ ദേശം നോക്കി മനസ്സിലാക്കി വിവരണവും എഴുതി എന്റെ അടുക്കൽ മടങ്ങിവരിക. ഞാൻ ഇവിടെ ശീലോവിൽ യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽവെച്ചു നിങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി നറുക്കിടും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
And the men arose, and went away; and Joshua charged those that went to describe the land, saying, Go and walk through the land, and describe it, and return again to me; and here will I cast the lot for you before the Lord, in Shiloh.
9 അങ്ങനെ ആ പുരുഷന്മാർ പോയി ദേശത്തുകൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. അവർ പട്ടണംപട്ടണമായി ഒരു വിവരണം ഏഴുഭാഗങ്ങളായി ഒരു പുസ്തകച്ചുരുളിൽ എഴുതി, ശീലോവിൽ യോശുവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ പാളയത്തിൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു.
And the men went and passed through the land, and described it according to the cities in seven parts in a book; and they came again to Joshua to the camp at Shiloh.
10 യോശുവ ശീലോവിൽവെച്ചു യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ അവർക്കുവേണ്ടി നറുക്കിട്ടു; അവിടെവെച്ചു ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്ക് ഗോത്രവിഭാഗപ്രകാരം ദേശം വിഭജിച്ചു.
And Joshua cast the lot for them in Shiloh before the Lord; and Joshua divided there the land unto the children of Israel according to their divisions.
11 ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രത്തിനു കുലംകുലമായി ആദ്യത്തെ നറുക്കുവീണു. അവരുടെ അവകാശഭൂമി യെഹൂദയുടെയും യോസേഫിന്റെയും ഗോത്രങ്ങളുടെ അവകാശങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.
And the lot of the tribe of the children of Benjamin came up according to their families; and the boundary of their lot came forth between the children of Judah and the children of Joseph.
12 അതിന്റെ വടക്കേ അതിര് യോർദാൻനദിയിൽ ആരംഭിച്ച്, യെരീഹോവിന്റെ വടക്കേ ചരിവ് കടന്ന്, പടിഞ്ഞാറ് മലനാട്ടിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ച് ബേത്-ആവെൻ മരുഭൂമിയിൽക്കൂടി പുറത്തുവരുന്നു.
And their boundary was on the north side [starting] from the Jordan; and the boundary went up to the side of Jericho on the north, and went up through the mountains westward; and its terminations were at the wilderness of Beth-aven.
13 അവിടെനിന്നും ബേഥേൽ എന്ന ലൂസിന്റെ തെക്കേ ചരിവിലേക്കു കടന്ന് താഴത്തെ ബേത്-ഹോരോന്റെ തെക്കുവശത്തുള്ള കുന്നിലെ അതെരോത്ത്-അദാരിലേക്കിറങ്ങുന്നു.
And the boundary went over from there toward Luz, to the south side of Luz, which is Beth-el; and the boundary descended to 'Atroth-addar, upon the mount that is on the south side of the lower Beth-choron.
14 തെക്കുവശത്തുള്ള ബേത്-ഹോരോന് എതിരേയുള്ള കുന്നിൽനിന്ന് ആ അതിര് വീണ്ടും തെക്കോട്ടു തിരിഞ്ഞു പടിഞ്ഞാറുവശത്തുകൂടി യെഹൂദാമക്കളുടെ പട്ടണമായ കിര്യത്ത്-യെയാരീം എന്ന കിര്യത്ത്-ബാലിൽ അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇതു പടിഞ്ഞാറേ ഭാഗം.
And the border extended [thence], and fetched a compass to the west side, to the south of the mount that is before Beth-choron at the south; and its terminations were at Kiryath-ba'al, which is Kiryath-ye'arim, a city of the children of Judah: this was the west side.
15 തെക്കേ ഭാഗം പടിഞ്ഞാറ് കിര്യത്ത്-യെയാരീമിന്റെ അതിരുമുതൽ നെപ്തോഹാ നീരുറവകളിൽ എത്തുന്നു.
And the south side commenced from the end of Kiryath-ye'arim, and the boundary went out on the west, and went out to the spring of the waters of Nephtoach:
16 പിന്നെ ആ അതിര് രെഫായീം താഴ്വരയുടെ വടക്കുവശത്തുള്ള ബെൻ-ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയുടെ എതിരേയുള്ള കുന്നിന്റെ അടിവാരത്തേക്കിറങ്ങുന്നു. പിന്നെ യെബൂസ്യപട്ടണത്തിന്റെ തെക്കേ ചരിവിൽക്കൂടി ഹിന്നോം താഴ്വരയിലേക്കു തുടരുകയും ഏൻ-രോഗേൽവരെ എത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
And the boundary went down to the end of the mountain that is before the valley of the son of Hinnom, and which is in the valley of Rephaim at the north, and descended to the valley of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusi on the south, and descended to 'Enrogel,
17 അവിടെനിന്നു വടക്കോട്ടു വളഞ്ഞ് ഏൻ-ശേമെശിലേക്കു കയറി അദുമ്മീം മലമ്പാതയ്ക്കെതിരേയുള്ള ഗെലീലോത്തിലേക്കും ചെന്ന് രൂബേന്റെ മകനായ ബോഹാന്റെ കല്ലുവരെ ഇറങ്ങുന്നു.
And extended northwardly, and went forth to 'En-shemesh, and went forth toward Geliloth, which is opposite to the ascent of Adummim, and descended to Eben-bohan the son of Reuben,
18 തുടർന്ന് ബേത്-അരാബയുടെ വടക്കേ ചരിവിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങി അരാബയിൽ എത്തുന്നു.
And passed along on this side opposite to 'Arabah northward; and went down unto 'Arabah;
19 പിന്നെ അത് ബേത്-ഹൊഗ്ലായുടെ വടക്കേ ചരിവിൽ ചെന്ന് ഉപ്പുകടലിന്റെ വടക്കേ ഉൾക്കടലിൽ യോർദാന്റെ അഴിമുഖത്ത് തെക്കുഭാഗത്ത് അവസാനിക്കുന്നു. ഇതായിരുന്നു തെക്കേ അതിര്.
And the boundary passed along to the side of Beth-choglah northward; and the terminations of the border were at the north bay of the Salt Sea at the south end of the Jordan: this was the south boundary.
20 കിഴക്കുവശത്തെ അതിര് യോർദാൻനദിയായിരുന്നു. ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രത്തിന് കുലംകുലമായി കിട്ടിയ അവകാശത്തിന്റെ എല്ലാവശങ്ങളിലുമുള്ള അതിരുകൾ ഇവയായിരുന്നു.
And the Jordan bounded it on the east side. This was the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, by its boundaries round about, according to their families.
21 ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രത്തിനു കുലംകുലമായി ലഭിച്ച പട്ടണങ്ങൾ ഇവയാണ്: യെരീഹോ, ബേത്-ഹൊഗ്ലാ, ഏമെക്-കെസീസ്;
Now these were the cities of the tribe of the children of Benjamin according to their families, Jericho, and Beth-choglah, and 'Emekkeziz,
22 ബേത്-അരാബ, സെമരായീം, ബേഥേൽ,
And Beth-ha'arabah, and Zemarayim, and Beth-el,
23 അവ്വീം, പാറാ, ഒഫ്ര;
And Avvim, and Parah, and 'Ophrah,
24 കെഫാർ-അമ്മോനി, ഒഫ്നി, ഗേബാ— ഇങ്ങനെ പന്ത്രണ്ടു പട്ടണങ്ങളും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും;
And Kephar-ha'ammonah, and 'Ophni, and Geba': twelve cities with their villages.
25 ഗിബെയോൻ, രാമാ, ബേരോത്ത്
Gib'on, and Ramah, and Beeroth,
26 മിസ്പാ, കെഫീരാ, മോസ,
And Mizpeh, and Kephirah, and Mozah,
27 രേക്കെം, യിർപ്പേൽ, തരലാ,
And Rekem, and Yirpeel, and Taralah,
28 സേല, ഹലെഫ്, ജെറുശലേം എന്ന യെബൂസ്യനഗരം, ഗിബെയത്ത്, കിര്യത്ത്—ഇങ്ങനെ പതിന്നാലു പട്ടണവും അവയുടെ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും. ഇവയാകുന്നു ബെന്യാമീൻഗോത്രത്തിനു കുലംകുലമായി കിട്ടിയ ഓഹരി.
And Zela', Eleph, and Jebusi, which is Jerusalem, Gib'ath, and Kiryath: fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families.
